Chris - congrats on starting the cycle! how many forzen embies do you have? how many will you transfer?

Sonya - the peesticks do look different depending on how concentrated your urine is. i am hoping it will get darker again today! my best peestick results I discovered accidentally. what i do is i go pee ( not on a stick) then i wait 5 min and come back to pee again. i usually just have a very small amount for the 2nd time - but it is very concentrated and always produces the darkest line when i do it this way.

You ladies are amazing... I did not test again last night. I know it may have been a fluke - I did drink a huge soft drink with my lunch and was so anxious to pee and see that I didn't really give it much time. I was also shocked that the first two tests gave me BFP's... but they are pretty real so not sure what to think. I am going to take another this afternoon (my urine is the most concentrated in the late afternoon). It's been since about 8:30 since I went so if I can make it to three that shoould be good.... I only had one glass of orange juice this morning. At any rate I already went through the dissapointment if it's a total flop.

LOL Franny I love the eye roll.. well done. And welcome to crazy town. Are you still waiting to POAS? My beta is on Friday and I'm dreading it.

hi everyone -

Franny - Happy Birthday honey!! I also spent my birthday in the middle of the 2ww crazies, try really hard to do something fun today, ok? I've heard of some women having no symptoms at all, and are bfp, so dont read anything into that. i hope you had fun at the Beach Boys show and it sounds like you've been doing an awesome job of keeping busy and keeping sane.. well as sane as the 2ww can be. I'm holding out so much for you beta Friday. The last few days are the worst, but you can do this honey! Just a few more days, ok? thinking of you..

Gi - How have you been doing honey? Its feeling like its so far away until we cycle, doesnt it? I know its just a temporary feeling but I have no patience, lol. If I ever stopped to really put thought into cycling I think i'd lose my nerve and talk myself out of it. But now with the last of the adopted embies, at least it will end the madness of repeated trying, you know? Now if it would only be the answer I want so badly.. Ahh, yes, even when not cycling yet this ivf business still has hold of my almost every thought, lol.

Chris - I'm sorry to hear about whats going on at your company. Nothing like adding loads of uneccessary stress right before trying again, right? ugh. Yippee for starting Lupron ( cant believe I just said that!) Boy we old timers are a strange bunch, arent we? haha. I have all faith that you'll have a sibling for Jake whether you're stressing at work or not. I wont tell you not to stress, cause you wouldnt listen anyway, but try ok? it sounds like you wont have a clear answer as to whats going on for awhile anyway so may as well leave it be for now. I'm excited for your cycle and hoping that Lupron doesnt give you those awful headaches! I only had to use it for 2 attempts, but boy it didnt agree with me! I was biting Chris's head off every day. I guess thats one good thing about being DOR, right? haha, I'm already over suppressed, lol. Wishing you an easy cycle - xoxo

Lyd - That sounds like a good plan. I've heard that going from 1 child to 2 changes alot and turns the house schedule upside down for a bit, but I imagine that going from 2 to 3 isnt all that much different. I'm hoping to be able to know what I'm talking about soon though, lol.

Sonya - I agree with everyone, I'm sure tomorrow's line will be a happy sight!

AFM - I'm waiting.. just waiting. I know they said " a few weeks" for the immune test results, but I want to know!! Hee hee, yes, I have no patience at all anymore  Much love and luck to us all! - xoxo

Franny, happy birthday!
My last transfer happened to fall on my 40th birthday and everyone was congratulating me as I was in stirrups ready for transfer. Weird feeling for sure! But it was a good luck!

Sonya - Any more pee sticks update?

Franny - Happy Birthday!! Can't wait for your beta results

Lyd - I have 3 frozen embies, i am going to transfer one. No twins for me.. :D :D Good luck on your decision to have another child. I am thinking 2 is enough for me. DH did say he was fine if we had a third child if it was an OOPPS baby with my eggs. At this point i don't even know if i want that. 2 kids is gonna be a hard enough adjustment.

Katie - Can't wait for you to get your results. How long will you wait before you transfer again?

Can it get any hotter outside? In NY today its 93, really humid and tom. is supposed to be 97 and more humid - blech!
God bless whoever invented air conditioning.

Chris - I'm not sure when we can have our last try. The RE said lets get these tests done and see from there. I did ask him what happens if they all come back normal and he told me that then we are right back where we started "scratching our heads as to why it hasnt worked". Not exactly what I wanted to hear, you know? I will nag him about this new HCG wash, but who knows if he'll be open to using it. Our of 4 attempts since having Ryan, I can really only count these last two, since the first batch was regarded as 'not great quality" at all. He said I'm now considered "repeated implantation failure" Hmm, yet another acronym in my file, huh? As if DOR, AMA, and my personal favorite - atypical ovarian response werent enough letters yet, LOL. This infertility business is pretty rough on the heart.

