Christy - I used to live ONE BLOCK from the Empire State Bldg in NYC and only went into the basement (because there was a Walgreens there). I never ever went upstairs! I lived in NYC and never went to the Statue of Liberty (never even saw it in person!) and hated anytime I had to fight the crowds in Times Square --- I only went to places like Central Park or the Met when I had out of town guests :D

As for the beach - I grew up in Pittsburgh - 8 hours from any beach! :D Now, I live less than an hour from the beach. But Jerusalem is such a different vibe and climate than Tel Aviv -- people are always surprised that we'll drive "all the way out there " just to go the beach - but I love it! BTW - neither of our dogs like the water -- they hate it and won't go in!

I just heard from Rosie - her second beta (two days later) didn't rise at all. So either a chemical pregnancy or ectopic.

I feel really guilty about being jealous - and I'm so heartbroken for her. I've been in that place -- thinking that your problems are going to be pre-term labor, but then an early miscarriage catches you totally off-guard.

Thinking about all of you!! I'm so behind I can't get caught up to post personals but I've read all the updates! Our laptops we bought just under a year ago, all get hot and shut off after 25 minutes. All three are still under warranty, but they can't ship them back to us from the states. So our PX on base sent them near by and they say they are all so dirty they cut off. We don't believe that one bit and neither does the manager where we shop. They (Toshiba) wants us to pay 90 Euro which is about 120 (give or take) for us. No way esp if it doesn't work. So our manager at the store where we go is going to see if the Toshiba representative that comes from time to time, will cover the cost and test it out. If it works, great but doubt it. So hopefully we all the get a card for credit and get new ones.

Been so much drama in my family and the way I am treated, I'm so hurt. That's okay though, I'll have my hubby, son and my parents! My Nephew's surgery on his nose went well yesterday! The Doctor decided not to break the nose but just cleaned it out. He called it a Fungus Tumor and said it was quite common. Hopefully that solves the problem perm! Dh's Sinus's are better than ever after he was put on Allegra. He hasn't sneezed or had to blow his nose much at all in the two weeks he's been on it! He hasn't been waking up unable to breath now, which is awesome! He had to stop the medication yesterday since he'll see an Allergist in several days and they wanted him off of them. I guess they stick him a lot to try and pin point it. My son had one small nose bleed since they burned the blood vessels (didn't hurt him a bit and the Dr was great) but they say that can be common because of scabbing. Nothing has happened since then so hopefully it won't!

Wow we have a lot of nose issues LOL

Hopethisworks - I'm so sorry for the loss of your one baby. Prayers & Big hugs to you & your husband!

Kynlee - gosh I totally understand when you want AF to get here & it doesn't.. & you have pills too! Mine was 10days late but on my IVF cycle when I didn't want it to come it was 7 days early! Ughhhh!! Hope it comes soon!!

Gina - so glad the surgery was done & now he can heal & move on from this!! Glad also DH is doing better.. It's so hard to convince your DH's to get help.. My Husband was wheezing all night & morning then finally I was like are you finally going to get looked at?? I made the appointment & for the last 8months he said he's never felt so good! He now has an inhaler & meds!! I'm like ya because you can finally breath!! Lol

Leora - I like the one where it said I was going to pee it out! I always pee soo much after the transfer I'm like there it went! Lol
Sorry about your friend sending lots of prayers!! Btw - I like this dress better sooo pretty & cut well to show just enought!

Sunshine - loved reading your post! For being in bedrest it felt like I traveled with you through that whole week!!

Nichole - that's amazing how focused you are & lost or losing the weight! Congrats

Afm - bedrest hasn't been too bad!! I get alot of work done with no distractions (since I'm home in my room) hubby makes my breakfast, lunch & dinner ! I just tell him what I want & it's made or bought if he doesn't know how! We have a two story house so I haven't been downstairs since the transfer so no dishes or laundry! My boys are taking care of me so I'm not minding the 9days in bed!! Shhhh don't tell them!

I haven't been feeling much just tired! I take naps which I don't think I did last time & still super tired by 11pm (my usual time I go to bed) yesterday I did feel a bit nauseous & had a bad headache So I took a nap woke up so hot! I yelled for my husband to turn on the air (which it was on & his hands were cold) he's like let's take your temperature it was 99.7 so about a point higher but he said I was burning up! I slept off & on yesterday then had a scary dream last night that I went to the restroom & saw blood! First dream I ever had like that... Thankfully it was just a dream!
Still have this headache & my left butt cheek feels like its double it's size! Hurts sooo much! I told me DH you didn't hit a nerve or anything right ?? Hahahah who knows but it hurts to even lay on my back or if anything rubs it!

Is it almost Monday June 11th??!!??
Good Luck to ALL!

Not sHi ladies

Dys24, nice to meet you. Do post before your transfer, it would be good to get to know you and im sure you could be a huge support to everyone here with your experience

Christy; oh I know, the stats are awful. 14,000 miscarriages happened in ireland last year, huge numbers and huge pain. Ok, im tired just reading about your week, you must be exhausted!!! Fantastic photo by the way.

Amanda: how are you?

