Oh Katie No! :( Step away from the sticks...or at least don't buy any new ones. People are always saying how strong I am for not POAS, but I seriously think it's crazy to put yourself through such torture. I'd much rather go through the 2ww with a glimmer of hope then to POAS, and have to still wonder if it was too early. Were you able to get an answer out of the nurse? Tuesday seems sooo far away. Trust me, I've been told ever since my first full cycle that even though I only made 1 or 2 of them, that they were the best "perfect" whatever day embies going into a perfect 10 lining with a triple stripe, and look how far that got me. To be honest I don't even care anymore because it doesn't seem to really matter. Anyway I hope you are ok, and I still am holding out for another surprise BFP for you! Love ya girl!!! Oh, and so what happens to the rest of your embies?? Do you get to decide what happens to them, or are you just turning them back to the clinic, and they will donate them?
xoxoxo

[bchris[/b] Where are you on vaca? Ahhhh vacation sounds so nice right now!! I would love to be poolside or beach side with a drink in my hand right now. Delicious foods and delicious drinks!! haha I think I just zoned out thinking about it! Hope you are having a blast!

Claudia How are you mama??? Hope everything is going well. Please stop by and give us an update soon! I miss you! xoxo

Amanda You are so sweet for always following my pathetic attempts to get pregnant, I'm sure it's gotta be hard to keep cheering on someone for this long! haha thank you! I need all the cheering I can get! How are you? How's everything with the babes? Any plans on a trip to NY this summer? :)

Libby I don't know if you ever check on here anymore, but I wanted to let you know that you are always in my thoughts, and I hope you are healing. I'm here for you if you ever want to talk. xoxo

AFM Just plugging along on my Estrace 3 times a day. It's that middle one that I always almost forget, and I'll look at the clock at work and I'm like "ahhhh crap!!" haha then I have to run and take it. I'm always on the move at work so I can't really set my phone to go off or anything, but I do eventually remember to take it. So the pharmacy called yesterday to tell me that they are shipping my intralipids to my clinic on Monday!! Yay!! I also talked to the head nurse, and I will be doing them at the same time I go in for my SnS on Friday if my lining looks good. I must remember to bring a book. I'm going to be sitting there for 2 hours hooked up to an IV. The nurse didn't say anything about coming back for another round, but they put 3 refills on my prescription. Not sure what that means, but I will ask on Friday. I am excited to have a new "something" to try with this cycle, but it's really really hard to get my PMA up. I mean..come on...I'm becoming a lost cause at this point, but I'm a glutton for punishment, and I always love to route for the underdog, and would love to have a miracle story of my own. Ya never know unless you try. I'm a big believer in living in the moment so I'm just going to take this one day at a time, and hopefully I wont lose my mind.
I'm so glad I have you girls to talk to! Love you all tons! :D

Hi Ladies,

I am actually sitting at my work desk on a beautiful Saturday morning because I have my first walkathon with my teens tomorrow afternoon to raise money for Memorial Sloan-Kettering so I have TONS of work to do and I just wanted to pop in and check in!!

Franny-YAH for starting something new in the cycle and it worked for GI so I am so hopeful for you. you are not a lost cause mama!! they just need the right "cocktail" for you to get your miracle baby!!! I'm always so jealous of your FB status updates because it seems as though you are enjoying life to its fullest!! I am feeling pretty good...my sciatic in my back has been bothering me and lifting M who is now almost 25 pounds isn't helping!!! I'm already 25 weeks which is flying by and I'm not looking forward to being big and swollen in August in the NJ heat but I shouldn't be complaining!! xoxox

Katie-Stupid, EVIL sticks...hoping for the best news this week and I truly hope Ryan gets the sibling he deserves. Love you!

Thinking of everyone daily and I always check the website so I hope to hear from you all soon!!

So I checked my email after dinner and theres a message from my ivf nurse. Its flipping dated as sent SAT. MORNING, so the damned thing has been in my inbox for 2 days and I didnt know it. I'll just quote it because it doesnt make sense to me - " I stopped by the office today and have your beta results. Unfortunately it's considered negative, but stay on your meds and go for your 2nd beta on Tues. We never know what that test will show." Ummm, WTH?? If its negative why should I stay on meds? And negative usually means 5 or below, so what is she thinking? That magically it will turn into a normal beta by Tues? I dont get it. And I dont get why they want a 2nd test if the first one is "considered negative'. Chris insists that I listen so I took the crinone, but to me a negative is a negative, you know? I'll go for another b/w on Tues, but I'm only doing this so I know what the final number is. I'm sad and mad at the same time..
I'm sorry for the lack of personals, but my head is sort of spinning right now. I'll write tomorrow when my head is clear.

