Lauren - I'm sooooo happy for you!! :D :D And don't freak if you don't have a h/b (or 2) next week. I just wanted to share that at my 6 wk u/s we only saw gestational sac with yolk sac. But when we went back at 6w6d, the heart was beating & beautiful. Hopefully you'll have that great anniversary present but I didn't want you to panic if it was still too early.

Welcome KrysE, yes, many of us have had fet. And, yes, you will likely feel like your period is coming. Good luck.

AFM, anyone want to join me in hell? First the in laws show up criticizing the new washing machine, telling us the back yard (that we have been working long and hard on) is ugly, and the house is messy. Oh, let's not forget the hurry up and have a baby talk while out to dinner all because someone had an infant at the next table. Believe it or not, it continues. We go into the frozen yogurt bar only to have MIL rub my belly while telling me I shouldn't eat that. F*ck. Way to ruin a beautiful day.

At least I got all my dahlia tubers planted. Can't wait till late summer when they bloom. We have the most amazing flowers here in the pacific northwest.

We get to run tomorrow. Maybe it will relieve some stress. Going for a 10 miler. Dh will do 20. Hope you are all having a nice weekend.

Blue- I'm sorry for the surprise visit from the in laws! I can't believe how they were acting! Could you maybe find someone that can explain what is going on because of the language barrier? That has to be really aggravating! I'm sure your run will help with the stress....take it all out on that! :)

My son is doing great! No more nose bleeds! Thank you for asking. :) Can't believe my Nephew has to go through that AND he may not have if my hard headed sister and brother in law took him a year ago. Ugh.

krysE- Welcome to the group! There are so many wonderful ladies on here. Good luck and I hope you get your BFP!! I'm sure those AF like cramps are very common!! Don't worry!!

Leora,
Could it be a late implanter? I would retest tomorrow, please don't give up!

Nicole,
Ugh that must be so hard being around her. With the language barrier she obviously doesn't get it that you guys are doing the best you can. Someone needs to talk to her before you strangle this woman! Does dh have a close relationship to talk w/ her?

Gina,
I'm know you're relieved your son is doing much better with the nose bleeds. I cannot believe your nephew suffered this for so long. I wonder why parents have to be stubborn and think their kids are fine when they really need to seek medical attention! Frequent bleeds can't be normal...I will keep him in my prayers too. With your dh's retirement- Thanksgiving is still 6 months away so there still have to be time to get everything figured out and will work out. What are the next steps?

KrysE,
Welcome! I would love to be able to do a FET, the less meds the better. Best advice I can give you is try not to obsess because it will drive you batty. Hang in there time can only tell. :D

Amanda and Lauren How you doing this weekend?

Ninde,
What's going on with you in Ireland? I hope you are getting some rest this weekend and that throat is continuing to heal.

Anton,
I'm picturing you with an umbrella drink, having some fun away from it all.

Kynlee,
What is Cape Cod like? I've been down in the south way too long.

AFM: I told dh last night that I need a U.S. map to see if we can cover every state he's applying for college instructor jobs. I think Texas would win but I still like the idea of Maryland with four seasons...and the gorgeous valley and Washington D.C. I'm just exploring possibilities. I told him we would leave the washer and dryer behind since they are on their last leg! He responded I would be hanging onto them for a while since he's not planning on moving anytime soon. lol but what will next year bring us? Maytags? lol I'm so goofy sometimes but he tells me I've waited long enough that no matter what happens we're still having a family. That sounds so backyards to some but what exactly does stability these days mean to us? Absolutely nothing! Even if I have no idea where we're be living there is always the value of a family and that's priceless.

Christy- Thank you. Yeah my sister, I think she really did fall off a Turnip truck! My parents raised us better than that! If my parents weren't around, my Niece and Nephew wouldn't have anyone to take up for them. Just glad they can stand up for themselves now, but parents still have to be willing to listen!

I hope your DH finds something and it's where you would like to leave. That area would be really good esp with DC not too far off! You are right though....life can make many turns and no one knows what could happen next. Things could be in order and all settled and the next day it isn't. Putting off having a family because of that could never get you that family, so it's great y'all are going ahead with those plans.

