Cyn- I think its perfectly normal the way you're feeling. I'm so sorry for your pain. Allow yourself time to heal, go easy as you can on Dh, and Knorr that i'm praying for you.

Afm-14 weeks along and on track as far ad the last appointment went. my ob is letting us come in for another ultrasound next Wednesday. We can check on the baby every two weeks for awhile she says :) Hope everyones doing well, i'm reading still and praying for all of us.

Cyn - Believe me i know where you are coming from, so many BFN's hurt. You would think we would get used to them but i think each one hurts a little more. Plus it doesn't help that no one truly gets what you are going through. I too would pick fights with DH. Guess it was just my way of getting some frustrations out which really didn't help. After my last cycle with my eggs, i was so resentful to my DH. It wasn't a good time at all. Just know that the gals here get you and we are all here for you. Take some time and relax, try not to think about TTC. Then see what your options are after that.

Kay- Welcome back :)

Hopethisworks- Glad everything is looking good with the baby :)

Cyn- Just wanted to say sorry again, I know that feeling of no-one getting where you are coming from, that is why I love this board cause I know you girls understand the pain of this emotional rollercoaster... This has been one of the hardest things I have been through and each BFN gets me devasted but I always look to God for guidance to give me peace to move on to the next cycle... I pray for everyone on this board for our Dream to come true, I dont understand how life is easy for some and then others have to struggle for what they want... xo

AFM- patiently waiting for my Big day :) Work has been busy so that is keeping my time going quick... the 29th cant come fast enough... Busy weekend coming up 2 bday parties friday night graduation party on Saturday and hopefully the beach on Sunday :) THinking of you all baby dust to everyone xo

Ks_fofo - I didn't even realize you were still in India. I haven't been there, many of my friends have. I understand though how different it must feel, especially with your exciting news. After our failed 6th attempt we have checked some facts about surrogacy in India (using our own embies)and heard pretty much the same like what you're telling, in addition to the "touristic" hospitals being very good. As for us, practically every doc told us that since getting pregnant for us is difficult but has nothing to do with me, a surrogate too may take a long time to have our embies implanted. It is very hard to realize that in addition to the hardship of IVF we will then need to face a high risk pregnancy because of the PTL and that no one knows for sure the reason why. It may sound terrible, but even though being pregnant was the happiest time of my life, I would give it up not only for the sake of a healthy baby using a surrogate, but also to get some of my old life back again - like before dealing with IVF for years. I think I'll know better how I feel for trying again after we're into this try more. Next Friday is when I restart!
How many times are you repeating your beta, and when will you be leaving? Cross my fingers for you, you chose a very brave road.

Kynlee - Yay! thanks...I really can't wait to get started, even though I'm not looking forward to mood swings and bad food cravings! Yet, if this means a baby, bring it on!

Cyn - feeling low after a BFN is totally okay and this is the best place to share your feelings about it. I don't think either one of us ever felt like someone was complaining too much, is there really such thing as too much complaining about IVF? Having a baby should not be made into something so painful and mentally shaking.

Gina - Are you looking forward to leaving Germany because then you could start over again? Sorry I haven't been reading all properly.

Julia - Congrats on 14 weeks already!!! Seeing the baby every 2 weeks sounds good...long time to miss him/her.

Hopethisworks - It is incredibly brave of you to concentrate on the healthy baby that you have. I am never going to understand why so much hardship and loss, but somehow we have to have the strength to keep going and to not loose sight of what's good in our lives.

Sunshine - Ugh! How terrible when there are so many obstacles. It will be wonderful when finally you can get started, I think everybody on the forum is anxious for that to happen!

If i missed someone, please excuse me - still trying to catch up after a long break.

AFM - Nothing much, DH is working longer hours this week and I have been "home alone" quite a bit. I notice I tell people around me less and less about what's going on with us, infertility wise. I know it is only in my head, but I honestly feel sometimes that after so many tries people don't really believe this will happen. At least not easily...
My mom on the other hand has been tremendous support to me lately. I'm her only chance of having grandchildren, and she's not a young mom at all. Yet she keeps on saying she believes it will happen for us. When she says it, it makes sense somehow... :)

Baby dust to you all,

Kay

Hi Ladies,
I'm praying for all of you, especially the ones that have suffered loss recently. I admire everyones spirit and how positive ya'll are. You are my inspiration!