KEEP TAKING THE MEDS... seriously... my clinic has anything below 50 as a negative... but I've seen MANY betas rise - could be slow implantation. Don't lose hope yet - boo for an EMAIL that's so important!

Katie I'm speechless! I'm so sorry you are going through all of this. Seriously who sends someone an email like that?? And on a weekend?? It's so mean, and it's not fair. I think I'm as confused as you are. I don't know what "it's considered negative, but stay on meds" means. I'm glad Chris convinced you to keep taking them though because you really have no idea what all of this means. I wish I had answers for you, but this is totally new to me. Just know that I love you, and am here for you always! xoxoxoxo

Katie - My clinic also does that. If the first test is negative they still want to continue meds until the 2nd test. They consider negative anything lower then 5. it drives me insane. Usually they won't tell us the results of the first test till we complete the 2nd test, though if we ask they will let us know.

So Sorry for your negative. Sending you lots and lots of (((HUGS))).

So I called my clinic today, and they let me know that my intralipids came in, and will be waiting for me for Friday!
I also had spend some time over the weekend looking at their website (they have a ask the doctor message board that I nver looked at before). Well I found all this information about them starting to do a intrauterine injection of HCG to help with implantation. I wasn't told this, so I asked the nurse today if it would be part of my protocol. She said that it wasn't but I could do it if I wanted to. I don't really know much about it, but I figured why the heck not? I'll try anything. So the nurse called in a prescription for me, and I just bring the pregnyl to the office on the day of my transfer, and they will give it to me right before the transfer!
Has anyone else ever had this done? Not sure what that's going to do to my beta day. I forget how many days it stays in your system for, but since I never POAS i never worried about the trigger shot.

My clinic also just announced that they will be giving a free acupuncture treatment in their healing arts center that is attached to the clinic for everyone on the day of their ET. So I can go before or after for free!! Amazing!! They also gave me a free treatment card so now I get to go twice!! I may use the free card to get a massage during my 2ww. It will be my birthday after all!! :D

Franny- I'm getting really excited for your cycle, this is all sounding like a success to me! I havent heard of an intrauterine hcg injection, but I wonder if thats like those booster hcg injections I tried that time? I've read other places that feel that having a bit of hcg in your system already helps to push your body to aid with implantation. It sure couldnt hurt, right? yeah, it will ruin POASing, but you're too smart to bother with that anyway, lol. I wish I could stay away from those darn sticks, but for me the lure is too strong. Now that they ever tell me the right answer, but, you know I always hope... Yippee for 2 free accupunctures too! I only got that news via email because I pretty much begged for an early answer. I told her the truth that I was completely losing my mind and to please not torture me for an extra 4 days.. well that didnt work out so well either, lol. I still have to go for b/w tomorrow and then wait for the inevitable bfn call. Gah, they never get easier either. The only reason I'll bother is that the not knowing will drive me nuts and I wont get my follow up call. Boy, how I love those calls  Lets see, what did he say last time? oh, yes - "I'm so surprised that it didnt work" Ummm, yeah., me too Dr. Me too.. I will ask him why he thinks this failed and if he tells me that theres a higher power to this I may scream. I'm kidding about screaming, but he did say that to me last time. If I'm feeling really brave I may ask if we would be wasting our time to use the last of the embies or should we just sign them back to the clinic? Right now neither one of us is sure that we even want to go through this yet again. I'm just numb from this round, you know? We've had to pay for a years storage fee as part of the FET fee, so we have time to decide. I'm just not sure how I feel right now. Oh, and dont forget your book for Friday's appt or it will be a long one  - xoxo

Chris - - Yes, this wait for the 2nd beta for a negative cycle is BS. I know they do it to be absolutely sure but it drags out the misery for us patients. I'm pretty sure that most clinics consider 5 or less negative, but I wil ask her tomorrow, and for my 1st number also. So far these are the ONLY thing I'm sure of right now, lol. It should have worked so now that it didnt we need to think if it would be worth another go. I'm just so on the fence with this question. I mean, if it didnt work using the best embies of the batch, how confident could we be with trying again? Ha, yes I do realize that I've said this is the LAST time my last 3 tries.. UGH. I hear you on cycling brings up all the old cycling anxiousness like it never went away. Theres no question that this infertility battle changes us permanently is there? I pray that you get your sibling in July and can finaly put all this behind you and enjoy your family. - xoxo

Sonya - I've heard of RE's wanting a 1st beta to be over 50, but have never heard of less than 50 as their negative cutoff point. Thanks for the concern and I will keep taking the crinone.. at least until tomorrow's official phone call. So glad to hear that Brogan is doing great and growing so fast! I'll start stalking your FET as well, lol. Wishing you a BFP!

