Wondercat- I am sure i Will look like I am going to pass out when I get my U/S too cause honestly I am worried if they hurt the situtaion... But I have to trust God will come through :) As for when I got my BFP I was over the moon and then by Sunday it settled in and I realized Im not even half way there and got alittle nervous knowing anything can happen... I hope the worry goes away, I am taking it one day at a time and trusting that God is in control so that I can enjoy every minute of this :)

Ninde – Have an awesome time! Where are you/did you go?

Sunshine – I’m so glad you were able to vent here. You should have told that woman to give you her baby! You know, some people just don’t realize the gift that they are given. I’m so sorry you had a terrible day…things will fall into place. We are all here for you.

Blueeyedreamer – oh you have to love in-laws. My MIL is a piece of work. A few years ago, before she knew about our IF, she would ask all the time, when are you going to have a baby…blah blah blah. So, many times I just wanted to scream at her! One time, she said, gosh already, I guess I’m going to have to adopt grandchildren. I wanted to slap her! DH is an only child, so we have all the pressure…

Pocos – sounds like a great protocol! Hoping for lots, but not too many, eggs!

Madame X – JUST WONDERFUL NEWS!!! CONGRATS!!!

Kynlee – great 2nd beta! You are doing awesome! Don’t be discouraged!

Wondercat – I haven’t been pregnant yet, but I’m with you, it seems like the worry will never end. So many of my friends have had miscarriages that originally I thought if we finally got pregnant through IVF that I would scream it from the rooftops, but now I feel like until 12 weeks, I’m still going to be nervous. We will tell family and a few close friends, but that’s it.

AFM: as expected, the clinic called today and there were no embryos that made it to freeze, but I’m not surprised or sad, it’s what I expected. I must say, I am feeling so hopeful this time. Over the past few months, with the chemical pregnancy that I had in February, it was kind of rock bottom for me, so I’ve been working really hard to make significant changes in my life. I cut back at work, was super hard to open up and have a super transparent conversation with my boss. I’ve been working at my company for 10 years and have had the same boss, so I felt comfortable sharing what I was going through. I basically said, I am always and have taken on more and more and more, asked for very little, but now I am asking to cut back and I really need this. I am so thankful that my job has been flexible and reduced my work load. Not a ton, but just enough to make a huge difference. I gave up a lot of volunteering stuff that I do, which was really hard, because I really enjoyed it, but knew that I needed to focus on myself right now. I realized that I just gave and gave and gave and it was time for me to give to myself. Between changes at work and volunteering, it really reduced the stress in my life. It was hard work to dial back a lot of different things, but I did it and I know now that it was the right choice. For the first time, I feel like I’ve made space for this journey in my life. Before, it was so painful that I looked for other things to focus on, like work and volunteer, but realize now that by trying to focus on other things, it stretched me too thin and created a lot of stress in my life. I just wasn’t sure if I could get here, but I think I did it! I just feel really good. I’m just hoping that this confidence continues as it gets closer to the 23rd and 25th! Anyone else cut back and had success in reducing their stress that ended in a positive?

tiger- i think it is great that you released some of the work and volunteer stuff for right now, it will all be worth it when you get your bfp... Sometimes we have to focus on us and not everything else that we get caught up in... I was just like you I took on so much to keep me occupied and finally said its my time to do for me and now I got my BFP :) I put all my trust in God and did everything right I rested for 5 days where in the past i worried about work but had to think of the end of things and what I wanted and I feel so good I did... Work and other things will always be there waiting :)

alwaysangel- 10 is a great #... Drink lots of gaterade and see if your doctor can give you a med to reduce the side effects of ohss...

Wondercat, Good for you for putting IVF treatment first. I had to change jobs to give me better flexibility, but now I'm worrying about dh's job. He's a college instructor teaches History and Political Science courses, been in that line of work for the last 10 yrs, (residing in Ga and now Fl.) Just last March, the college had a big cut-back, so his contract expires in Summer of 2013 giving him a full year to find something else. Yes I hear Va is so beautiful in four seasons. I bet it's nice going up for a drive to visit you sister, where do you guys currently live?

The job in Richmond, Virginia would begin Spring 2013. He's also applying for several high school job openings in Tallahassee, FL. He doesn't mind one way or the other just as long he can find something in the teaching field. Job searching is aggravating esp. when you throw out 30 applications and you only get one call back AND then that one interview in Huntsville, AL consists of a 7 hr drive where the interview only lasts 30 minutes, is beyond expensive and time consuming. Hopefully his divison chair can give him some insite this week and we can find direction along the way soon, time can only with that. I'm getting anxious to get some loans out of the way and start IVF soon.

Amy - 30 weeks is soooo fantastic! Those babies will be here before you know it!

Sarah (Kala) - did you have your u/s yesterday? How did it go?

Patricia - I have been the only one that didn't get pregnant when it seemed like everyone else was... it's hard because you root on your cycle buddies but feel so left behind. I hope this cycle is it for you! But don't stress out about us... we are supposed to be helpful, remember? :) Enjoy your trip with your friend. Where are you going?

Maria - you are also so close! So exciting!

Kay - how's the wait going? I also hate the suppositories! I bought some cloth pantyliners and they help a lot! I hated making a mess in my underpants and I also hated the plastic disposable panty liners. The cloth ones are great! I highly recommend. (I'm not sure I would use cloth pads for period bleeding, since that would be gross/hard to clean, but the suppostiory gunk washes right out!) Also, I set my alarm 30 min before I wake up and keep my suppositories on my night stand. I find I "drip" a lot less if I put it in and stay lying down for another half hour.

