Introducing ourselves

Post by das7235 »

We are an unfortunate couple (31f, 31m). I had two MC’s (Mar-11 and June-11) à my husband was detected with balanced chromosome translocation (2, 11) à we have had 3 doses of Clomid & 2 doses of Femara, no success till date. Doc says about two options now – (1) IUI with FSH (2) IVF with PGD. We are going for option (1) before finally deciding on (2). So my qns are ---
a) Side-effects of FSH injection?
b) Seeking success stories of IVF with PGD?
c) Most important --- We want to communicate with some couple who had already undergone IVF. So it would be helpful if you could kindly get in touch, even if you do not want to reveal your true identity. Hope you understand.

Thanks,
Tora

Hi Tora? My wife and I attempted IVF 3 times. The first two, unsuccessful. The final attempt, we contemplated for a while because the heartache of all our savings dwindling away with the first two failures, didn't sit well with us. Fortunately, three people offered to carry for us.

We chose her cousin. On the very first attempt with her, two day-5 embryos were transferred. As fate would have it, both attached. Today, we have twins boy|girl.

As a husband on this journey, I found hardly any support for me. Often times, I consoled my wife with nothing to say but merely a hug. If I can be of service, please fire away. That's what I'm here for.
Blessings,
Josh