I'll write tomorrow night after I hear from the clinic, but the call i'm more interested in is the follow up call from the RE. if I'm lucky that should be within a few days. Last time it was the day after, not that anyone can tell you why a cycle didnt work, but it does make me feel a bit better to hear his opinion. Much love and luck to us all - xoxo

Katie - I hate the follow up because they never truly have an answer.. Its always well we can try this next time or try that next time.. what if there is no next time.. seems like the dr's never think of the pain that we go through and the $$ that we spend. Just lets try this next time.. UUGHHH i hate all this crap. As far as the best embies being transferrred and it not working, and what about the rest why would they work.. I have heard this time and time again. Unless and embryo is genetically tested no one truly know if it is competent or not. the best looking could still be incompetent. even if it is genetically tested, there are still things that the test do not find. Hence i transferred two genetically normal and only one took. How many do you have left? if i am remembering right didn't you have 14 to start with? there has to be one good embryo in there.

Franny - I have never heard of taking the hcg shot but what could it hurt. enjoy our acupuncture. I wish i could do acupuncture with my next cycle but i just don't have the time or the money. its $50 per session and my acupuncture lady is 45 min from my house.

Thanks Chris & Franny - I need all the good wishes I can get today. I'll likely be waiting until after dinnertime for my beta call. This 3hr time difference works against me on beta day, lol. The latest they've ever called me was 8:30ET so 5:30 their time, which seems late for a clinic, doesnt it? Trying to get to Labcorp was a nightmare this morning! The power went out for an hour, then the toilet clogged and I had to play plumber ( blech!) then Mr Ryan fell off of the couch while jumping like a crazy monkey and landed on a hard toy. He's fine, thankfully, but now has a bruise on his little cheekbone. He cried and was scared for 2 mins and it took me around 20 mins to stop shaking. This boy is fearless and sort of a daredevil, a very scary combination for me!
Wait it keeps on, the main road was closed and I had to figure out how to find the road I needed ( and I get lost constantly) I finally make it there and a student does my blood draw, and its fine, but when I get to the parking lot I feel wet on my arm and look down to see that blood is dripping all the way down to my wrist - sigh. Umm, so far not a great day. To answer Chris, I'm not sure how many embies are left. I asked via email yesterday and got the wrong answer back. You see there were 14, and they ended up thawing 9 to get the 6 they wanted to grow to blast. Of the 9 right away 3 looked like crap, so never mind them. I was told that the 4 not transfered would be re-vitrified and that makes me nervous. When I asked she told me that we had 5 left ( the ones that were never thawed at all) So either my nurse never bothered to call the lab or none made it back to being re- frozen. I'm pretty sure that she just looked in my chart and didnt call the lab - but crap, what if she did? I'll make sure I get a definite answer to that when she calls. Sorry to ramble on, my nerves are getting the better of me. I'll post as soon as they call. Much love and luck to us all - xoxo

Hey ladies,

Katie sorry girl i am not around much to give you much needed support i find it so hard to get to a computer these days but you are always in my thoughts and i have been waiting all week to hear of your news, i am so sorry its not working out again damn ivf is bloody hard cant imagine how you have done 11 but i am sure Ryan is just proof of the pudding. Hope he isnt bruised too much from his fall but i think Kayla would give him a run for his money for been a dare devil she is just a little monkey always up to something tomboy one minute flying round on her trike thingy and girly next pushing her "baby" in its buggy. She never stops talking a lot of it jibberish but starting to say sentances like today i was shocked when she saw a van outside the window then asked "wheres van gone mama??" or when i am cooking "what are you doing?" when the hell did she start talking so clearly    any way enough of my yapping and big (((((hugs and kissess))))) to you xxx

Sonya great to hear from you, cant believe your little lad is 11 mths old already!!! How great it is to see you back doine fet i have to admit i always loved your poas pics!!

Chris i know its a pain in the a$$ having to do ivf again but you are one tough lady and i know you wont give up till you get a sibling, not long now till transfer!!

Claud 25 weeks already???? Just wondering since this was a "miracle" baby do you need to use contracption in future   how funny would that be after 3 ivfs to get your 1st baby!!

AFM no news i am off work for 9 days as my Whole family are on hols in Lanzorete and i have nobody to mind Kayla while i work but as its bank hol wkend here and i can swap days with a girl it only adds up to 2 of my hols, so Kayla and I are spending a Lot of time together!! She still naps from about 12pm to 3pm most days so i do get a lot of time to myself to do a workout, cook etc. Looks like i am the last on this site to do a FET roll on September!!! I am gonna get my parents to mind Kayla for 3 days if i make transfer so i can literally do couch/bed rest and give it everything i have got cause this is my last shot

gixx
7th IVF finally our precious miracle girl Kayla born 24/11/10, 8th IVF FET Sept 2012 BFP!!!
Its TRIPLETS!!!!
