Leora- I think it's a great idea telling them then. You've been through so many ups and downs over the years, you should just enjoy the moment! Can't wait to hear all about it! :)

Kala- Congrats!!

I too still get upset here and there over I am pregnant post or fb updates, but you know....the last 3-4 yrs I've changed and even though it hurts a little, seeing those get a positive especially with infertility troubles... It gives me hope and they will have a time when they get pregnant and want to shout it out also, or through adoption if they choose. I only have about four IVF friends on my FB page and if they get pregnant I hope they post and I'll be happy for them. Plus I have many friends that will want to hear/see that status.

Anton- It is LOVELY to see your post again!! If I am feeling down no matter what the reason is, seeing your bright post make a world of difference. Hope things are going well for you. How did your last interview go? Being away a month (give or take, felt like a year) I didn't see if you got it or not.

Anton- How's the interview process coming along? ugh I know it's challenging at times, dh will be searching endlessly for a job too until he finds one. Today he applied for one in Nebraska. lol I thought seriously? he said well let's see if they call me back first. As for Alabama I'm ok with moving close to family there but the way the college treated dh was ridiculous. What kind of place has you drive 7 hours for a 30 minute interview. His present job at least wined and dined him with lunch, so I feel at least a brunch to get to know someone would of been warm and welcoming. I thought with a first impression like that (and not even on a personal level for that matter), HOW would they ultimately make dh feel in the long run? It's a difficult process. DH asked me if my financial company for the IVF Attain called me back and I said no we have bigger priorities right now. I mean how crazy would it be for us to have a baby next year not knowing how we would be able to afford mortgage or even the fertility clinic bill for that matter. I mean we do have some funds saved but even one IVF would completely wipe us out and we need to be somewhat prepared, right? Honestly I am in denial about dh's job situation because as of right now he is employeed but the contract runs out in August 2013 so we have a year to find something else. But tonight as we were coming home from watching the fireworks I noticed a box of resume paper in the backseat so it's beginning to become a little real to me. He is tossing his resume out to anyone offering and I just don't know what that means quite yet but I don't think we could move up north with the snow, I'd never survive. Why does this have be so hard, dh supposed to be past the job hunting stage right but at the same time no employment in today's economy is certain to be around for 30 years.

Ninde- The adoption process sounds frustrating, I cannot believe that MS would weight so much on their decision that is so ridiclous! My prayers for you is that a door opens very soon. I told dh 2 years ago that I was very interested in adopting AND that same week we found out we were pg. Not sure why things happen the way they do but it's so crazy how the timing works sometimes. I just want to fast-forward now to holding our baby. Tonight as I got lost gazing at the full moon I daydreamed we had a baby boy and he had brown eyes, brown hair I thought maybe by the time I turn 40 we can adopt but I only know it will be worth every step we encounter, that child will make all of this worthwhile!

MadameX- Thank you for asking, dh said the job would have to be filled by mid August but he's not holding his breath.

Leora- I'm praying for you girl that this is it! I'll be stalking the boards tomorrow for your beta!

Kynlee- Congratulations you are PUPO!

Beta is 28.8. Average for 13dpo (according to betabase) is 63. Crap.

With my miscarriage in November, my beta at 13"dpo" was 21.

Crap.

I go back on Sunday. Fingers crossed, but hopes dashed.

now we wait....

Hi everyone! :D

Leora- I am waiting for your beta girl! :D So did you announce last night at the family dinner? How did it go?

Sunshine- Sorry, I am confused on your IVF status! I thought youstarted BCP a while back but then I might be wrong...7hr drive for 30min interview!! That is nuts!  I hope he finds one soon and you guys find your peace! I am still on the job search can you believe it! I have send my CV EVERYWHERE! I have applied for jobs that are way below my qualifications, secretary, receptionist etc. They think I am crazy! I say I just need a job. They don’t hire me because they know that when I find the job that suits me I will leave. Of course I am not saying that I will ...to them...but this is what they believe and they tell me that they would do the same with me. So frustrating!! But I have faith!

Ninde- hey my friend! How are you! :D Thank you for always asking about me and caring. I wish you get your miracle soon! Reading about the adoption at your end...WTF! These are not social workers! These are heartless animals! Don’t listen to them! You and your DH are going to make wonderful parents one day! ((hugs))

Anna- I am so glad you are doing so well! Keep up the good work mama! :D

Kynlee- You are PUPO! Congratulations! :D I sent you tons of baby dust! I wish that your 3 musketeers stick and grow to beautiful babies!!

Julia- Thank God your little boy is ok! :D

Maria- So sorry for your loss. :( It is always hard loosing someone so close to you. Good thing is all those happy memories you have with that person and they know you love them and you know they loved you. I am sure your uncle will take care of you from heaven. How are you feeling? How are the girls?