Franny - I hope that you're just being kept too busy at work, because when you get this quiet I get concerned about you. No visits to Crazytown, ok? Its not a good place to go. be strong honey, just 2 days left - you can get through it!!

Sonya - Any more POASing going on? I have my fingers crossed for you too on Friday!

Much love and luck to us all - xoxo

Good morning girls!!
Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I had a great day. I went to my clinics healing arts spa, and got a massage. It was really nice to go there because she knew exactly what I was going through, and she hit all the same points as acupuncture would hit, and then spent a lot of time on points that encourage blood flow to the uterus. She was so positive and uplifting (everyone at this place is so positive). It was really nice and I was floating leaving there.
I spent the rest of the day relaxing by the pool with piper, and then Barry took me out to dinner. After dinner my Brother and SIL (who is married to my other brother who wasn't there) came over and we just hung out all night.

I'm still feeling nothing! I almost allowed myself to go to crazytown last night. I'm just so nervous for tomorrow that I had a little mini freak out about getting another BFN, and how it's too hard, and I hate all of this, and why does it have to be like this, and blah blah blah...pity party table for 1. Then I thought it would be a good idea to get on my good friend google, and see 7dp5dt symptoms came up with in a search, and of course it was all the same sites I google each cycle, and it never helps me so I snapped myself out of it, and went to bed!
I have no idea what tomorrow will bring. I did everything I could. I don't know what else I could have done. I go in tomorrow for my BETA test at 9:45am, and then I have to go to work all day, and won't be home until 8 at the earliest. I am waiting until I get home so DH and I can be together when we find out. It's going to be the longest day ever!!

Katie It's going to take a while to get those results. When I first started IVF I had to be tested for a rare disease that my brother found out he was a carrier for when his daughter was born and they test for it in NYS, and she flagged as having this disease that kills your cells and if you have it you don't live past 2. It was really scary, and my brother and SIL has to be tested, and they found out just my brother was a carrier so that made my niece just a carrier too!! So since my brother was a carrier I wanted to be tested before starting IVF, and it took 4 weeks I think to get my results. I'm not a carrier! But the point to all of this is it's going to take time. Any specialty blood work takes forever. So are you 100% decided on keeping your remaining embies and trying again??

LYD Thanks for all of your support!!! Congrats on #2!!

Chris Woohoooo for starting again. Tomorrow is the day!! Yay for lupron! haha. I'm with Katie, I hate that stuff, but luckily for me as well, it always over suppressed me so I didn't have to use it for too long! Good luck! your transfer will be here before you know it!!!

Sonya How are you doing? Did you POAS again? I don't know much about those evil sticks because I stay far far away from them, but I do know that the lines on each stick can be totally different, and depending on the urine it can be very unpredictable. I wouldn't read too much into a lighter line. I have a feeling your will be pleasantly surprised tomorrow!! Best of luck to you tomorrow!! I hope we both get our BFP! xoxoxo

Everyone else, thank you for all of your support. It means so much to me. I know I say that a lot, but I really have no idea how I'd stay sane without you all!! xoxoxo

Hi Ladies,

It's been a while - after losing the pregnancy in April I needed a break from thinking about it. My D&C was not completed - about 90% through the procedure, my doc punctured the uterus so they stopped. I had to take antibiotics for a week after to make sure I had no infection from the puncture. I also had the displeasure of having a natural miscarriage for the remaining 10% the doc could not remove. This was probably more upsetting than having the D&C - it was much more than just a heavy period. In the end, I was grateful for the opportunity to even have the procedure...thinking about women who don't have the option and have to pass everything when and if nature allows. Ugh.
We have 9 frosties so we'll try again soon. I just got Aunt Flo last week...decided to wait another month before starting on the b/c pills. In the meantime, I'll be deluding myself into thinking we could do this naturally...;)

FRANNY! Happy birthday and wow, you already have a beta tomorrow!? I have been away too long! I'll be crossing everything tonight for a BFP for you! I assume you have not POAS? :D :D :D

Katie, sorry to hear your last cycle did not work - sounds like you are going to try again? You have some stamina there, girl. ;) I hear you on the crazy heat - it's been like 105 f here (with the heat index). I too have been giving thanks to the inventor of modern a/c, Willis Carrier. I found out today he had 4 wives and no children from any of them. If only he had access to IVF like we do. :)

Sonya - best of luck on your beta tomorrow!

