Cyn- Ill look tonight at the cream name I think it started with a E maybe Elma or emla I found it on line when research about the shot and how people deal with the pain lol and one girl siad she used the cream so I called my RE and she called it in for me :) The nurse said it works great that I wont feel the shot just the pressure of it going through muscle since it doesnt numb muscle :) I am having nightmares over it, let me know what you think when you do it... Do you ahve high tolerance for pain?

Hi Girls have a question hoping a few can give me there opinion... I had A/f on the 15th I am usually get every 30 days I was originally scheduled for a 6/4 transfer but the Dr that I want to do transfer is available on the 8th.. ( he is the only one that knows my cervix inside and out, it is curved and difficult to work with unless I get it stitch which I dont want to do again...) Anyways now that I am doing it later then originally date is this going to give me less of a chance to get a BFP? I asked the nurse that called me to change my date and she said no cause I am on estrace and will be on progesterone so this will delay everything until beta and if I got a BFP I just continue med and if I get a bfn I stop meds and I will get A/F... I just want reassurance that this isnt going to automatically give me a BFN since it is close to my normal period date... I guess I assumed when doing a fet that you do transfer aropund real ovualtion day? Any input would be great :)

Kynlee - So exciting that you are gearing up for a transfer. I do not feel the dates will make that big of a difference because as the nurse stated you are on the meds that will continue to support your lining and such to aide implantation. I will share my story with you though as food for thought. With my FET I had a particular day in mind so I requested the time off from work around that date and was all set. When I was going in for my ultrasounds to check my lining my doc was excited because my lining was "perfect" and he felt that we needed to capitalize on it and do the transfer sooner rather than later. Now, his reasoning was that I always bleed through all forms of Progesterone if a cycle has failed and the date we had set for the FET was over a week away. He did not want to risk my lining starting to break down just because we were waiting for a particular date. In the end I called into work and did the transfer the next day. I am so grateful that he made that call because that was the cycle that I got my BFP.

Like I said, I am not like most women because the meds are usually enough to keep the lining from shedding in other women. For whatever reason, in me that is not the case. If I were in your shoes, I would plan for the 8th, but pay close attention to how things are looking around the 4th. Also, keep in mind that when we ovulate, in general implantation occurs withing 7 days after ovulation. So as long as you are within that window you should be OK.

Ninde, Leora, Anton and Sunshine - Thanks for all the support whenever I crash in. I also thank you all for asking how I am doing. I am feeling VERY uncomfortable at the moment, but super excited. We are still in shock that we are this close to bringing our fellow home. Nursery is still not quite done :?, but DH is on his way home from Kuwait as we speak so definitely sometime next week we will finish the nursery. I have no sense that this guy may come early so I am OK with waiting for DH. I keep you all in my prayers and thoughts daily and I have faith that your miracles are right around the corner.

fvrogers- thank you so much for replying to my post :) you made more sense to me then the nurse did :) Thats why I love htis board you women have so much knowledge and so helpful at times like this now i know what to look for and ask on the 4th :) The 4th was my original transfer date but when they saw that I requested a different Dr for transfer they scheduled it for the 8th... I have tough transfers he just makes it easier and he is a awesome Dr wish he was my reak RE :) But She knows i like him so she charted it in my acct :) thanks again I will keep that info in my mind :) Hoping maybe this will be my BFP this is the first 5day blast i have ever done so I am more hopeful :)

Leora yay for AF I am so glad you get to cycle again right away

Lauren319 how did the ultrasound go today?

Amanda yay and congrats on a beautiful little sac with a yoke sac so happy for you

Kynlee good luck on your FET...I agree with Maria I would listen closely to when your body is "perfect" for transfer. I understand your hesitation because I too have a complicated cervix which has seen too many surgeries and a stitch at the bottom of my uterus to keep my pregnancy in (for those of you unfamiliar with it it is called a trans-abdominal cerclage and it is permanent and never gets removed) but when I did my FET back in 2010 I had to go 5days after my normal ovulation so I don't know what happens when you wait longer... I am always for things being closer to natural "as possible" I know with IVF its difficult but I think our bodies work better that way....Anyways just my opinion but you have to do what is best doe you...Good luck

Maria always happy to hear from you :)

Blue I understand being beat after the in-law visit and yay for getting your hair done. I always get mine highlighted so I can't wait to get to 12 weeks so I can get mine done

Hopethisworks so glad everything is going well

Cyn so you work with your husband? that must be so wonderful...I wish I worked with mine I miss him terribly during the week because his work is pretty far and he leaves at 8am and does not get home until 7pm. So when is your transfer?

