Ninde, it isn't too bad today. It was HOT yesterday but the breeze kept it feeling cool in the house.

I'm sorry you're dealing with a sore throat still! That has just gone on too long. I hope it clears soon, I know you hate being stuck in bed.

Could I ask for thoughts/prayers for a family? I don't know them or know any that was in the wreck, but my cousins ex-boyfriend(never met him either) was in the passengers seat. The girl he was with that was driving her car was hit head on by an SUV. She was 18 yrs old and died at the crash about 20 minutes later. He broke his fever bone and bruised up, had surgery and will be fine other than I'm sure some emotional problems he could face. The lady of the SUV is at fault and had three young kids with her, they were all air lifted to a hospital outside the area.

Just some thoughts and prayers for her family. I can't imagine what they are going through right now.

sorry - busy holiday weekend here! I'll do personals tomorrow at work.

Patricia - no, Israel did not make the Eurovision finals, but Ireland sent those crazy twins again? With a water fountain? NUTS!
And Gina - you should be proud - Germany had one of the hottest guys!

I just got home (1am) from watching Eurovision with a bunch of friends (Sat night/Sunday was a Jewish holiday, so we taped the Sat night airing of Eurovision and watched it now).

I have to be at the gym at 6am to be at the clinic at 7am to be at work at 8am! Then we have couple's counseling after work. Busy busy busy day!

I've got my Puregon all packed up and ready to go with me -- hopefully the baseline tomorrow will be good and I can start!

Sorry to cut this post so short tonight, AF showed herself this morning. I found some extra strength Midol offers relief up to 10 hrs but I'm feeling lightheaded. It must be an iron deficency so Ninde I don't think tomatoes will cut it. Yes I'm back to carving chocolate but trying to stay healthy..Tonight had some of dh's green beans he grew and these are quite delicious with bbq pork chops. ugh I still need to finish cleaning house but found my "honey-do list" I left him on the kitchen table is making the housework less painful. The key is not waiting until the last minute which I'm the world's worse when it coming to procrasinating, so the list really helps! :D

Christy - wow! How far is your clinic? No where closer to do SnS? I have one hour drive to the hospital, but a clinic about 10 min from my house, so I only have to drive out for ER and ET! Your day sounds crazy! Today I did - gym at 6, clinic at 7 and work at 8m and it was nuts! I think on clinic days, I'll have to go to the gym after work (which I usually don't like - more crowded and I have less energy). -- May really did fly by! I'm sorry AF came, but does this mean you start your BCP for your IVF? Or next cycle?

Amanda - remember that "only one" is a blessing -- I know everyone wants a "buy one, get one free" IVF cycle, but twin pregnancies are really complicated and high risk. Your u/s looks perfect for gestational age. I hope you see a great heartbeat on Wednesday!

Cyn - my DH has an orthodontist appt next week and hopefully he'll be getting his braces off! It'll be one whole year of metal mouth, so we're hoping. It'll either be this month or next, but hopefully this!

Sue - they make you wait 3 months, even when age is a factor? Wow that sucks. I was so sorry to hear your sad news. Big big big hugs. Loss after IVF sucks so bad.

Nicole - living here is really different, but really the same (if that makes sense!) I wake up and go to work like everyone else in the world, but on the way, I deal with sand storms :D So glad your in laws are gone!

Lauren - huge huge congrats! I had heavy heavy heavy bleeding on the day of my 6.5 week u/s, when we saw our boys' hbs for the first time. I thought I had definitely lost them, and was probably going to bleed to death. The bleeding stopped after a few hours and everything was fine. Relax, and try to stay off your feet. When do you have an u/s to check the babies again?

Kynlee - what do you do? Catering? My mom is a caterer too! I hope feel better and had a great, though exhausting, weekend!

Anna - hurray! 10 weeks is a great milestone! I'm so happy for you!

Patricia - I hate hate hate when people spoil things, especially on FB. That sucks. I hope I did the spoiler thing good enough that no one saw what they didn't want to see! So... Ireland came in pretty close to last in Eurovision, huh? Those two guys are nuts!
How are you still sick? This is insane!

