Felicia - your birth story brought tears to my eyes. So touching. Samuel is absolutely gorgeous and has such lovely chubby cheeks for a newborn. :D

Ker - love the belly pic. I'm hanging out to have a baby belly.

Tuffy - hope you're doing well at home with your wee bubbies. I imagine you're pretty flat out.

AFM - had routine 12 wk ultrasound yesterday. Measurements all normal. Still waiting for my blood results to be combined with the ultrasound risk re Down's. My ultrasound risk was 1:200. The norm for my age is 1:40. 1:200 is still high risk but hopefully the blood results will lower the risk. I really don't want to have to worry about amnio if I can help it. DH and I almost pooped our pants when the sonographer said she was just popping out to the room to discuss my results. She was very young and I suspect she had to have my obs look over them before giving the okay. They weren't specifically looking for Meckel-Gruber at this scan as it is still a bit early to notice any significant abnormalities. So four weeks till my next scan. My obs will be in the room looking for the MGS markers - hydrocephalus or encephalocele, polydactyl, and grossly enlarged kidneys. I'm scared but also just wanting to find out whether our little baby is going to be MG free. I'm so hoping I can get to the stage where I can relax a little and enjoy this pregnancy.

Anyway lovely ladies who's next up with the birth story :0)

kbillsy: Look at you go! You are cruising right along with those babies. I bet you are getting excited. What is the usual gestation time for triplets? Answer to your question: They do ultrasounds on me every week.

Kat: It sounds like you had a wild ride to the hospital - kinda like they show in the movies.

Felicia: Little Samuel is so stinking cute! Such cute cheeks and nose!

Maria: You look fantastic. Now that the construction is done, you get to put together the nursery... That is so much fun!

Jen: I'm glad to see you post... I was wondering how you were doing. NST twice per week does seem like a lot, but, like you said, you do what they tell ya to do. Since you have a big baby, I'd go light on buying newborn sized clothes. We have had some given to us by a friend and now I'm wondering if our baby will even fit in them at all.

Amy: Nice belly shot! I've got to get around to posting mine eventually. I don't know if you've said before, but are you having boys or girls or both?

Tess: Congrats on your first scan. The result sounds really positive... Any time that you decrease your age related risk, that means good things. I'll be hoping for equally good news for your next scan.

AFM: I'm still cooking... They measured the baby today. He's 5lbs 7oz at 32 weeks which is >97the percentile. Basically, a very huge baby. The amniotic fluid dropped into the normal range so we're happy about that. Both the specialist and my OB feel that both baby and I are doing well. My sugar, protein, blood pressure, and weight gain are all ideal so they are just watching me closely. I see the specialist once per week and the OB once per two weeks so I feel like I'm in good hands. Our big worry is preterm labor but so far, we're doing good. The plan right now is to allow me to go to term as long as the baby and I stay healthy. I'm also allowed to try for a vaginal birth as long as the baby stays head down and under 10lbs. My back and hips are killing me but I'm carrying a full term sized infant so that's to be expected.

Quick update-we had our monthly growth scan on Thursday. Baby A-Anna Christina is weighing 1 pound/15 ounces and Baby B-Katerinna Maria is weighing 1 pound/12 ounces I also had my one hour glucose tolerance test and failed it by 8 points I go back on Monday for the three hour glucose tolerance test. Not too thrilled about this but I'll do anything for these little ones.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. Sending you all xoxo...

Love,

Maria: There's a good chance that you'll pass the 3 hour test; most people who fail the 1 hour do. Do yourself a favor and take something like a granola bar in your purse to eat after your last blood draw. Every time that I've taken the 3 hour, I've needed to eat immediately after the test because I was too light-headed to drive.

HappyBunny-Thank you for the advise. I will take a snack with me this morning. I pray I pass the test and that I don't get too sick from it today. How are you doing?

Maria - did you pass?

I flunked my 1 hour too. Apparently my sugar level wasn't overly high (+14) and I totally spaced and had a bowl of frosted mini wheats for breakfast prior to the test. So I'm cautiously optimistic that I'll pass the 3 hour test too. It's tomorrow.