AFM We are 10 weeks and graduated from the RE. Our last ultrasound was wonderful...the baby has grown so much and we got to see him/her suck a thumb and kick around :) I don't think I will ever stop worrying but thank God we are this far. Now just spending the weekend with family. It is so hot here is eastern PA I wish I was near a beach :) I am wishing you all a wonderful weekend and will continue to be here as your supporter and cheerleader.

It's nice to see some old cycle buddies checking in over here on us, :D Awww I feel so much love!

Felica- I know you cannot wait to meet your LO, how exciting to get this far along!!! Now if dh can get the nursery together everything else shall fall right into place.

Maria- Wow you are more then halfway to the finish line with the girls? Seriously where does time go? Maybe work is getting the best of us but at least it helps time go by faster. Oh the shower will be lovely, with all the girly things so fun! I remember my first baby shower I ever attended when I was around 14 for my aunt and her friends decorated with baby clothes hung across the room on a clothes line, it was soooo adorable.

Annashope- I was just thinking of you the other day, and it was good to hear from you that everything is going well. Your LO is soooo precious, and I know Paul is going to be so close are we thinking two in diapers at the same time? I cannot wait to find out what you are having, I forget WHEN the gender is revealed, I'm thinking at 20 weeks?

Lauren- Congrats on your twins, we know more then several ladies that bleeding happens early on, thankfully we have each other to know what to expect. I still remember this happening to Maria, could bleeding be more common for twins then singletons? Get plenty of rest, it's all going to be worth it.

Amanda- Glad your appt went well too, how is your husband reacting to the sound of twins?

Cyn- How awesome that you are your husband can work in a civil way together. I think I would kill mine around the third work day. We would be at each other's throat. lol but he wants me to study the FL Real Estate Course with him I just couldn't work for the same broker, I think we do better from a little distance. Our relationship seems to work well, our paster wouldn't marry us until we went through a class, lol most of all he learned I like a little space while I learned he likes affection displayed.

Kynlee- How are they doing overall? I hope many continue to support this family, it's so frightening to lose everything except the clothes on your back. It's especially tough going through the transition of where you're going to live, so thankful to have family close enough to stay with who can help you them get back on their feet. But at the same time trying to stay strong for the family must be the hardest. It's sad to lose a house EVERYTHING but what gets us through it was having each other and the family now more then ever appreciates all your support too. Good people are priceless and we thank God for putting us creatures on earth to help one another in time of need. :D

Blue- The in-laws would have me up the wall too, I know a good haircut can do wonders and your running is therapy in itself. I hope you take some time to just breathe in and separate yourself from all that drama, you deserve so much better then someone who comes across as an unsensitive MIL. Sometimes people just don't get it but that's why you have us!

AFM: Nothing exciting sigh just wishing I had more then 48 hours in a day, I cannot seem to get everything I need done before my friends visit. Like I said May really flew by and maybe that's good so we can get to IVF sooner. Much love to you ladies! Christy

Lauren - sooo exciting to see the 2 heartbeats! Congrats to you both!!

Annashope - that's a good picture of your baby.. I can't believe how fast they start growing! Yes working with my hubby is a plus at times & sometimes I'm like I'm off the clock no more talking!! Lol

Sunshine - like I was telling Annashope it's good at times because we get to travel together but he also travels like 5 times my once a month trip. So it's good when he's gone so I can miss him also I'm usually in the office everyday & he's out in meetings or traveling. I helped him start his company so it's like I have my own ways of doing things so it's good! We vibe off each other well!! But it's also why we waited so long to find out why we weren't getting prego then doing IVF while working with a growing company. We are now 12yrs strong with the business & have good employees in there place so I said this is finally ME time! So the good thing I can work from home if needed!

Amanda - glad everything is looking good with your baby/babies!!

So I got the call yesterday that everything is good & ready to start!!