AFM - baseline was great, and I start stims today! 225 Puregon and go back on Thursday for SnS (which seems really soon -- when do you usually have your first SnS? I'll only take 3 doses before my SnS... but the clinic is closed Fri/Sat and I guess Sunday is too far away...)

Of course, I hate hate HATE HATE HATE this crap - but I'm so excited for another chance to maybe get pregnant, and maybe have a baby.

Next social worker visit is Tuesday night -- and the house is still pretty clean!

Cyn- How was your 1st progesterone shot? Thats awesome that you got a $2000 credit to help with cycle that happened once last year for me and again this cycle so exciting to know you dont have to worry about the money part :)

Ninde- Thanks for asking about The Fundraiser is this Friday I ben so busy running around for raffles from restaraunts etc calling bakerys to donate pastry for the event etc... :) I love helping others out so this is the least I can do :)

Hi everyone! :D

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Lauren- Huge, huge, Congratulations on the twins honey!!! That is fantastic!! You did it girl! OMG! a boy and a girl is like a dream come true! for most of us! I am SO HAPPY for you!!! :D :D :D

Amanda- Hey you! :D Congratulations on seeing a gestational sac and f pole! That is fantastic honey! I know you wanted twins...and you still might get them  ...but don’t forget that one baby is a miracle blessing and two are a bonus! Every time we did a cycle, DH and I, couldn’t help but silently praying for twins, while in reality, one healthy baby would make us the happiest couple ever! I am sure that and in my next cycle again I am going to wish for twins but pray for a healthy baby. With twins I guess we feel that we can get off the ivf rollercoaster sooner and once and for all. We always wanted to have a big family with at least 3 kids...BUT look at us now, we might not even make it to even one! :( ...I wish you see 2HB’s in your next u/s but even if you don’t, you are still pregnant! :D You did it! :D and you are going to have a healthy baby and pregnancy!!!This is all that matters after all. I am SO HAPPY for you! :D :D

Ninde- you are kidding me with your throat! Poor you! This has gone too long! I hope this new medicine fix it once and for all! I sent you a big Cyprus ((HUG)) and wish you get well soon!!!

Leora- Yay for AF coming and YAY for getting the green light to start! I hope this is your time honey and with your passion and perseverance you are going to make it!!! I am your biggest cheerleader here! :D ...ok, maybe not the biggest, we are whole group of hormonal ladies here rooting for your BFP!!! ....horray for having fun in your work's toilet!  I remember Gonal F was in the form of a pre-filled pen and that was my favourate! easy peasy! YOU GO GIRL!!!

Christy- Yay for AF arriving for you too! :D Yes! May has almost gone and then June and then your baby/ies are coming home to mommy! Time will fly by without knowing it and your cycle is going to be great! :D I know it! I feel it! Wonderful days are coming for you honey! Wonderful! Filled with diapers and children’s laughs! You better clean that house asap!

Kynlee- Your plans sounds great! :D Have a great time with your sister! Love going to the beach! ...that is such good thing and reassuring hearing a success story about your clinic! :D Good luck with ur new cycle honey! :D

I know am leaving people behind but I have to run...

AFM-Job news: OMG! OMG! OMG! I cannot believe this is happening to me! Friday afternoon I received a phone call from DH’s University to inform me that they have decided to postpone the position vacancy until further notice! Thanking me for my time and presentation and blah blah. WTF! I was shocked! I am still in shock!  I called Nicholas right away if he heard anything and he didn’t. He asked here and there and found out that they got a call from the upper management to freeze the hiring’s on all Uni positions. Talking about luck here! Couldn’t they just hire me and then freeze the whole Uni premises if they wanted! The head of the Admissions spoke highly of me to DH and that most probably I was going to be offered the position. Yeah! Thank you very much! I told DH my theory that maybe the reason of this vacancy was to get free ideas from the candidates. He doesn’t agree with me because on Friday a colleague of his got fired and that is part of the austerity measures of the Uni. F*** them!

I still wait for that second interview at the other Uni for the same position as this one. First interview was March 21st! Can you believe how slow things are! :o At they told me I am in the final 8 from 1000 applicants! At least i know that  Also I received an e-mail from the Embassy of Finland ( I applied for a job as the PA and event coordinator of the Ambassador -it’s a she) that they will call me sometime this week for an interview. :D And from 2 other jobs I have found online. So more waiting...again. I will take anything! C mon! :?

