LaurnN- I want to wish you the best of luck on your cycle. It is weird doing a DE cycle and not going through the retrieval process. I felt like i was being left out on the day of ER when hubby had to go give his sample and I didn't even have to go. There was no need for me at the clinic. I hope this cycle is a success for you.

to have fun- well, I thought about feeling left out on that day, BUT, we decided that he would collect his "love" here at the house, so I can participate  , then, he will just run and go drop it off. So, he won't even go any further than the receptionist area. I honestly don't know how I will feel throughout the process, or even after the process since I've never done anything like this before....... what kind of emotions did you go through from the beginning to the birth?

LaurnN - Glad you and hubby can have some fun of your own with the collection part. I thought about going in with DH but that was just too weird for me.. YKWIM? We had to do it in the clinic because of the distance from where live to the clnic was too far for him to do it at home. ER date was one of the only times i have felt out of whack. The only other times i really think of it is when I have thought of who he looks like. Ya know trying to pull out DH's traits and realizing my genetics aren't in there. I have never had a doubt that doing DE was the best decision i have ever made. I tried with my eggs and it didn't happen. I wanted a baby and this was the best way for me personally to reach my goal. My baby boy is the joy of my life regardless of his genetics. So far he has ended up with Blue eyes which was the only thing i really wanted since both DH and i have really blue eyes. Other then that he has my laid back personality. For most of the people that i know that have done DE, once they are preggo, the DE part really has no impact. Though I know everyone is different.

To have fun- we've done 3 cycles now with my eggs and it just hasn't worked out. I have 2 children from my previous marriage. My husband has never had children and his biggest dream, from the time he was little was to have his own biological children, so that is why I am totally good with using donor eggs......it fullfills his dreams and that is soooo important to me. I LOVE babies and love kids. I get attached to every baby I hold, so I KNOW I won't have any problems connecting and bonding with my babies even if they aren't biologically mine. We live right on the edge of being able to collect the sample at home, they give us a medium to put in after we collect just in case it takes him a little longer to get into the office. I'm really excited and am very hopefully that this cycle will be the cycle that works and I stay pregnant and not miscarry.

Hi ladies, wow what a lot of news today!!

LauraN: thank you so much for sharing your story, that was really generous of you. And really amazing weight loss. How do you feel now? Did you have to alter your life alot? A friend had the same operation last year and lost a huge amount of weight and it has changed her life. Some advice on the shakes would be great, thank you. They couldnt really give me much, just a cream for the blisters, ibuprofen, something for the throat blisters and an antihistemene.

Nicole: how was your mri today? Have you had any time to rest?

Leora: congratulations!!!!! This is such wonderful news. I'll bet your te was thrilled?

Julia: and more great news for you, that's brilliant

Maria: how are you?

Waiting kay: I know, its a tough one. I would, but that's just me! Im wishing you so much good news tomorrow and crossing everything for you

Madam x: that's a good report on your progesterone and estrogen. How is your head getting on with the 2ww?

Kynlee: im really hoping you get an amazing beta :-)

Afm: I spent the day in a spa with one of my good friends. I slept through the treatments including the manicure!! It was lovely and between treatments we either reclined on heated lounges or sat in the jacuzzi. I got a lot of rest which was good. My body still hurts, particularly when im dressed but today was good.

Ninde

Tiger: oh that's a brilliant report :D

OK Leora - this emby does appear to be a late bloomer like my DD. My DD is also stubborn as hell - so not that I wish it upon you later, but I do wish it upon you through the duration of a healthy pregnancy. Congratulations!

Leora: congrats I'm so happy for you! Also so interesting that you live in Jerusalem. Did you go there for work or your hubby?

Ninde: sounds like an amazing day!

Kynlee: I didn't have any pregnancy symptoms before the BETA when I was pregnant with my daughter. Stay positive ;-)

AFM: I'm just laying here resting up being bored as hell but am fully destressed and am trying to meditate a lot. I have one more day bedrest and then it's back to normal life!

Leora Congratulations!! Soo happy for you!

Ladies, I will start gonal-f tomorrow 112.5ui in the morning and 75 ui in the evening, lupron 5 ui and antibiotics (me and my husband). I am sooooo afraid of getting hiperstimulation again. My first IVF was with Gonal f 225, menopur 75 and ganirelix. Triger with ovidrel... That was over a year ago. Hopefully with a lower dosage and an older Pocos the hiperstimulation wont happen again!

Good luck to us all!
