Sorry I haven't been around so much going on summer has been busy, I have been reading every night and I'm cheering you all on silently! I got my period tonight transfer should be within 2 weeks depending on when my RE is doing the transfers. I'm on lupron and will go for a baseline u/s sometime within 3-4days I guess this is it! I'm excited

Ninde- My 2 nephews just got over that hand mouth and foot disease.... So sorry you had to go thorugh through that but at least the worse part is over....Praying for a quick recovery

Madamex- No I am not going to poas a stick I dont want to go through any emotions until I can get the definite from the Dr's... If I were to get a negative before Fri I will be devasted and if it was a positive I would question it a million times lol I got will power Did you do a 5 day transfer? How many did you put back?

AFM- sitting around trying to past time Got a few back spasms tonight so I hope i didnt get any kind of infection from the transfer, would a infection show up this late? They are very mild but I dont usually get them so I automatically started thinking infection..

I'll do personals later because I'm sitting quite uncomfortably and want to sleep. 19 eggs retrieved! I'm not as excited yet because from higher numbers we haven't see many good embryos and more importantly, we haven't seen a baby yet. But it's a good start and I'll write once I get the fert report.

I took another HPT last night, telling myself that if it was fainter/negative, I'd go for a blood test today to "get things over with", but to my surprise, it was clearer and darker than Sunday morning's test. Maybe there's hope? I don't want to get too excited. In November, my betas were low, but doubled fine (faster than this time) - and I still miscarried. I'm stuck waiting... Hopefully we'll see a heartbeat on the u/s in a week or two and we'll get to relax a tiny bit.

Julia - 18 weeks - sooo exciting! And so great that little Samuel has a name and you can feel him moving!

Kynlee - just try to relax. Cramping can be a sign either way. Friday is so soon!

Christy - so the plan is a hold for now? Sucks that you can't start the Shared Risk program and then continue it somewhere else if you move. Can you do a long-distance commute to the clinic (if you have to move)? ie, do monitoring where you live, but do the ER/ET at the clinic with the Attain program? This whole thing sucks, and it's no one's fault....

Gina - welcome back with your old sc! Indoor pools are great - enjoy the swimming and your 'not too hot weather'!

Patricia - I struggle a lot with weight too. Have you been tested for PCO/insulin resistance? I'm PCO and insulin resistant - makes it really hard to lose weight even when I'm working really hard. I've been told I should probably start Metformin when I finish the IVF. -- FOOT AND MOUTH?! Are you really a horse? Sheesh! Why are you always sick? That's so crazy! It's a virus, right? So nothing you can do but wait it out? Where are you picking up this stuff?

Tiger - yeah, I have a crazy memory We are considering moving from IVF/ICSI to dsIUI -- the IUIs are easier, no? Donor Sperm is a big issue here in Israel (the religious right have gotten it super regulated - so stupid), but we have a meeting with the sperm bank in September. I have ER on Friday and it was great to have the weekend to relax after. Why a 3 day transfer? Do you want to try for a day 5 transfer?

MadameX - Monday is soon! less than a week! I'm a super wuss and always succumb to POAS... good luck!

Tia - will you transfer all 4 embryos? Congrats, btw!

Dys - hurray for AF arriving! I hope your baseline goes great!

Kay - I had 19 eggs this time! That's great! I hear you on not getting too excited because there still hasn't been a 'take home baby'... I'm working on pregnancy #5 now. The whole 'process' sucks. I'm sorry. Sometimes I wish I was the only person going through this type of crap, because I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. <big hugs>

AFM - just trying to stay calm until we know more. Scheduling lots of dates with girlfriends as well as dates with D.

Kynlee- Yep we did a 5 day transfer, we transferred 2, and I am hating the 2ww. I am kinda bored, which makes it go by even slower. I did get summer school, but only 1 class instead of 2 so I am home by 11. Today my bff is off so we are heading to the mall in a bit to spend my “no money”

Kay- that is great 19 eggs, hope the fert report is a good one!

Dys- are you getting ready for a FET?

Pocos- good luck with your baseline tomorrow!

Gina- how soon will you be starting up again?

Leora- the line did get darker, I can totally see the difference!

Tortilla- good luck with the ET today! How many are you transferring?

AFM- My embryologist called and said she was able to freeze 3 of my embryos, which I am thankful for. It is at least one more try if this doesn’t work out, but we still had 12 growing on day 5, it is just weird to me how there were only 3 to freeze. I hate this 2ww not really cramping anymore, just bloated and feel fat.

Madame x - Sorry you're feeling fat. Are you on suppositories or PIO? Progesterone is bad for your confidence. I only put 1 suppository and already feel bloated and fat...but we're in the same club which is nice!

Ninde - Sorry the weight battle has proven hard for you. I've tried the 17 day diet by Dr. Mike Moreno (this isn't a hidden publicity!!!) Because I only had 2 months off IVF. Though I didn't continue by the book after the first 3 weeks, I found it quite beneficial in terms of loosing weight without feeling hungry. It's no magic, but he has some pretty good insight on how to make healthy food taste okay and how to make you go ahead.

AFM - Out of 19 retrieved, 16 were mature and 14 fertilized! We will go for a 3 day transfer because RE wouldn't like us to do a day 5. I tried persuading him today but it didn't help. Maybe it's because normally by day 3 not so many of our embies survive. Okay, I really need your help. RE only told me to use the suppositories, and to start the blood thinner again after transfer. I quit the blood thinner already on Saturday, getting ready for yesterday's ER. I tried calling the high risk Dr. we saw during cycle # 6, then he told me to use the blood thinner when I'm stimming. No instructions regarding the "gap" between ER and ET. The secretary literally barked at me so badly that my good mood was immediately ruined! She liked me when I was there last time, and seemed really okay but she behaved terribly on the phone! The worst was she insisted on understanding he must have explained this to me already and said I just didn't get it. I told her last time I came it was during the 2WW but nothing helped she just wanted to be rude!
Bottom line - what do you ladies recommend? From today or from Thursday (ET day)? I have APS but don't need blood thinner on a regular basis, just when doing treatment and next time I'm pregnant.

WaitingKay - Congrats on the 14 embies. I don't know much about the blood thinner but i would think to wait to take it again till after ET. The reason am thinking this is that maybe after transfer you might bleed somewhat. a thinner blood might cus you to bleed more and possible hinder implantation. That is just my thinking. Good Luck!!

Leora - hpt's are getting darker. Are you still waiting till Thursday for another beta? When will they schedule and u/s?

Kay- 14 is a great fertiltiy report So your transfer is tomorrow? I dont know too much about the bloodthinner, the nurse should be alittle more understanding and not so rude we go through enough stress on this journey... Can you email your Dr?