Well everything is done for now...Next DH gets his sinus's checked again and is asking for a CT scan. Once those results are in, he will get a Physical from his reg Doctor, then start the VA process. VA does another Physical then goes over EVERYTHING in his medical records even before joining the military! They will evaluate all of that which will be a couple of months if not more, and we will find out what % disability he gets. It doesn't even have to be combat related. So any ear loss, vision, his disc problems in his neck, sinus's, wrist, knees and other stuff will be looked at. We hope to get at least 50% because that will mean extra money from a separate check. If it's less it's so much tax free which isn't bad still. Once all of that is done and some free classes we can take for info and one for interviews/resumes we just wait until it's time! We may have a vehicle waiting for us when we get to the states, if so we won't ship ours until the latest as possible...rentals are expensive here with the Euro rate for us. We will move into guest housing a couple of weeks before leaving, so our things can be on their way.

Leora- Don't let the test get you down. It's still early! Hang in there!!

Hi dear friends,

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Work has been awfully busy and I really haven't been feeling all that great. I recently had to see a Cardiologist because of the severe palpitations I have been having ( heart rate in the 130's). The doctor conducted several test which all came back negative. We are now just waiting for the holter monitor results. In the dnd it may just be that carrying these two little ones is being quite hard on my body and my heart, apparently. I have another u/s this coming Thursday. I'm looking forward to seeing the girls again.

Ninde & Julia-still having trouble with Skype. How are you guys doing?

Leora-I agree with Ninde. I think it may be too early. I'm saying lots of prayers for you.

Lauren & Amanda-how are the mamas doing? I'm spook happy for both of you.

Sunshine-how are you?

Gina-I'm glad your feeling better. How is everything else going?

Sorry for the lack og personals. Will try yo do more tomorrow. Sending each and everyone of you my love.

Love,
Maria

Maria, I'm sorry you are feeling so yucky. I've been through all those heart tests too but not while pregnant. It's scary enough without carrying babies. I hope they figure something out. Maybe it's just a pg thing.

Leora- I'm super bummed about your bfn. I'm crossing my fingers it's not the final answer.

Ninde- Holding my temper was very challenging yesterday. I decided to do my own thing and I believe it was clear I wasn't happy. They don't care though. This is just the way they are. It is so hard to describe. I get pissy at dh for not standing up to them for me. I feel like he should say "enough" and that we will not be fielding any more questions or comments about pregnancy.

Christy- I really think it's a double edged sword. If they know too much they will be too helpful. If they don't know enough they will be insensitive and overbearing. They are already trying to tell me what to eat and not eat. Don't eat sorbet, it's too cold. Don't eat cold. Don't eat too many raw veggies. Don't eat pineapple, don't do this, BLECK. Of course, this is all coming from some hard core Chinese culture. These people eat chicken feet, cow's stomach, tripe, bird's nest (yes, real bird's nest because the bird's spit is supposed to be so wonderful). Must not forget that this is all coming from MIL who has diabetes and had a stroke at 68. I'm afraid if they do know they will start shoving all kinds of weird teas and herbs down my throat. I already refuse to eat or drink something if I don't know what it is.

Oh and I can't forget the talk about not taking too many medicines, vitamins, whatever else they have decided I shouldn't do.

AFM- Had a good workout today. Did 5 miles one a really cool elliptical with high intensity stair intervals. The machine adjusts to your stride and makes you do all the work. Some ellipticals do too much of the work and are a waste of time. Then I did short bursts of intervals on the treadmill. If you want a tough workout then get on a treadmill and DON"T turn it on. Lean into the bars and run as fast as you can for 30 seconds. The work needed to get the belt going on your own will kick your butt. I did some other exercises too then enjoyed 30 mins in the sauna.

Long day tomorrow. I have a meeting after school. So I will have a 10 hour day. Summer break can't get here fast enough.

Chris - that makes sense, but kinda sucks. What I really like about my new clinic is that it's big (ER/ET everyday) but I have MY doctor who does all of my things. At the old clinic, it was a rotation, so I would get whatever doctor was on call, which for ER doesn't really matter (because I'm asleep!) but for ET would really bother me.

Lauren - :D California? I've never been. DH was born and lived until he was 10 in the NoCal region (San Jose/Palo Alto) and can't believe I've never seen a redwood or the Pacific. He wants to take me out there one day.