Lauren: how are you?

Leora: I teach counselling and psychotherapy as well as practising it so i was marking end of year exams. Red dress is also lovely. With your colouring either will be lovely :D Not sure I agree with you that m/c and ivf sucks more. Honestly, I think its all crap. I know we have all the technical intervention but the loss is so rough on us all. Oh poor rosie, that's just awful, what a hell of a rollercoaster.

Kynlee: how are you feeling?

Gina: what's happening in your family?

Cyn; lol, you poor thing. Nearly monday yes!!!

Nicole: how are you?

Lyd: how are things with you?

Afm: bloods back, all fine - except from my throat!! Im getting 2 good days, 2 bad. Doc on hold now so I'll give it another week, then I'll have to get it scooped or something if its not right. Have I mentioned dh and I are going to sicily for a week on sunday? :-)

I wanted to share this poem with you - its called "beannacht" which is the Irish for blessing. By a poet called jphn o'donoghue

On tne day when the weight deadens on your shoulders
And you stumble, may the clay dance to balance you

And when your eyes freeze behind the grey window
and the ghost of loss gets into you
May a flock of colours, indigo, red, green and azure blue
Come to awaken in you a meadow of delight

When the canvas frays in the curach of thought
sand a stain of ocean blackens beneath you
May there come across the waters
a path of yellow moonlight to bring you safely home

May the nourishment of the earth bee yours
May the clarity of light be yours
May the fluency of the ocean be yours
May the protection of the ancestors be yours

And so may a slow
wind work these words
Of love around you
An invisible cloak
To mind your life

This blessing I wish for all of you

Love and light

Hope- I'm so sorry for the loss of your little twin.

Leora- The dress is lovely. I looked at that company when I was shopping wedding dresses. Be very careful with them. Get on their online chat and ask for a picture of the real dress. They take pictures like the one you showed and then have the seamstress try to copy the dress. It doesn't always look the same. We had some people on the news here that ordered prom dresses that way (through an internet company in China that custom creates to measurements) and they were a disaster. I'm not saying don't do it, I'm just suggesting to see what the final product will actually look like and be weary if they can't show you. I'm sorry to hear about Rosie. I'll be thinking of her.

Patricia- I'm ok. I had the worst migraine in 10 years yesterday. I felt weird when I woke up and stayed home from work. I had an afternoon meeting that I had to go to downtown. I went out and about for a bit then headed down. I started to get the headache but had 2 hours before I could leave and no meds. I got a Coke at McDonalds to help push me through which sometimes helps (the caffeine is what helps). Thank goodness I got that large drink because I needed the cup. Traffic was hectic and it took me over an hour to drive home. The migraine got so bad on the drive that I ended up vomiting in my car. The pain was so bad by the time I got home that I was crying and miserable. Two vicodin, 4 advil, and 2 hours later I felt somewhat normal again. Ahhhh! It was so bad.

You asked about my diet, so here it is in a nutshell. My trainer suggested 1200 calories per day with 120 grams of protein. I don't remember the carb recommendation but never paid attention to it anyway. I focus more on calories and protein. I eat a lot of fruit, mostly cut out sugary drinks, and think before I eat. I don't eliminate any particular foods. I just account for it. I use myfitnesspal.com to track my foods and exercise. I work out at least 4 days per week using cardio like running or elliptical and whole body exercises like squats, jumps and make sure to go high intensity. I also use the dry sauna after working out.

Always- Good to see you again.

Christy- Your time at the beach and with the girls sounds delightful. I love antique shops and beaches! It's too cold here to enjoy the water, but I still like to go to the beach to walk around and look for wildlife.

AFM- Super bad migraine (see above) and am recovering today. I've had some cardiac issues lately too. I have problems with my heart rate being irregular and slow. I have a cardiology appt for the 25th. Only a couple of more weeks till school is out and I can't wait. I'm trying to talk myself into working out tonight. I'm tired and don't want to, but should.

We are ok with the loss and are staying sting and positive for the other baby that is thriving. I'll do my best to get to personals this weekend :)

Ninde- My Niece has turned against me. We've done so much and only asked for her love and time, she's given none of that. She uses everyone around her, only they don't see it. My Mom finally figured it out. This started 5-6yrs ago but has gotten worse. Now I have three cousins doing the same to me. My cousins actually haven't done anything with me in 10 yrs so it isn't much different. My niece blocked me online and said she knows me and my Mom talk.......Well of course! Not about anything bad either. Ugh. Then her husband of 3 weeks emailed me to never say anything about their daughter (will be born late July) and I have never talked bad about the baby at all. I can't talk about her (Would only be nice anyway) because no one will talk to me. So horrible! A lot of horrible things were said to me. So now we'll be moving back to that. Kinda glad we'll probably miss Thanksgiving because we were going to surprise them that day if we could.....now it wouldn't be pretty.

I really don't know what to do any more. I've let it go for so long hoping she would finally treat me right, she will for a little while then stop. I can no longer trust her either. It's really sad. Like my parents and Dh say. They are young and immature and think everything is wonderful in their little world. They can't even afford to use the laundry mat. They are in for a rude awakening in a couple of months!