AFM-Life has been so crazy the last few weeks. I finished up my 8th year of teaching on June 6th, then left for Serbia on June 7th. We traveled with my almost 2 year old DD for 30 hours. It is so not fun, but at least I had DH's hands when I needed to go to the bathroom. The airline lost both our bags, so the 3 of us had no change of clothes until Sunday night. I went to doctor in Belgrade yesterday for SNS and she said everything looks good. My lining was 9.37. I will continue 5 units of Lupron and estrace. 4 days before transfer I stop lupron and start progesterone. We talked about what went wrong last FET in december and she said we only have 20-30% chance with frozen embryos and with fresh we had 30-40% chance. Im trying not to get my hopes up but Im still praying for my snowbabies.

I'll catch up real soon and post more personals :D

Crashing for kala to wish you the best of luck this time! Really hope these are some better frosties. The first time DH and I went to Europe the airline lost his bag so can relate to your stress there. They actually never found the bag (they thought they did and sent us some poor Eastern European woman's lost bag, which we promptly returned), which led to some interesting shopping experiences in Paris and Amsterdam.

Waitingkay...
I am back in the US...u stay in India from the start of cycling until at least 3 days past the transfer. My obgyn at home took over my case when I got back home. I have another beta tomorrow then another one in a week if that one is going good. I went to India for ivf first of all because they are one of the top ranking places in ivf and my doc ranked number one there. Secondly, It is a lot cheaper. With flights, hotels, spending money and the cost of the procedure and meds its less than half of what the cost is here. Although I would not call the clinic touristy at all (mainly because i work in the health field) I can say they do know what they are doing. However since this was my first ivf....i am not nearly aware of whats going on like some of you girls. Im sure some of you would be flipping out about how they do things. You know they say ignorance is bliss.
Best of luck with getting started. I'll be praying for you.

Sorry I've been MIA! No real reason, just been feeling bleh -

Patricia - when do you get back home? How long are you gone? Sicily must be amazing! Have so much fun!

Crhsity - crazy week! Do you get along with the ILs? So stressed to have house guests, no matter who they are!

Sonya - I hope the FET went well and you are now PUPO! Are you going to POAS, or wait it out to beta?

Kynlee - dinner with Rosie was nice. She has some hard decisions about where she is cycling next, but hopefully it'll be good for her.

KS_Fofo - congrats!

WaitingKay - I totally understand time off, but I just can't stand it. I wish I could! You are starting Lupron tomorrow? Good luck. I always want to have a plan of what's next if I get a BFN. I like to plan fun things that I can't do if pregnant (like a trip, or a spa day) so that at least I have something to look forward to even if it's BFN. Trip to the USA will be fun - but hopefully I won't go!
btw - when we started teh IVF, I told everyone everything - I needed the support. The last cycle, we didn't even tell our parents! I just got too sick of always having to talk about it - because everyone wanted to know what was going on.
Sorry your husband is working late - mine is too. I miss him!

Lauren - I know time has probably stopped for you and December seems a million years away - but I can't believe how fast that ticker is moving!

HopeThisworksM - I'm so happy baby is doing well! At 11 weeks, they really start to look like a baby, no? Did you get any good pictures?

Cyn - I've had 4BFNs and the all sucked. I can't imagine having them all back to back! I hope your doctor has some suggestions. Unfortunately, the suggestion might just be 'try again' - that's what we are stuck with.

Julia - woohoo! I hope you are feeling good!

Kala - lining sounds good! When do you start the progesterone? Have some fun in Serbia while you are there! I hope the airline found your bags!

AFM - SnS this morning and I don't know what to think. Follicles look good (12mm lead and smaller ones on the R, 9mm lead and smaller ones on L) but my lining is 12.2mm! Wow! It was 4.5 after AF (with my first baseline) and then 9.2 with my second baseline 10 days later - which I thought was high, but doctor said is fine. I'm only on day 5 of stims! How thick will it get?

I'm waiting for blood test results and then calling doctor.

On my way to dinner with Rosie (she was in the car with me), the car in front of me stopped short -and I rear ended her. Turned out to be an 18 year old girl driving her mom's car and freaking out. Ugh. Now my car is in the garage. Luckily, I got a loaner, otherwise, I couldn't get to work, but it sucks.

When I got home, there was a note on my door that the gas company had come for an inspection, and since no one was home (they came at noon! Without arranging it first! WTF?!), they turned off our gas. Now we are fighting to get it back on. Sheesh.

Andd..... on top of everything - I'm sick now! My throat started hurting yesterday and now I have a full-on cold. Ugh. Not "really" sick, but feeling like crap.

Waitingkay, we aren't from Germany (US military stationed here) so just ready to leave period! :) It will be the start of IVF too this Spring hopefully since we are waiting until we move. Just ready to be in the states for good.