Margi - thanks. *I* think we will be great parents, but I don't know what they will think. I haven't done a lot of research on what the "right" answers are for adoption, but I hope saying that I want to learn and we want to talk to other adoptive parents and if she has any book recommendations - will be the 'right' answer.

Christy - moving *could* be really exciting - but I know it's super stressful. Any chance of having your IVF Attain thing move with you? Ie, move the approval to a different clinic? I hope something works out with DH's work soon!

Nicole - I'm so sorry things are so stressful with the in-laws. At least with our parents, we can explain that we are having trouble and they don't bug us about it. So hard in your case. <big hugs> I'm glad you got good workouts in though!

Krys - Welcome! We are on the same side of the world, I'm in Jerusalem Israel!

Gina - I love countdowns! :D Hopefully you'll be back in the USA for Turkey Day!

Patricia - enjoy your peace and quiet without DH :D

Maria - sorry you aren't feeling well - but glad to hear the babies are doing well. You are almost there!

AFM - I was 10dp2dt yesterday -- I've always gotten a BFP at 12"dpo", except the last time, which had a really low starting beta (21 at 13"dpo"), but even then I had a shadow of a line at 12"dpo". I don't hold out much hope. I just hope that if it's negative, it's really negative and we can start again ASAP (not a beta of 10 or whatever, which would delay a new cycle). I'm still not sure if my RE will let me do back to back cycles, but I'm going to push for it!

I'm going to POAS with my better sticks tonight. The one yesterday was a really crappy 25miu test -- my better `10miu ones are still held hostage :D I'll get them this evening.

I haven't mentioned here a lot, but DH and I have been having some MAJOR issues. We've been going to counseling every week. He wants to take a long break -- at least 6 months, but more like a year. I can't imagine doing that at all.

Last night, we came to a compromise. It's really important to him that I lose weight. I started going to the gym a few months ago, but that tapered off and I've stopped. We compromised that we can cycle again as long as I go to the gym 6 days a week. After the next cycle, we'll evaluate how that worked.

The foster-to-adopt thing isn't a new pursuit -but starting the home study is an exciting step! Hopefully we'll impress this lady! I wish I could get all of y'all to write a petition why we deserve a baby! If YOU were deciding, I KNOW we'd qualify! :D

Maria- Sorry about the palpatations! I get them very bad but it's due to my anxiety. I got some antidepressants to help but haven't had any in a while but haven't had any anxiety issues since finding out everything is good with retirement. I hope you get some answers and they can do something to help. Things are going well here, just itching to move!

Leora- Your post just gave me chills. I really hope you start seeing positives soon! If it didn't work I do hope it's a negative with no beta numbers so you don't have to have a break. You and your DH deserve this so much! I admire your strength SO MUCH! Heck I'm worry about IVF failing the first try for me and you've had so many fail and losses. Life just isn't fair sometimes and it is so hard. I truly hope you just need a stronger test because it's early and it will all be fine and you get a BFP and bring your babies home to raise. I know your home study will go just fine and believe me, if we could write something to help, we ALL would!

I'm glad y'all came to a compromise though. I too need to lose some weight. Hubby still insist I am fine but he also doesn't know my weight! I've only weighed this much once, when I was pregnant and I may be slightly more. I need to start working out again and I know if I get my lazy butt up and do it, I will enjoy it! Actually we are pretty active getting outside and walking the dogs 4-5 times a day, BUT if I don't change my eating habits I will never lose anything. I know I can't be at this weight doing IVF. I might be fine for the RE but I don't want this on me then add 25-30lbs for a pregnancy, ugh! We are just on the go so much. With the job DH is doing here he only works 3 times a week so we are always out and about and that means fast food! To help I can start eating something healthy and filling before we go and take an apple or something like that with us for a snack. Hubby has also gained a bit, although he's just fine. He has a bit of a belly that is so cute because he was always skinny. He looks healthy now but he wants the belly off at least. Having arthritis and not allowed to run, bike and things like that doesn't help. He hasn't done PT with the Army in 4 yrs and done for good now. It's hard and getting older doesn't help!!

We can start posting our updates on here and help each other out! I find planning and writing everything down helpful.

Blue- You can encourage us! You are awesome!! I need to start back on my treadmill but too lazy to walk downstairs lol. That is no excuse though and I need to just DO IT! I know I will feel better when I do! Glad your inlaws are leaving and you can finally rest.