Kala – HAPPY BIRTHDAY mama!!! Is today right?! :D I bet this is the best birthday EVER!! And again Huge Congrats on your BFP!!! When is the next beta?

Jayne- can I ask why you tried donor eggs in your previous attempt? Was there something wrong with yours? But then again you are using yours now. I saw from your signature that you are only 35 and as long as the doctor haven’t told you that your eggs are no good then I don’t see any reason why not using your own. They say that the quality of eggs starts to decline from the age of 35 but that doesn’t mean that turning to 35 next day your eggs are no good. Just curious! I am 38 and even thought they haven’t told me that my eggs are no good, I was given the option of using donor eggs in my next attempt. I don’t know. I guess any info I get is useful. All the best in August! I wish you that the 4th attempt will be the lucky one!

Gina/glclar298- I am glad my posts have such a good impact on you! :D  No job for me yet as I mention above to sunshine...

MadamX- Congratulations on the amazing number of eggs!! Your donor did an amazing job! :D Now the fun part begins! When are you transferring? Is it going to be a day 5 or? I wish you ALL THE BEST!!! And I send you lots of baby dust and sticky vibes!! :D

Nicole- Have fun in your vacation! :D

Tortillachip- Love your signature name! Your are getting closer to your ER! woohoo! Excited?

Lauren319- How are you mama? :D How are those babies of your treating you? I sent you my love form across the ocean! :D

Hopethisworks- How was the Ob appt? I an missing that feeling of moving forward! Good luck with everything! :D

AFM- As I mentioned above, I am still on the job search   ...A week ago, I have came upon a proposition for either extra income or THE income. There is this company in the United States called WORLD VENTURES and it has expanded in 21 countries and in Cyprus the last 3yrs. Have anyone heard about it? I found it VERY interesting especially when I heard about the income these people get and the vacation benefits they receive  . Absolutely shocking! You stay at a 4 and 5 start hotel and you pay the price of staying in a 2-3 star hotel for your vacations all year round. Sea view or half board or full board you name it the prices are unreal! :o From cheap cruises to the Caribbean , to skiing in the Swiss alps! I am telling you it is fantastic!Having a royal treatment and paying almost nothing! All I have to do is tell to other people about it and get them enrolled. Pay a small amount at the beginning and enjoy this lifestyle! I can work on my own time and on my own schedule. The money I am going to earn - by enrolling other people- are going to be for life! and I get to go for holidays with my family all year long! Sounds great right? :D Anyone interested? I can give you contacts where you are and you can get some extra income if you want to. The way I see it is I have nothing to lose and everything to gain! I’ll keep you posted how my business is doing   I might not have to find a ‘’real’’ job after all! 8)

I had a photo shooting for a cooking magazine on Monday night and it went great! :D They loved my food and I hope the pictures came good too! We had a great time and everyone stayed until 1:30am! :o ...good thing I am not working. The magazine is coming out on the 22nd so I will post pictures of it when it’s out. I made smoked salmon canapés with 3 kinds of cream pure on top, Starter was ‘’asparagus with mozzarella rapped in prosciutto’’ and fried just until mozzarella oozes and prosciutto starting to get crispy, served in a bed of rocket leaves :P For the main dish I made ‘’Beef Tenderloin sitting on a cauliflower/parnish puree with a plums sauce on top and on the side shrimps cooked in skillets and passion fruit’’ That was all the money! :P The desert was Lebanese cream with pistachios and mastixa Chios Ice cream with carob honey drops on top and basil eave to decorate. Yummmyyy! :P For the very end I made a cheese platter accompanied with crapes and walnuts. :P Needless to say I had a different wine for every dish. Over all it was a successful night and DH as soon as we hit the sack told me how proud he was of me pulling off such an amazing dinner and being such a great hostess. I can’t think of a better way to finish my night!

I met with some ex colleagues last night and it was good seeing them and hearing their news. One of them is pregnant wiyh her second and I am so happy for her! :D She has a six yr old boy already and most probably this one is going to be a girl. She told me at the end of the night and she told me that she was stressing to find an easy way to tell me her news because she knows I have been doing 7 IVF’s so far with no baby. But it was ok. I appreciated that she was open about it and I am feeling happy for her.

I am making Bolognese tonight and we are watching Game of Thrones season 2. We had it for some time but we wanted the right time to start watching it and that time is here. I loved the 1st season! :D We were so hooked I bet is going to be same with season 2.

My MIL has rented a beach flat/house for the family for the whole August and so we are going to be driving back and forth to the beach next month. Good thing is that it is a 45min drive. We are expecting a couple of friends to stay at our place for the weekend and I am looking forward to some BBQ and pool games. We will enjoy this summer to the max and hopefully we start talking IVF after that  I am keeping my fingers crossed! may this company brings me some money to get back on the IVF rollercoaster!

