Hi ladies,
I hope everyone is doing well. I went yesterday for another ultrasound and the tech tried to get 3D images of the girls. Baby A had her face buried in the placenta so it was impossible to get one of her but the tech was able to get a few really beautiful images of Baby B. The tech said she would try to get some of Baby A next time.

Bodie - congratulations. Your babies are just gorgeous and so healthy

We - I love the 3D picture. It's so clear. Lets's hope you get a nice clear pic of Baby A next time.

Kbillsy - you are incredible. Still hanging there with you three little ones. Just awesome.

Jen - not far now. You get to meet Landon real soon.

Anna - such a clear pic of your son's wee willy! Especially for 15 wks.

Happy - so close. I've got my fingers crossed that you'll go into labour before you're induced.

AFM - had my 16 week scan and there's no sign of abnormalities related to Meckel-Gruber Syndrome. Yaay!!!! The obs and sonographer were happy with the measurements and the pictures that we got and have given a provisional thumbs up. I'm so relieved but at the same time will be even more reassured once we have the second scan. I got the ultrasound results in the mail and the all measurements are within normal range except the femur length which is really low. I was 15 wks and 6 days at the scan and the measurement was 17.5 - very low percentile. I then freaked myself out googling and reading that shortened femur length is a soft marker for Downs. However, after chilling our a bit I know that there is an error margin of 3-4mm either way. DH and I both have quite short legs to hopefully we've just got a little shortie.

We asked the sex of the baby but the sonographer said she couldn't see clearly enough to be definite. She then let a 'her' slip when she continued with the scan. So maybe we've got a girl, maybe we haven't.

Anyway sorry about my rant. I wish it was all plain sailing and that I didn't freak myself out about each and everythng to do with this pregnancy.

Tess: That is fantastic news! Do you feel comfortable telling people yet or are you going to wait for the next scan?

Jen: You'll be a mom so soon... How exciting!

AFM: I'm literally swamped with doctor's appointments these days. I'm excited that there's been some cervical changes 3cm dilated at the lower part and 1.5cm at the inner part. I've also been given the green light to deliver by the MFM. Travis measures at 7lbs 9oz now and my fluid is high normal. I'm pretty miserable and am looking forward to meeting our baby. If I do not go into labor on my own, I'll probably be induced at 39 weeks which is fine by me.

Happy - wow, how exciting. Not long for you now. We have started to tell people this week. It would be pretty difficult to hide my pregnancy till 20 wks. My belly is started to grow and there's no sucking it in!

Jenn - you are down to the last few days now - rest up and GOOD LUCK!!!

Maria - don't you love the 3D images!?! They kept trying every appointment for me until we had a good view of the face for each baby! Can't wait to see them for real and see how closely their U/S pix look like them!

Tess - so glad to hear you are clear on the MGS - I'm sure that is a major relief! I wouldn't worry too much about the femur length, especially if you guys are short. When is your next scan? Sounds like you should have gender confirmation next time Have fun sharing your great news!!

Barbara - Wow - he is getting very big!! I know it is pretty rough with this heat to deal with the big, heavy belly! Hang in there - you are in the home stretch

AFM - I am officially done working as of end of day today!! The dr office pulled me today since they know how uncomfortable I am and it is MUCH less stressful if I don't have to deal with work too. My husband and I have a hotel right near the hospital for the weekend - we wanted to be as close as possible to the hospital, have access to a pool, bigger bed and non-stop AC for a few days! I am so glad we have made it this far along, but as far as I am concerned they can come out and join us any time now Have a great weekend mamas!!

Kbillsy - hooray for end of work! Don't blame you for being ready to be done - almost there myself. I'm happy your babies have grown so nicely.

Tess - congrats on the normal probably-girl! I'm sure the femurs are fine.

Barb - probably best if Travis cooks just a little longer, but I know how you feel! Glad the fluidis down in the normal range.

Maria - what a wonderful picture of B!

Jen - you are days away! So exciting!

Lyd - how are you?

AFM - I had my 28 week scan today. My blood pressure was beautiful at 112/65. Babies are GROWING! Bruce is 3 lbs and Audrey is 3 lbs 7 oz. So with placentas I'm now carrying more than I was when I delivered DD. The Dr said we may try to deliver at 36 weeks, which would be end of August. we have had a heat wave and I've really felt it. I had an amazing prenatal massage yesterday. Going back for another in 3 weeks. DH and I have been fighting. Seems he was much nicer during my first pregnancy. Hope things calm down in that regard after the babies are born.

Hello everyone,
I am hoping to join your group all though my EDD is Feb. 19th, 2013. So I am 8 weeks pregnant today for triplets after my first ivf attempt. Could use some pregnancy encouragement. Im horribly nauseated and pretty miserable right now.

Welcome Kelly! I'm sure you are good and tired in addition to the nausea. I never had it too bad but for the ladies who have, Zofran seems to have done wonders. With any luck the nausea will ease once you hit your second trimester.

Kelly - Welcome and congrats - I'm also pregnant with triplets!! I was sick until about week 14 and then it went away pretty much all at once. I lived on bagels and cereal during that time - everything else made me sick. Hang in there - you will feel better soon!

We are all still hanging in there - the pool is my new best friend these days! I'm looking forward to Wed Dr appt. Hoping we set a date for their arrival for sometime soon!

Thanks for welcoming me! Im glad I can join here. The doctor called in an order for zofran today. I really hope it helps cause I am MISERABLE! Also they did my one hour sugar test yesterday and I failed So now I have to do the 3 hour test. That orange syrup crap you have to drink made me sicker than a dog (as if I need any help with that). Maybe with the nausea med it will get better. I'm excited to know Im not the only one having triplets! Im believing that once this first trimester is over it will get better.
In the meantime I'll keep reading the pages to get acquainted with you all.

Kerpups - glad to hear your 28 wk u/s went well but sorry to hear your fighting with DH. There's a lot going on your life with your twinnies and impending birth so try not to sweat the small stuff too much. Save your energy for the big stuff!

AFM - everyone at work is falling sick with the swine flu. Pretty sure that's what it is - fever, coughing, lethargy, sore throat, vomiting and diarrhoea. It's really knocking people about and they're away from work for days. The 3 people that I share an open plan area with have all had it and are recovering but I'm surrounded by hacking coughs all day. Considering I'm pregnant and have got the compromised immune system, I'm surprised I haven't got it yet. Fingers crossed it doesn't come my way. It's winter here in New Zealand at the moment. Roll on summer and those lovely long days. Anyway, time to go and stoke up the fire. Nice and early to bed tonight to help bet those nasty bugs.
