Hi Ladies, Does anyone know of anyone who got a 5 for their 1st beta? I had my first blood test hcg beta on day 12.5. If so, what happened? On Day 11.5 post 5 day transfer my home pregnancy test finally showed a very faint positive. My clinic thinks this may be late implantation. I know it doesn't sound good, but would love to hear of anyone's experience or thoughts!! Baby Dust! Kitty

* 6 IVF Transfers: 4 Fresh, 2 Frozen, 3 BFNs, 2 BFPs (1 no heartbeat, 1 ectopic), 1 TBD
* 5 Fresh IVFs: 1 transfer cancelled due to lining
* 4 Frozen IVFs: 2 transfers cancelled due to lining
Was your 5 tested the same day as your bfp? There have been reports of low betas but I'm going to say that does not look good. My last pg beta was 9 and the nurse was not optimistic. Unfortunately she was right. It all comes down to the rise. When is your next beta?

Thank you for your reply. My first hpt faint positive was yesterday on day 11.5 and my blood test hcg beta was a 5 today on day 12.5. Because of July 4th and clinics and labcorp being closed...I must wait until Thursday to do the next blood test. I've been reading on the internet and managed to only find 2 positive stories...one with a girl who had a 4 and one with a 5 who had live births...but I know it doesn't look good. Baby Dust to you. xo

You can always hope for the best but i would be cautious. I know a gal that had a 5 and ended up with a successful pregnancy but she received the 5 on 6days past 5 day transfer. So a lot earlier then you are testing. The problem with looking up other stories is that clinics do betas on different days, mine does them really early, on 11dpo or 6dp5dt some clinics wait a full 2 weeks after transfer.

Sorry for the bad news...but my 2nd beta was down to less than one. My clinic said it was an early miscarraige. Back to the drawing board. Thinking I'm going to try 1 more fresh tranfer and then...if that doesn't work go the surrogacy route.
