Leora~ Ugh. The ups and downs of an IVF cycle are so brutal. I'm hoping for a good beta for you on Sunday. I'll be looking for your post.

Anton~ Actually I'm 37 (almost 38) so my egg quality is getting worse. However, I always have "perfect embyros" when I go to transfer. I never get too many eggs though. I usually only start with about 8 eggs and end up with only two embryos by day 5. This time I think our plan will be a little different. My doctor suggested to put in 4-5 in on day 3. He thinks I could get twins (small chance) but doubts I would end up with multiples because I've had so many failed cycles. I had decided after my 2nd cycle that I was just sick of not getting pregnant so I turned to donor eggs. They had told me it was an 80% chance with donor eggs. Since that didn't work, my doctor is so sad for us and is giving me a free cycle. I'm hoping that now that I don't have the stress of my mom's illness/passing, my body will take it better so I am using my own eggs. I have met and talked with moms that have used donor eggs and they are very happy with their decision. I would be more for using donor eggs if all of our kids were the same. I think the decision is harder for me because we already have one that is genetically ours and I really don't want the kids to feel different in any way. I'm pretty sure we will be done if this next cycle doesn't work.

As for those that asked why 5 embies.......First of all because I dont believe in disposing of embies....they are babies even at that stage....Secondly I went to India from the USA to have ivf....i dont have a regular clinic i go to. Thirdly because I cant afford to ever do this again....ever. This was our one and only chance to have children....it had to work or we wouldnt have any children of our own. We are thrilled to be pregnant for 3.....we had hoped for 2 or 3. If there had been more we would have been happy with that too. So that is why 5 embies.

As for how im feeling. Im extremely nausiated.......dizzy and have heat palapatations. Hanging in there for when I start to feel better.

ks-fofo- Congrats with triplets I dont blame you I feel the same way about my embroyos I put back 3 this time and I have some left so if I get pregnant I wont waste those ones I will trying getting a sibling from them My Dr gave me a hard time about putting back 3 or I may have done 4 yesterday

kynlee... Good for you. I wish you the best with this cycle. Again we went to India to do our cycle. We could never afford to be able to do ivf in the US. Its just way to expensive and quite frankly we couldn't afford to do it at all again. We had one shot. So we made the most of it. I think the US puts too much stigma on how many embies you can transfer. I think it should be up to the discretion of the parents that the embies belong too. Although there are some instances where that can not be allowed either for example...octomom.
Anyways best of luck....will be watching for your BFP announcement!

Leora: oh I'm.sorry you didn't get the definitive beta you wanted and we all hoped for. But its still early and its a definite positive. I'm crossing everything g for sun and will check in regularly.

I'll post other personals tomorrow. I've been fighting a nasty cold sore since Tue and today I feel really u.well - itsike my nerves all the way through my body are exposed and raw, my head is banging and I'm pretty sure I have a sore throat

ksfofo-congrats on the tirplets. im glad they are going big and strong. I will start praying for you! I think kbilings(?) is having triplets too. She should be due soon. Im 6'1" and I always joked with people that if my 3 implated, i would have plenty of room to carry them.

Anton-thanks for the birthday wishes! yes it was the 4th. it was nice but weird with no fireworks since they were banned because of all the fires. I love hearing about all your adventures and live vicariously through you.

Madame-that is bittersweet. Im sorry, but it sounds like you have a lot of hope at getting your baby in your arms.

AFM-Today's beta was 1495. Scheduled my U/S for july 16..back on another 2ww. Prayers and baby dust for all!

Super beta progression Sara! I hope you had a nice 4th up in the mountains. We stayed in the city where it was terribly smoky. We had wildfire smoke blowing in from CO Springs, Grand Junction, and Laramie. Happy 30th birthday! I'm in the north Denver suburbs so we'll be delivering at North Suburban. What about you? The brand new St. Anthony facility in Lakewood looks really nice. I used to work over there and would try to deliver there if I still did.

Leora - I'm really hoping that this is just a slow starter, not unlike my own DD. Bummer about having to wait until Sunday for beta though. I don't know what I would have done without the 7 day a week clinics we have here.

HPT this morning was much darker and clearer (even DH could see it! )

I don't know what to think... just waiting...

In any case, this is pregnancy #5, and I've never brought a baby home... so I know that this is just the beginning of (what I hope is!) a long, scary wait!

AFM- in bed bored hating the tww... I think I forgot to take my estrace pill this morning suppose to take 3 times a day and almost positive i didnt take when I woke up, whats your opinion on this? Is this going to ruin my chances???

Kynlee-i did the same thing with eatrace....i went ahead and took the pill even though i may have already.

kala- The Nurse called back and said its ok if I only take it twice today but to make sure I stay on top of it 3 times a day... So confused did you double one of your doses or skip the one dose?

Leora - Maybe you did had the Beta too early. If it was 28 on Thursday maybe it will be 224 on Sunday!

Ladies - I am taking Lupron 10 units a day, I have a horrible headache, sore boobs, I am super sensitive, is it normal? This is my second IVF cycle and I used Ganirelix in the first cycle.

Sunday I have some pain in the neck relatives (aunt and cousin) coming for lunch at my house. I just dont like having them over, they are not pleasant. They have been asking to come to my house for lunch for months so I just want to get this over with. My husband will help with the cooking, but I am just worried I will explode and say something I shouldn't. I am not myself these days.

FYI - last time they came, my cousin asked for more whipping cream for the strawberry shortcake I made (like it didnt have enough). I made lasagna, salad and baked chicken and he asked for some rice. We are all Brazilian and we eat rice and beans everyday, couldnt he just eat the lasagna and shut up ? Its all carbs anyways. LOL

pocos- I had terrible headaches with Lupron the first time I did IVF I use cold presses for my forehead and took tylenol. The next few cycles after that I was fine with Lupron not sure why but just didnt have the same effects the next time around... good luck with your cycle As for the Family, Wow they got nuggets lol I would hide the rice and tell them you dont have any if they ask for it this time Trust me these meds make you go crazy so this time around you may huck something at someone Hope Sunday goes off without a problem

AFM- I am getting discouraged I know its only been 3 days but I need a sign lol

Provos- yes, that is normal for lupron. Sorry about the relatives. Some people are just pests.

Leora-glad the line is darker. I'm feeling positive about it.
