Just a quick question as I am sure it was you who had this. You spent some of your 2ww in hospital with pains didn't you?? What were the pains like and what did they say it was??
I have been in terrible pain since ET. Like a knife in my back just round the back of the ribs and cramps in my stomach really high up below my breasts.
Sorry if I have got you mixed up with someone else but Traci and I both thought it was you.
Please let me know if it was you and what happened.

Dagny - sorry to crash the thread - hope Gem puts your mind at ease - I still am sure that it is because of your ovaries - wasn't sure if Gem had a virus - it you are still worried search her threads for a time around her EC - you should be able to work out as she is now 14 weeks I think

Hi Dagny
sorry I have just seen your post
Yes it was me the week after ec I was in agony it was on my right side really low down near my pelvis groin area I wasnt sleeping and couldnt get comfy even lying down only pressure on the area eased it for a bit when I went to Jessops on the tues tehy scanned me and saw that my ovaries were enlarged tehy took my bloods and aske dif I wanted to stay in but the pain was manageable so I went home with some tablets but that night was the worse the pain was I didnt sleep at all just sat on sofa all nigh putting pressure on the pain tehn I started to be sick so in the morning after I was sick I phoned clinic were they wanted me to come in straight away so I phone dh and he came home from work to take me through I havent felt pain like it before and usually I'm qiute good at taking pain as dh said I'm not morgy any way to cut a long story short My bloods were back which showed I had an infection and they scanned me again and my ovaries esp my right were enlarged so I had an infection in my right ovary I was given anti-sickness injection and strong tablets I was told they would have to admit me to get some antibotics in a vein in my hand and to be honest I was relieved to get admitted as the pain was that bad but luckly after they gave me some petadine I was able to cope and be admitted to the hosp next door I really thought that was it and it had failed again the dr's were wonderfully and the dr from the acu came and saw me and kept saying good luck for test day which was on teh 27th I was admitted on 21st but dh said he thinks now she must have known it had worked by the way she winked and said good luck but I dont know I really thought it had failed as I couldnt believe the embryos couldnt have stayed when I 'd been in so much pain but it just goes to show tehy are strong and maybe i got the infection cos it had worked-who knows but if you are really worried speak to your clinic and they will scan you to keep a eye on your ovaries as you were really close to getting ohss.sorry if I have gone on abit once I get writing a story I cant stop, but hope you have mad some sense of it.
I wish you from the bottom of my heart you get the big fat positive you and your dh deserve.

Tracey Yes I'm seeing midwife tomorrow where hopefully she will be able to here the heartbeat,I'm 15 weeks today cant believe it cant wait for my 20wk scan.
Thanks for your reply. I don't think I have got the same as you as my pain is in a very different place and I have had a scan and my ovaries although enlarged are not the cause. I think it may be the worst case of wind in the world. It comes and goes and it makes me writhe around in pain.
They will be keeping an eye on me though and I just hope my embies are strong and embedded regardless to what was happening to me. It's day 3 and I am driving myself insane already. I said to my DH what if I tested soon and he just said "Don't come crying to me when it's not the result we want" so I put that idea to the back of my mind. I know TS when, yes when you read this you will admonish me for contemplating testing but I can't help it. The embies haven't even embedded yet and I want to test
Gem you are 15 weeks already Gosh. Hope you get to hear the heartbeat today. I heard Katelyn's for the first time just before christmas and it was wonderful!!
Hi Caz Thanks for your reply too honey.

Try and put it to the back of your mind - not easy - Gem's worked and so can yours. I know why you want to test - try and do things and keep busy - your body has been through so much - it's bound to complain!
would you like to borrow Gabbie - she will get your mind off it!

Haven't caught up with the threads on the other side yet but just wanted you to know I had pains on my left side and at my back from EC and still continue to have them and am now 11 weeks with twins. They told me it will be all the changes going on in the body but I think it may be scar tissue from previous operations. But wanted to let you know that it doesn't mean it will put those embies off imbedding. I wish you all the luck with your test (on the proper test day!)
Thinking of you

Thanks for your reply. The initial pains have all but gone now with the odd pain in the back but they have been replaced with AF cramps. I am a week down and a week to go so it's dragging a bit.
Does EVERYONE know I have considered testing early??? Nothing's a secret on here is it??
Tracey - You must pamper yourself with all your smellies before the girls arrive as you won't have time to afterwards.
Are you going to have Gabbie spayed? My Mum and Dad haven't had Pippa done and it drives my Mum round the bend and our other dog Billy gets sooooooo excited. He is always on her even when she's not on heat. Thank goodness he has been done -
It won't be long before you can fill your silver frame with a piccy of your miracle girlies. How exciting