Chris, congrats on starting your cycle! Sucks that your work is in such flux, but if it makes you feel better to know: I had to switch companies 2 months before I gave birth (Same reason - contract awarded to another company. I am a contractor at NASA and switching companies is pretty common for this reason). I was freaking out that I wouldn't get FMLA or the short term disability, but they gave me "credit" for time worked at my old company on the contract. I also got credit for years worked towards qualifying for more vacation time. Here's hoping you get the same type of deal. :)

Claudia, how is your pregnancy going?

Thanks to all you fine ladies for supporting me - I can't remember if I said thanks properly, but it just in case: THANK YOU. Seriously.

xoxo,
Libby

Hi ladies,

Franny and Sonya best of luck today all me fingers and toes are crossed for ye xxxxx

Libby i am so sorry you are going thro. a tough miscarriage, you would think when you go for a d&c you finally get "closure" but to find you still have to lose it naturally as well must be so tough. My 2nd pregnancy the babys heart stopped beating also at 10wks and it took 2 wks to get a d&c so those 2 wks were just pure torture just knowing my little one was still inside but not alive plus my body didnt know it had "lost" the baby and i still had morning sickness. I really hope it wont take too long xxxx

Katie I just cant wait to cycle again :D :D i am one of these people who actually like doing ivf!!! Strange but true but for me its when i am cycling its the only time in my life i actually get a chance to get pregnant or poas, i can never get pregnant naturally so i just enjoy the whole ivf thing...i am so weird ha ha

right may go in work today covering for a girl but its only a half day and gonna take Kayla to a fun centre later as the electricity is gone in our area from 9am to 6pm! Will log on later to Please God see some good news....i feel like its me going thro. the ivf not franny and Sonya as i am so nervous for them!!!

chat later

gi xxx

Franny... Huge waves of baby dust to you!!

Libby I am so very sorry about the miscarriage and the tough proceedure following. I naturally mc'd at 9.5 weeks and it was pretty horrible. It's good to know when you need a break, welcome back to trying.

Gi... We've cycled together a time or two.... I also enjoy cycling... You aren't alone. The thrill of possibility is addicting.

Got a light but very obvious line in under 3 min this morning... I'm still not holding by breath... Off to beta in a few hours.

Franny - I am not going to make it through the day without your results. why the heck are you gonna make us wait that long.. LOL!! I have a good feeling about this one, i hope i am right.

Libby - Sorry you had to endure so much with the miscarriage. I know that must have been rough for a while. good thing you have some frosties. Good luck to you with your FET. Thanks for the info on your contract and switching companies. Now I know i can see if i can get credit for the years works. I already figured i would ask for extra vacation time but didn't know i could get credit for FMLA. Everything is still up in the air, i believe my contractor is going to protest so who knows when everything will be finalized. Guess that is the bad part of being a contractor.

AFM - just realized its Friday.. I get to start lupron. wow i really did forget. we are going to visit my sister this weekend so i already put my lupron in the bag just so i wouldn't forget.

Franny - OMG, this day will never end! At least we know when to stalk this site, lol. There will be so many women cheering you on that we may end up crashing their server, haha. I know how hard today will be for you ( and us too) but you've got loads of love and positive vibes coming at you! Fingers crossed and I'm with Chris I also have a good feeling for your results today - eeeekkk is it 8pm yet??? much love honey- xoxo

Libby - I'm so sorry that you had to go through that, it was really a rough cycle for you to endure. It sure isnt fair what us ivf'ers are put through sometimes. You're a strong woman and we love and support you all the way honey. Hoping you'll have the right outcome this next time. Big huge hugs - xoxo

Gi - Ugh, no power for the whole day?? Its been a heatwave here for the past few days and I cant even conceive thwe thought of no a/c. I put Ryan in long winter jammies last night because we had to run the a/c on high just to get the house to a normal temp. Enjoy your funtime with Kayla! and count me in as cant wait to cycle again too, I must be a glutton for punishment - whew, the 2ww turns me into a whole different anxious person, but oh, for the possibility!! Hi to your Mam - xoxo

Sonya - Fingers crossed for your beta today!!

AFM - I got an email from my nurse saying that the lab mailed the "pending results"?? and they should have it sometime next week?? Huh? In this day and age of technology they mailed the results? Seems odd to me. Also while I'm thrilled that they will get them soon, I'm confused because I've heard from a few people already ( nurse included) that results will take awhile, so now I'm really dying of curiousity! Much love and luck to us all- xoxo

PS, Thanks Frannyfor letting us know what time to bombard this board, haha. You know we all would have worn out our fingertips pressing refresh for you, lol.

Chris - Whew for remembering your Lupron! Isnt it weird how the more experienced we gwet with this the more we run on autopilot and actually NEED to check the med sheet?
