Leora- Glad you have a plan but I'm hoping you can't go because you'll be pregnant! :) So glad your insurance came through! Whoohooo! We are still waiting to hear if we can just get our money back now on all three. They won't clean them for free and if we do, we don't get the money back. I think they are trying to find an excuse!

Hello all!!
I now have less that 24hrs to find out what's going on! These are my symptoms going on: Tired yes! Moody yes! Emotional yes! Headache off & on. Hot flashes!! No spotting (so thankful - because I bleed on my 8dt last cycle) so today I'm on day 9 & started some high cramps like around my belly button. Has anyone had these cramps? My back in hurting me (usually doesn't hurt during AF but did when I was prego with my son 15yrs ago) I won't test until tomorrow. I was so emotional yesterday with my DH! Saying he dose'nt understand what I'm going through if it doesn't work I'm going to be a mess ... & all he says is "we will then try again until it works" I'm like No it has to work now.. Why not now?? Ughhh I was a mess!!! Going to hang around the house today I went to my sisters for a promotion party for my neice yesterday. (going to high school now) so I think today I should just take it easy, let these cramps pass & go from there!!!
Good Luck to ALL!

Hi ladies and greetings from beautiful sicily :D

Antonia: happy birthday :D I hope this is a great year for you x

Nicole: you poor thing :( that's rotten. How did it happen?

Maria: really sorry about the glucose test :( is the three hour rough?

Christy: thanks for the reminder about antonia's birthday. How are you doing?

Leora: im really wishing you lots of luck on this cycle.

Anna: that's wonderful you can announce. I hope the concert goes well. I do work in lots of places that's true, but I love working as a psychotherapist

Cyn: you are right to take it easy. I have everything crossed for you x

Afm: arrived to sicily at 12,30. Got the bus to our pensione which is an hour away and its just beautiful. There is a lovely little reading room and a salon and small bar and our room is a nice size with a terrace and a sea view. There is a small outdoor pool so I swam for half an hour with the swallows dipping their wings in as they flew and then sat in the shade in the garden reading for a bit. Then I napped and we went to dinner. I love Italy, I've been all around it but never this far down. The Italian are so wonderful with their big gestures and love of life. Hesre's to a good day tomorrow

So bonnenktte :-)

Leora-I got lucky with my placement. I'm in a middle school inclusion setting which allows me to have more control over my own schedule. I set up the kids service schedule. I am very grateful to have it that way. Plus, it is a school schedule so we have a lot of days off. I have a 180 day contract.

As for the MS, I think I have always had it. The fatigue has always been a problem as far back as I can remember. My symptoms got bad when I was 22. My doctor went the wrong direction with my symptoms and I was treated for other stuff which is actually pretty common for those with MS. I ended up having bad symptoms in Jan 2008 after catching a huge cold/flu bug. The ironic part is that the day prior to getting sick, I had a picture of my aura taken. The reader made a comment about me being sick and showed me the image. I ended up in the hospital for a week and then that started the official diagnosis process which took about 3 months. My official diagnosis came on my 31st birthday. I've been living with MS officially for 4 years. It was quite devastating especially because my mother has it and has become pretty disabled. It's hard to deal with that and with the uncertainty that comes with the diagnosis. Each day is a mystery. I could or could not end up with significant disability.

Insurance covers most of my medication needs, but that is not a given. I have good coverage now. Prior to it, my co-pay was $250 per month for the particular drug I was on. Prior to that my co-pay was like a regular RX co-pay of around $30 per month. It really depends on which drug I'm on, if it is injectable or IV. I lose a lot if I need IV steroids because I can't work during that time. I haven't used the steroids in 1.5 years and am hopeful to stay off of them. I could have used them but chose not to due to side effects.

As for the lumbar strain- I was doing body weight squats (no bar) and added 8 lbs dumb bells to add bicep curls onto it. I squatted down and felt a snap, instant pain. I'm not sure if I got a muscle tear, popped a ligament, or what. It's much better today. I was able to very slowly walk my dog around the block and we went out shopping. I have cut back on the meds today and decided I won't need a cane to get around at work tomorrow. I can put pressure on my legs now. Getting up and down is a chore and certain positions are quite painful. This is a huge setback for me because I can't workout, run, etc until it heals. I can do some upper body stuff, but have to be careful for what pressure I put on my back. There isn't much to do that doesn't put some sort of pressure on the lower back.

We are still on target for IVF this summer. We are asking our insurance to do an account review and determine how much we have left in benefits. I've been setting some money aside because we will not have coverage for all of it this time around. Our clinic charges around $11,000 for a fresh cycle not counting meds. I want to lose another 15 lbs by then. Injuries certainly don't help.