DH and life news : Friday night was our regular date night at Wagamama. I LOVE Friday nights! Date nights with DH! Saturday morning I did some gardening and then DH came home and we had our second swim in our pool. Weather was amazing! Hot but not crazy hot...not yet! ...He made us a Greek salad for lunch and then I made us yummy strawberries smoothies. We had a very relaxing quality time together and did some Q&A’s for DH’s today’s ranking presentation (he applied for the Assistant Professor position) fingers crossed he will get it! :D he deserve it so much! His nick name is Dr. Research!...from all the researching and reading he does. When he got his PhD we used to joke that he is my private Dr. doctor  ....the fact that he is a Dr. Philosophy is irrelevant! He is my doctor! ...i remember when i through him a surprise party for getting his PhD, i made the invitations...and organised everything myself and the title I used was ‘A Doctor in Da house!’ and when i made the map of the house how to get here i marked the house and wrote ‘Dr. ..... mental institution’ is HERE! lol everybody loved it and found it hilarious! That was a huge success surprise party with 90+ guests, Dj, catering and open bar of course! I even hired a professional bartender and we named a cocktail ‘professor’ just for that night. Fun fun fun! ...my neiboughrs still hate me from the noise we made until late morning hrs! omG! what did i just remembered! :o It was a day and night to never forget that one!...

Saturday night my SIL host her famous Eurovision night! :D We either do it at our place or hers and the past 2yrs she is doing it with great success! Even though my country Cyprus didn’t win – I love that girl and the song- a purely commercial fun song- Sweden was amazing! Congrats to everyone’s country participating in the contest. Even though the contest has turned out to be a political one – voting etc – i mean, come on! Russia 2nd!!!! Are people blind! And especially, deaf!! Whatever man! Bottom line i love Eurovision song contest nights! :D ...a great excuse for a get together with friends and ...to eat Mexican! :P :P :P My SIL ALWAYS cooks amazing Mexican dishes on Eurovision s contest night. why? No reason why! We just LOVE Mexican food and we have dedicated a night to them! :D

Today I had my P90x morning session with cardio, went at the care home, then grocery shopping, run a few errands...still running  ....and I wanted to check on you guys! :D To read about your news and be happy for you! :D Tonight am making spaghetti Bolognese :P :P  I used to cook this dish once a week and now it’s been a month since the last time I cooked it...maybe more.. we have decided to cut off the pasta (carbs) from our diet and tonight I've decided is going to be our ‘cheat’ night. I am starting to drool just by thinking of it! Yummyyyy!!!!

Baby dust and sticky vibes to us all!!

Have a great week girls!

F*ckity crap crap crap f*ckity crap

Apparently, according to the insurance, we have to have at least 45 days between retreivals. The way we are headed, we'll have retreival about 35 days after the last one. Our last retreival was May 8th - so we have to wait until June 20th or whatever.

CRAP.

Tomorrow we are going to try to see if we can get them to ease the restriction, or allow us to go ahead with the cycle and then retroactively pay for the ER.

If not, we want to delay the cycle as little as possible - so about 10 days. No idea how we'll do that. Will I need to get another period? What about the one dose of Puregon I did take? Maybe I can start taking Provera now, so that in 10 days or so, I'll get another period. I"ll talk to my doctor tomorrow about my options if the insurance doesn't come through....

CRAP!
Just another headache I didn't need.

I called my doctor and asked why he said it would be okay to do back-to-back fresh cycles. Didn't he know about the 45 day restriction? He said "yeah, there is a restriction, but they never enforce it!" Lucky me, I caught the secretary on a bad day.... crap.....

Lauren - yeah!! Very happy to hear a success story with the HCG booster shots! I was a bit confused but I know my doctor knows what he's doing!

Kynlee - so my husband gave me the shot last night.. It hurt a bit once it when in but I was fine. I got up around 5am to pee & sat on the toliet & I could of sworn I had a huge bruise or lump!! Omg my whole right cheek is sooooo sore! I made my husband check to see of there was a bruise & he said nope nothing so it's all in the muscle. So now I'm not sure if I do it on the same side tonight or switch sides? Because I won't be able to sit down with both cheeks sore..
When do you start your shots?