My Mom said she will be all over me once I am back, but again that's using me. I deserve to be treated better than that. Enough is enough. Just because I'm in Germany doesn't mean I should be treated this way. It's hard not having family my age talk to me. :(

Gina - I'm so sorry about family drama.

Kynlee - what pills are you taking? BCP? I usually got a period on day 4 after stopping, but sometimes a little longer (after at least 2 weeks of BCP - never did less than that)

Cyn - For my first transfer, I was told to fill my bladder before I got to the hospital, but then we waited almost an hour for the transfer! My old clinic made me do 30min of bed rest after transfer -- I had to pee so badly I told the doctor that I didn't care if it made the embryos fall out, I was going to pee! In the end, I got pregnant with both embryos we transferred - so from personal experience, I KNOW you can't pee them out :D It's almost Monday the 11th -- I know because I'm counting down to Sunday the 10th!

Lydia - 3rd trimester! Woohoo! You know that "Leora" is a really nice Hebrew girl's name, right?

Patricia - a loss is a loss, but I always feel like those of us who do IVF have already suffered enough. I have a friend who had a full term still birth, and then 3 more kids - all within 5 years (ie, she is always getting pregnant!) and I think that's easier than the last 4 years I've been through with the non-stop IVF.... but whatever. Do you like teaching? Is it a part of your job, or you have more than one job?

Nicole - thanks for the heads up. At this point, I'm so sick of dress shopping that I don't care :D but I'll look into it more. - I'm just curious, does work know about the MS? Do you get special consideration because of it? -- also, what's a dry suana? My gym has a sauna, but the sauna + my asthama = bad bad bad :D --- wow, I hope everything is okay with your heart. I have serious palpitations when pregnant (ended up in hospital a few times) and it's super scary!

HopeThisWorks - I'm glad you are feeling okay and positive about the baby who is thriving - but just know that the 'vanishing twin' may affect you emotionally, and maybe even suddenly. Just konw that that's all normal. I really recommend the website of the Center for Loss in Multiple Birth. They ahve lots of good stories and advice.

AFM - just waiting until Sunday!

I picked up the Rx for the Provera -- not sure if I'm cursing myself that I'll need it, or "Murphy's Law" means now it'll be unnecesary! :D

In any case, I'll bring both the Provera and the Puregon to work on Sunday, so that whatever the answer is, I can start on Sunday.

We have fun plans for the weekend (a big community yard sale and a hike on Friday and then my ILs on Saturday) so hopefully I'll be busy and distracted!

Hi Leora - our friends' daughter's name is Leora :) It is beautiful, indeed :) Your weekend plans sound like fun! keeping my fingers crossed you hear good news on sunday and can get going again ASAP.
it is still so weird to me that your week starts on Sunday - what about all the sunday night shows like Iron Chef and Food Network Star? :) I guess it is a good way to finish off the first day of work :)

Ninde- Glad your BW came back good, sucks that you are still sick though... I hope things get better soon, nothing worse then feeling sick with a sore throat... :( I am still sick too but on medication so I am feeling much better... Hi Girls,

Hope—Glad you are doing well and staying positive!

Dys—They say things happen in 3s!

Leora- You are so lucky you never had to take Lupron! I really feel that is why my cycle sucked so badly last time; I felt that I was over-suppressed. My only good cycles were Lupron free. It really gave me horrible headaches, too! I wonder why you can’t mix the sperm?

Lauren – Good luck at your ultrasound, I saw that Leora posted it could be today?

Blueeyed – What does Lupron do for endo? Keep it under wraps?

Knylee- I was on medroxyprogesteron after my hysteroscopy. It took awhile for mine to come after stopping it, like 7-10 days. But I was also on hormone replacement therapy directly prior. When are you done taking it? I read online people can get their period earlier than I did though.

Ninde- Ya, the nurse was kinda taken back by everything, since a DE cycle was planned, but I just explained we needed closure and she I think understands. We pay big bucks for all this stuff!! Hopefully we will get everything in order tonight night at my app. My transfer should be around 7/7. Glad all your lab work came back normal!

Cyn- I don’t know if I do bed rest as long as you. I think I would be going crazy! How is your butt cheek feeling, any better? LOL… don’t you just love the stuff we type up to post here :) . Sticky dust to you!

Sunshine – Good luck with the loan stuff, I feel so much better when all that stuff is in order, it is one less thing to worry about. So you are doing the Attain? Do you get a certain number of cycles? Also, the girls look like they are having a blast in the pic!

Sorry if I missed anyone!

Madamex- Thanks for the info... I actually take last pill tomorrow... I keep getting mixed reveiws when reading up on it, so I figured who better then to ask my girls on this board.. I am hoping I get A/F with in a few days so that I have the perfect schedule for my FET, if it goes to 10 days it ends at month end for FET and my boss will give me issues with taking days off... :( So my fingers are crossed :) I dont even know why they put me on this pill when I get a regular period, I dont know if it was cause my cycle was cancelled and I was on estrace so they needed me on this other pill to help my body along...