Well more bad luck for us......Our truck will cost $700 to get fixed. The part in the states is just $75 but here it is $300. Even if we order the parts they will charge us more to do the job. Horrible how they are doing us but it is our only option. No IVF savings this two weeks :(

Kerpupples-thanks for the well wishes! Yes, I am very glad they found our bags...although Im in need of some shopping. Wow...you are 25 week with your twins, that is so wonderful! They are going to be so beautiful and in your arms before you know it. Stay safe, I hear Denver has had some crazy weather.

Hope-Im so sorry about your loss. But I am so happy your one is doing beautifully and pray these next few days go well and then you will be in the 2nd TRIMESTER!!!!! :)

KSfofo- I can totally understand about going overseas for IVF. All though it is added stress with the traveling it is so worth it. I so happy to be doing it in Serbia because we get the bonus of seeing all of DH's family and friends. Also, my mom gets so many credit card points so she bought one of our tickets. Good luck to you!!! Praying for a big beautiful beta!!!! baby dust to you!!!

Leora-I start the progesterone on the 17th for a FET on 20th. But I thought I was suppose to start 5 days before if they are 5 day embryos? Any advise? I will call the doctor today too. Your lining sounds great! Maybe it will kind of plateau and stay around where you want it. Sorry about your accident, i hope your car gets fix real quick. We almost had an accident in Belgrade coming home the other day. A semi was backing out on the highway! A tour bus in front of us had to slam on the breaks and started fish tailing to avoid a collision. He missed the semi bya few inches!

Gina-sorry about your truck...that sux. Where are you moving to in the states! My brother is in the army and stationed in Nurenburg. He hates living in the barracks and crappy he is treated. He is suppose to go on leave and week and they are having a hard time signing his papers so he might need to pay a boatload to change his flight. Also, he is looking for a mail order bride just so he can get out of the barracks! He is obviously pretty desperate!

AFM- We are trying to get other medical care done here since it is FREE. DH is going to dentist and Im going to get contacts. I had LASIK but it wore off when i was pregnant and nursing DD....boo. Otherwise it is more visiting friends and relaxing. This is turning out to be a pretty nice vacation..yay!

After my 9 frosties if I dont get a BFP I may travel to Boston and she what they can do, still keeping the faith at my clinic I know a few people it worked for here and one had my RE...

Ninde- Cant wait to see your pictures :) Thanks for checking in with us :) My transfer date is the 29th unless my lining isnt where it should be :)

kala- Hope they findyour bags :( I am praying for your snowbabies :) I am also doiong a FET this time around, been reading up on them and I have found alot of success stories so It keeps me positive :)

Hope- Yah for a great appt yesterday, how exciting to move on to your OB :)

Leora- that sucks that they turned your gas off with out notice... Glad you had a nice day with Rosie.. Sorry you got in a accident that sucks :(

AFM_ Its one of those days... :( Just found out my other friend is pregnant I am happy for them just bummed it only took them 2 months of trying and I been trying forever.... Praying God gives me the stength to keep pushing through, I know its all in his hands and it will happen I have to just stay positive...

Gina - Oh, now that I got it I'll be counting the days with you until you return home and can get started! Sorry about the cost of the truck part in Germany:(

ks_fofo - I am crossing my fingers that you had a good beta today, with great doubling time!
Unfortunately, the cycle I start down regulating for tomorrow is # 7, so I am aware of what's going on unlike what you say you experienced. I'm a biologist, and always had the feeling docs weren't too happy with a patient who tried to understand too much. So in the last 2 cycles or so (who's counting, right?!) I behaved so humble, hoping this would mean good news, but nothing happened yet again! Now maybe I'll simply try the couldn't care less attitude...should be considered :)

HopeThisWorks - Congrats on being nearly done with first trimester!!! Time to enjoy and relax.

Kala - Sorry about your bags, but good thing you turn it into a nice vacation! Your lining sounds good and I personally know many women who got pregnant with FET.

Ninde - Wow! Mount Edna! Sounds like you have a pretty active vacation there :D

Leora - Yes, tomorrow is the day I start down regulating...cheering needed.
I share a lot of what you were saying. Another reason why I don't tell details about the treatments is because I know for a fact how difficult it is when there's a BFN and you get phone calls asking how did it go? I prefer to calm myself down, then face people. Sometimes I don't tell anything at all. I know for sure that even though last time we told our parents about the pregnancy when I was 8 weeks (everybody else when I was 14 weeks), this time I will prefer to wait even longer. Parents included. I just want the stress from questions and everyone's fear that something might again go wrong to overlap as little as possible with pregnancy time. I think I do a pretty good job stressing myself, why add to it?

AFM - Big day tomorrow. I am hopefulthe relaxation of the past 2 months and the better diet I kept will help us this time around! This signature can't possibly get any longer!