My transfer is June 1st here is my meds the next week

Continue taking prenatal & Estrace (3 times a day)

Sunday May 27
HCG injection 5000 iu
Start progesterone  1.00ml

Monday May 28
Zpack
Medrol (1 tablet daily)
Increase progesterone to  1.5ml  -take everyday

Thursday May 31st
HCG injection 1000iu (20units)
Anaprox (2 pills daily)

Friday June 1st (transfer day )
Baby aspirin
Claritin
Bring Valium to transfer

Saturday June 2nd
HCG injection 1000iu (20units)

Tuesday June 5th
HCG injection 1000iu (20units)

I had to check & ask 3 times that I'm really doing 4 HCG shots ?? The pharmacy lady said yes it's new & we have seen good results with it .. So of course I started reading up on it & there wasn't much but people say that by doing this it tricks your body into thinking your pregrant so it starts producing more progesterone. (more natural progesterone) has anyone heard if someone doing this ?
One good thing is we paid our last IVF cycle call cash up front & they billed my insurance for labs & U/S but i already paid everything . They credited me back $2,000 since insurance covered it so this cycle is pretty much free!!
My husband is worried that it won't implant again & wants to only transfer 1 so were not wasting 2 at a time.. (as he put it) the doctor has said our chances are the same with 1 or 2 it's just If we want 1 or 2 kids .. I am now lending on going with 1 to see if this time it implants but then I think I might regret it if there aren't 2 in there! I would love twins & I won't have to do this again. But if we have 1 I think I'll be doing this again next year!! I need help , thoughts, stories !!!

Thanks girls !!!

-
Good Luck to ALL!

Cyn - I did 4 hcg shots this cycle. My RE pulled out all the stops. They're called boosters and they're supposed to help continuously trick your body into thinking its pregnant after your transfer to facilitate implantation. Well, it worked! We did two because we decided it was like "doubling down." We figured either we thought it would work or not and we'd have none or two. Even if we were wrong and got 1 we'd win. It really is a gamble.

Hi ladies

Kyrse: is your beta Monday? Let's hope your symptoms are pregnancy related :D

Maria: lovely to hear from you :D not great you are still low in energy. Would you like me to send you some reiki healing? And have you heard from julia?

Hopethisworks: yay, fantastic news :D

Gina: is it still hot with you? We are having wonderful temperatures in the mid 20s/high 70s which is marvelous

Leora: thanks for the info on menopur. I think I'll give it a go and hopefully my response will be a little better this time. And i didnt like to mention israel didnt get through to eurovision :( did you watch it? Great af arrived! And im with you on spoilers. Im on the third season of breaking bad and saw a magazine picture of what I presume is season 4 and just that image was enough to spoil it! How is the diva cup?I think because im starting ivf again in a couple of months that id like to come out of the bfn group and just stay in the miscarriage acknowledgment. Thanks a million

Knylee: how are you feeling now? And how did thefundraiser go?what a lovely thing to do.

Antonia: how are you? :D

Christy: now why cant i be like you and crave tomatoes and not chocolate!!

Amanda: your scan photo is wonderful!!! How are you feeling g?

Cyn: oh I like you can take your 4 day weekend

Nicole: sorry to hear the ms is really actingup. You are great to keep working out. Went back to rebounding last week but this bloody throat is bad again and im concerned about raising my temp too much with the reboundi g. But i downloaded a training g app so I should be ok to do that later. Im not surprised your anxiety is up after that visit. One thing I've found seems to really help to even it out is actually protein. Have you tried that?

Felicia: its my pleasure :D how are you doing?

Anna: marvelous news and absolutely miraculous how this all happened. Keep well

Lauren319: firstly co gratulations - more twins!! As christy said let's hope as with others here that all is well. Im keeping you all upper most in my thoughts. Keep resting

I hope I didnt miss anyone and my apologies if I did.

Afm: what a surprise - my throat is still sore and in a really weird way. Went back to doc for third visit yesterday and whilst its improving there is some of the infection behind where the remains of my tonsils are. She understandably was reluctant to do even more antibiotics so this time she went for an antibiotic fluid which you gargle with and an antibiotic spray. Because they work on the surface only she thinks they shouldnt cause too many complaints. And thanfully she gave me gynodaktarin!!! She is surprised though snd has scheduled me for a set of bloods tomorrow. Each time I've seen her its been on a sat which means the lab isnt open for swabs. I'lltry and bet them to swab to sorrow too. Im a little concerned because im usually really really healthy and kick things fast. This is my fourth Sunday in bed and im fed up because i cant exercise regularly and then of course it feels harder each time i can.

Anyway, will go and start grading the exams - i can do that in bed :D
