Hi,
I have been thinking about egg donation for some time now, and I'm serious about helping a Canadian couple.
I will give full disclosure- I believe I am a good candidate, however, I have 2 strikes against me. I am 32 years old and I do not have children of my own. I am, however, 1 of 5 children, and have high familial fertility. My brother was born when my mother was 41, and my sister has 2 with another due in June. I will be going to a clinic in June to have my fertility assessed.
A very short biography: I currently live in Whitehorse, but was raised in Vancouver. In sports, I am a lifelong endurance athlete, completing several marathons and an Ironman triathlon. In work, I worked as a personal trainer and running coach for many years before deciding to return to school to become a physician. I have a double science degree- Honours with Distinction in Earth Science and Major in Biology. I am 5'3.5", with hazel eyes and dark blonde hair. I weigh 115 lbs, approximately. I don't have any medical conditions, and no-one in my very large extended family has any major conditions either. I'm adventurous and have a good sense of humour (you have to be those things to live in the Yukon!)
I'm obviously willing to travel. I'll be visiting Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver and Victoria this summer, and would be willing to meet.
I have a desire to be of service to others in almost everything I do. If you think I am acceptable to you, I'd love to help. If you'd like more info, feel free to email back. If my age or lack of proven fertility is a problem, I won't be offended, don't worry. I know that someone wanting my donation is slim, but I am willing to put myself out there in case someone would like me to.
I did post about 18 months ago, and I'm sincerely sorry if I gave anyone false hope. I have obviously been considering this for some time, and this fall/winter I'm ready to go through the process.