Baby dust and sticky vibes everyone!! :D
Keep those BFP’s coming in the board! This is what keeps us going!

Love and light

Oh Leora! Just saw your post :( I don't want to drive you away from the facts/numbers but you will agree with me that we have seen EVERYTHING in this board! Low starting betas with healthy pregnancies and healthy babies at the end and hight betas with the opposite result. All is game in the IVF world. I will pray for you and keep my fingers crossed for a surprising beta on Sunday! After all don't they say that a positive beta is a positive beta  Let's wait and see.

I sent you tons of baby dust and sticky vibes right now! xoxoxo

I'm trying to stay positive, but it's hard.

In November, I didn't get the faintest smudge of anything until 12dpo and my beta at 13dpo was 21. Betas doubled fine - up to 1000+ but then I started bleeding at 5w2d, u/s showed nothing and the whole nightmare started.

I'm really concerned that I've been getting positive pee sticks since Sunday -- if my hcg was being picked up 4 days ago, I should have a higher level today. The sticks definitely got darker/clearer.... I'm so confused.

I hope Sunday brings good news - but I'm a ball of nerves for now.

Leora...I'm just sitting here doing some math in my head. If you got a positive Sunday, don't your pee sticks pick up at a 5? That would mean that would need to be 10 on Tuesday going into Wednesday and then 20 Thursday, no? And your beta is early because of the days the clinic is closed? I would try to stay positive, that's definitely a decent beta for 13dpo! Keeping everything crossed for you girl!

Leora I know it is not the beta number we were all hoping for and I am so sorry you are once again a ball of nerves...I was so hoping this would be easy for you this time. I just want to remind you that my first beta for this current pregnancy was 35 and I too was sure it was all going to fall apart since I have already had a beta hell pregnancy before but it doubled just fine. Hope your outcome will be the same as mine :) hugs a million times honestly my heart aches for you because no one deserves to go through as much as you and David have had to endure. Lets pray that everything is ok from this point on and that it was just a late implanter...which I am sure mine is. Keep poas and lets see those sticks get darker by sunday

Leora- I am really hoping your beta on Sunday is great and that you are reassured that everything is ok! I really hate the stress this all brings!

Kynlee- Congrats on being PUPO! How is everything going? How many did you transfer? When is you beta? I need details :D

Sunshine- Maybe your DH sending out applications all over is an okay thing. This way if he gets a call he can always turn them down just simply saying his interests have changed. I know when I finished up my teaching degree I applied everywhere!!! I went on a ton of interviews too, each interview gave me experience and I finally got a position, which I am very thankful for because it is hard to get a teaching job in PA these days. Oh and by the way the snow is not that bad! I actually look forward to it sometimes :) But anyway I really hope everything works out for you guys and sooner than later!

Anton- that is great about the photo shoot, that is so exciting! Your cooking always does sound amazing! Wow it's awesome that you will have a beach house for the whole month of August to use!!! The beach is always a good time!

AFM- well the bad news first :( - They thawed 5 of my frosties, none made it to PGD, which would have been today. IWe really only had hope for 2 of them which one died yesterday and one stopped dividing last night.I am disappointed about the genetic aspect of all this and the making a baby with my DH …. But I will hopefully have a baby with my DH. I am thankful for what I have and know that our goal is to have a healthy baby and family. Okay so for the much better news – As of yesterday we had 17, one extra fertilized.

Day 2:
7 embryos that were 2-cells
3 that were 3 cells
7 that were 4 cells

So, the embryologist said that there is 99% chance that there will be at least 1 to 3 to freeze. Today (Day 3) when she called 2 stopped dividing, but 5 were 8 cells graded 1 – 1.5, 1 being the best. My transfer is Saturday at 9:15!

Leora- i know you are probably getting discourage with your beta but stay positive I know someone that had a 25 and ended up with a full pregnancy it was a early beta so maybe that is why it is low I am praying you get a great # Sunday...

Anton- Your Menu for your magazine shoot sounded so yummy sounds like a gourmet restaurant... Have you ever thought of being a top chef at a restaurant? If it is something you enjoy then why not look into that line of work? I cant wait to see the photos :)

Madamex- Saturday will be here before you know it, how many you transferring? Are you doing progesterone shots?

AFM- Just resting had a great transfer, usually they have issues cause my cervix is curved and I have to get stitched but this time i didnt get stitched and the Dr went right in no issues quick and easy :) Laid there for about 10 mins then had to go pee cause I felt I couldnt hold it any longer Dr said it isnt going to harm anything that they are diffferent areas so I would be fine... As for my embies I transferred 3 they defrosted 3 and they all made the thaw Dr and Embrologist said they were strong :) I am staying hopefully and positive my beta is Friday the 13th ;) hope everyone had a great 4th