Afm - laying in bed this holiday Monday! We had a BBQ party on Saturday at my in-laws, we took our furbabies & our teens to the beach yesterday, then cooked out at my sisters for dinner so today I'm staying in bed all day ..Hubby went to get lunch for us. Feels good to do nothing today! Plus started all my meds & pills today so I'm letting my body relax as much as I can before this transfer on Friday!! 4 days!!
Good Luck to ALL!

Hi ladies

Anton: oh that's crap about the job. Really crap. And you put so much effort in to it.
Leora: no we didnt do so well after coming in 8th last year. But its great to get in and be represented. And you know euro vision has gone nuts when jedward are one of the quietest acts! So will you go by secretary or doc?

Gina: I'll think of those people

Christy: oh not good on af :(

Cyn: are you feeling OK?

Everyone else:see my earlier posts to yo :)

Afm: had all bloods and throat swab. Results in 7 working days. Only results I got today were urine sample and apparently I have raging urinary tract infection (I thought it was just bad bad yeast infection) and kidney infection which may Esau temperature

Oh my Gosh Ninde I can't believe how sick you are :( I really hope they can figure out what this is and get you all better soon. Sending you lots of positive energy and prayers

Leora I really hope you can get around the restriction...what a stupid rule...Grrr

Lauren don't let bleeding scare you too much. Remember my bleeding was so bad I mistook it for a period and went in for a baseline and it was just implantation/subchorionic hematoma. Just gets lots of rest these things usually resolve well.

Amanda when is your next ultrasound?

Anton I am so sorry about the University freezing the position you almost got  so unfair

AFM Terrible day today!!!! Major plumbing catastrophe!! Waste came out of my toilet and shower and with my morning sickness as bad as it is....it was awful. So I decided to take the boys to my moms so we could use the bathrooms and shower and of course as soon as I drove away from the house the AC in the car stopped working and it was...no joke 100degrees here today. Poor baby Paul was a lobster by the time we got to my moms and I was so sick to my stomach. $400 bucks later the plumbing is fixed but I will never forget how awful things can get when your plumbing goes

Leora- I sure hope they get THEIR crap together!!! It's doesn't sound strict if some get to break the rules, sounds like it's more about who you talk to.

Anna- that sounds like a crappy day with the plumbing, morning sickness, then your car breaking down with Paul in the backseat AND although you gracefully didn't mention probably crying intensively from all the heat. Talk about crappy, what crappy luck you had to go through that. Makes you appreciate those little things.

Ninde- I'm begining to worry about you with this cough. Let us know what the doctor says, could it be from all the pollin, possibly alergy-related?

Cyn- Yay only 4 days until transfer!

AFM: Currently on day 2 w/ 27 more days to go until I start bcp, tentatively starting bcp on June 25. I'm so ready to get going right now, we all know that feeling of standing deadstill when we're more then ready to move forward. And yes my hair will be grey and I'll be hoppling along by the time I actually start IVF.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand

the friggin women's clinic is closed for two days now because they are moving buildings (we knew they were moving, but seriously?!?! no one is available?!!?! They seriously do not understand how sensitive to days fertility treatments are!)

So we can't even fight it until Thursday... not worth taking 2 more doses of Puregon if I'm going to have to cancel.

So.... we are delaying 10 days. I took one dose of Puregon yesterday. I don't ovulate ever, so Dr. Ravhon said to wait 10 days and go for check up next Sunday. If everything is quiet, we can just start stims. If not, then.... I guess Provera or whatever (another 2 week delay).

it's official - we're screwed.

We have to delay our cycle 10 days.

Doc says that since I don't ovulate on my own - we should just wait 10 days and then do SnS to see what's happening. If everything is "quiet" we can start immediate. If not... well... I don't know. I assume the "if not" means either follicle is growing, or e2 is higher than we want... and that means waiting for a period (probably 2 weeks - 1 week of Provera then a week waiting for CD2 to start stims). I'm trying not to get my hopes up for starting next Friday...

He wanted me to do SnS in a week from Sunday (12 days) but I think I'll go next Thursday (9 days). If things are "not quiet", I want the weekend to start the Provera. If things are "quiet", I don't think those 3 days will make a difference.

UGH.