Barb, I'm following your advice and taking a snack tomorrow. Babies are boy/girl. Bruce Mitchell and Audrey Catriona. My bff delivered a nearly 10 pound son vaginally, so it can be done! Hang in there, maybe get a prenatal massage for your pain.

Love and well wishes to everyone else.

Kerpupples-use, thank God I passed with flying colors. If you were only over by 14 points on the one hour, you should be ok with the 3 hour. My nurse gave me a good idea, I took a Zofran sublingual the morning of the 3 hour test. I was so afraid of being nauseous because of being without eating foe so many hours. It worked, I didn't feel nauseous. Good luck tomorrow. I'll say a prayer for you.

Hey everyone, just wanted to check in and let you all know I am still reading all your posts. Sounds like everyone is doing well although it seems as though so many of us failed our 1 hour glucose tests (me included). The boys and I are doing well, but life it really busy. My youngest daughter has decided to not be potty trained anymore so we are dealing with that. It's not fun. I'm trying not to take the boys out of the house until they get their first shots at two months so I've been a little house bound. My mom is here to help right now which has been really fun. I look forward to hearing more from all of you! Enjoy your gestating (amazingly I miss being pregnant just a little bit)!

Hey ladies - I only have a few minutes but I wanted to send a quick update!

Maria - looks like a wonderful shower! Glad to hear it sounds like you received most of what you need! How are you feeling?

Been feeling tired and uncomfortable - lots of movements these days! I've got a head in my left ribs, a butt in my right ribs and two heads down right near my cervix! We had dr appt this morning - babies are doing great - 3lb 5oz, 3lb 6oz, and 4lb 7oz! I can't believe there is over 11lbs of baby in there  Not much more to report from there except that dr prepped me that they could come 'anytime' now and that they will schedule c-section for 36-37 weeks if they don't come before then so I'm down to my last 4-5 weeks at most!! I go back again next week for another appt with dr.

We went to a multiples class on Sat - was somewhat useful although much of what we learned I had already read in books. It was nice to meet several other couples expecting multiples - one other couple is expecting triplets and will be delivering in the same hospital probably within a week or two of us so we will likely see each other again.

My sister is about to have a baby in the next day or two (crazy summer for our family) so I'm heading up to spend the next few days with her and my new niece - hopefully my babies don't get any crazy ideas while I'm out of town!

kbillsy - you don't sound comfortable at all! I remember the head in the ribs feeling. Not so much fun. Very glad you are in the home stretch! Enjoy visiting your new niece.

Maria - that's quite a shower! Very posh indeed, almost like a wedding. Happy you got what you needed. Thanks for the advice on the Zofran - I haven't had issues with nausea in quite some time, though I did end up getting fairly lightheaded.

I'm thrilled to say that I passed my 3 hour test! One more hurdle I can leave behind. I think we are finally settled on names after a small change. They will be Bruce Mitchell and Audrey Helena. DH grew up in Helena, MT and has fond memories there and I like the name too. It's been HOT here and I've had some trouble coping with the heat. I may talk to my doctor about asking for me to work from home at my 28 week appointment. There's absolutely no reason why I can't.

Hi ladies it has been a while since I posted but I am here :) I am soooo tired taking care of a 10 month old while preggo although very very grateful. Its hard...I keep straining my back (3 times already) and then I am out of commission for a few days and having to get up and take care of Paul while my back is out is sooooo painful. Otherwise we are moving right along. I am starting to feel the baby move a little now but of course its very light. I always feel movement by 14-15 weeks so that is exciting but on the other hand still having a little trouble with the doppler.

Bunny how are you and your big boy

Kbilly wow I cannot believe you are in the 30's with 3 babies how amazing!!!

Tess how are you holding up?

Maria your baby shower looks beautiful? did you get everything you wanted?

Belly pic. These girls are just pushing their way forward. My OB says I'm measuring 40 cm which is equal to full term with one baby. Ouch!!! No wonder I'm feeling so absolutely exhausted. But I wouldn't trade it for the world.