The thunderstorms this weekend have been awful nearing 10 inches of rain and did I mention I work only half a mile from the gulf? I was on the phone last night finding out our emergency procedures in case the power went out and I had the flashlights ready. Our last hurricane was 2005 so I've been very fortunate since we moved down here in 2009. So much rain and apparently I'm too lazy when it comes to having my windshield wipers changed out! That's something I'll have to add to my "Honey-Do" list...speaking of that I only have 4 days till his parents traveling from Alabama get here, yikes!

Ninde- Your first day in Sicily sounds wonderful. R&R with the view of the sea on your terrance WOW! I can picture you right there soaking away with not a worry, just loving life! How was dinner?

Annashope- Awww I'm glad you made the announcement, that must of been fun! Now we wait for the gender revealing and find out if Paul is having a brother or sister. :D As for our IVF Refund Attain Program, we bring home a baby or get 70% of our money back. I would love to have twins so we wouldn't have to go through this again but yes it is 6 cycles for one healthy full-term pregnancy. Goodness I haven't even really thought about a sibbling yet, knowing that we would owe 32 grand and want to try for another would be very tough. Our child would be 7 once everything was paid off, so I'm not really sure we could afford another? Maybe we would have some embryos frozen and could do a FET for the sibbling? But we cannot look that far ahead right now.

Leora- So our yard sale was cancelled due to the rain. I hope everything works out with the dress, I cannot wait to see pix!

Nicole- I'm glad you are right on track, maybe we'll be cycling together in July? I cannot believe how fast time is flying by, but working 40 hrs a week certainly helps..

AFM: Sorry to cut my personals short, I just had drama with a ridiculous phone call from a coworker so I must go chill for a bit...Anyway tomorrow dh and I are going to the bank to compare interest rates.

Alright Kynlee you are next! Yay for getting back on the FET band wagon! :D

Quick update before I head out to run more errands and pick up dh from work. This morning dh and I went to the bank and found out we couldn't take out a signature loan for 32 grand, that amount is just to high. But we started playing with numbers and found out the credit union could help us save money with his auto loan cutting his payment in half, PLUS we are refinancing the mortage to save us ultimately 100,000 in interest seriously we found out the CU is offering 3% mortgage (ours is currently 6.25) so this will not only cut our payment in half we could have the mortgage paid off in 15 years. But of course I was wondering but what about the IVF loan? So we sent in our W2's to the Patient financial company we are dealing with and found out we could only get approved for 24,000. When we asked why they told us it's due to our debt-to-income ratio. So dh brainstormed and told me we can get the truck paid off and the mortgage refinanced and reapply for the loan in August. (must wait 30 days before reapplying) I didn't get upset about it, instead I thought about the signature loan we were going to use to pay off dh's truck and ironically this is exactly 8,000 they are willing to loan us this morning through the CU. Meaning we can still go through the Patient Financial Group and use the signature loan from the CU to scrape together our IVF funds. Tomorrow dh meets with a Mortage Officer to see if it would be more wise to refi and borrow the money against our house. I know the mortgage would beat the 11 percent interest (hence our mortgage will be 3%) but dh is nervous about doing that since we COULD be relocating in a year from now if he gets some job offer at another college. He's not sure we have enough equity to do that but we will see. Glad we are finding options-- most of all I cannot believe IVF is right around the corner, only 2 weeks away until it finally all begins! :D

They had me wait almost the whole day for a BFN .. just terribly upset and feeling like a failure. 4 "amazing cycles" & not 1 to even implant. The Doctor has some suggestions I told him to put them together and email me. Didn't want to even hear his voice another minute.. (lol... like it was his fault) we still have 4 "amazing" frozen babies left but with a failed body to put them in.. I told my DH can we just stick them in someone else & i think they will make it work before us! Feeling down but really what can I do? Cry.. Drink my head off or get up and keep on moving! Going to a major run tonight then maybe wine and a bath!

Thanks for all your well wishes and support! Good Luck to you all.
Good Luck to ALL!

Cyn- I am so sorry!! You are still thinking positive so that is a good thing! And like you said you still have 4 great embies. I know how you feel. If this cycle fails for me it will be my 4th as well. I didn't even transfer with my last IVF so I can understand the whole "my body has failed me thing." Maybe your doctor has some testing options they can run on you. It is good you are going out for a run, I don't think I would even be able to do that! Try to enjoy your wine and bath.