Dys - I've never used the patches, always the pills. I think I'll ask about patches next time, since I hate having to remember to take the pills 4 times a day!

Tiger - sorry you threw up! Definitely too early to be a pregnancy sign and I agree with everyone else that it was probably the antibiotic. How are you holding up? Sorry there were no embryos to freeze. I didn't have any this time either...

Lori - 21 eggs and 10 fertilized is GREAT! Congrats! Trying for a day 5 transfer?

Tia- each of my cycles has been different and I've never been able to predict BFN/BFP!

MadameX - you didn't POAS at all? In any case --- HUGE CONGRATS! I'm so excited for you!

Christy - a friend of mine, who knows our whole story, just decided to TTC a second and got pregnant on their first month trying (like they did with their first). Now she is complaining that she's not sure she wanted to get pregnant again and it happened too fast and she's worried about money. WTF? Sheesh. I'll strangle your co-worker and you strangle some of my friends -- like 'strangers on a train' - this way we won't be caught! :D Birthdays are tough - mine is in a few weeks and it's really hitting me hard. I can't believe it's been another year....

Nicole - sorry about your ILs. Can you tell them a bit of what's going on so they let it go for a while? We found that telling our parents we were doing fertility treatments made them shut up about the "when are you going to have a baby" questions and jokes. You have a mass near your ovary and no one is concerned about it? Do they know what it is?

Pocos - good luck stimming! My first cycle, I started with 100 iu of Follistim (same as Gonal F) and it was fine!

WonderCat - on an island? How strange! :D And to answer your question, I'm thrilled and TERRIFIED about my BFP... at least with a BFN, things are over. With a BFP, every day is a new worry, especially with my history. It's hard to accept that I've had 4 BFPs end in nothing but pain and heartache, but maybe this one will bring me a baby home with me...

Chris - congrats on being PUPO!

AFM - okay! Work awaits! I've wasted all my breakfast time writing here! :D

It's okay... I didn't really want to eat breakfast anyways. I'm not throwing up, but feeling queasy.

Last night, after the gym, I had a clump of brown streaked mucus when I wiped in the bathroom. Crap. I'm hoping everything is okay -- just 26 hours or so until my u/s!

Sunshine- I'm so annoyed for you that the college in AL didn't have the courtesy to do better. The expensive trip for a tiny interview is one thing and then to top it with no phone call is just plain rude. I feel for the person who ends up with the job.

Madame- Big Congrats to you! Crossing fingers for big beta doubling!

Leora- I've had such terrible endometriosis which is likely the root to my infertility. My re has been watching this thing near my ovary for a while now. It's funny though, I don't think it showed up on my u/s today. The sonographer said she saw some tissue that could be an endometrioma in the ovary but it didn't look significant. I have a couple of fibroids that don't look like they are in the way of the lining. I have the SIS on wednesday so we will know more about that then. I should post pics of my endo surgery. Horrible! I'm lucky I found a specialist who was able to save my fertility or so we think.

Tiger- You should hear some of what I've dealt with regarding my in-laws. I've told the story before but long story short they are Chinese and we have a significant language barrier even with DH translating. They don't understand simple medical stuff. She did back off quickly this time and I don't know what DH said other than yes we are seeing doctor. They know we've been trying for a couple of years and they know of one m/c which was beyond devastating for them. DH has a brother but he and his wife are not interested in kids. We are their only shot and they are feeling the clock ticking.

Kynlee- Your beta rise is perfect! Can't wait for your u/s.

AFM- My u/s today was long! They did a complete abdominal and pelvic scan to look for anything they could find. I think it was fine. It's always hard to see because my uterus sits funny. According to her it is retroverted and antroflexed. My left ovary was snug up against it so we couldn't see it as well as the right. I have lots of antral cells on the right and a couple on the left which is the same as before. SIS on Wednesday and Dh has SA tomorrow. It feels a bit hectic but is so nice to not be working full time right now while going through it. I'm working very part time, about 6-8 hrs per week at the nursing home helping out the therapist there. I have my sign language lessons twice a week. That along with all these dr appts feels like full time!

I'm pretty sore today after our run yesterday in Vancouver. The seawall is a great place to run. It was overcast and about 60 degrees which is perfect for running. I mapped it today on mapmyrun and calculated 8.4 miles in 2 hrs. My legs hurt  It felt good and I think I'm back in my game. My back injury was a full month setback. I wanted to be further along in my training before stimming, but it is what it is. I won't be doing much running or exercise during stimming. Just walking mostly.

Night night!

Ladies: Did your doc give you the go ahead to work out? mine says only walking and very light exercise until
The second trimester.

I was feeling positive and suddenly As the days get closer to my blood test, I get more anxious! I bought a bunch of pregnancy tests and I feel out of control. I hope I can stay calm, thankfully I have acupuncture tomorrow. I'm just trying to keep myself busy! Nighty night! It's 11:03pm in Los Angeles ;-)

Tortilla- my dr has been very supportive of working out. Ivebeen working out and running for a long time. It seems to be very individual. I wouldn't start anything new or intense, just maintain what you already do. If exercise is new then you should keep it low key. And of course stop if you have bleeding, cramping, or something unusual. Follow your gut.

Kyn- thanks. That's all I have been drinking!!!

Mad-thanks :)

Leorna- yeah that's the plan doing pgd but if things are not going well then they will want me to come in on wed and not do pgd. Last round we had 9 and only 3 were ok, re wanted a 3 day transfer... We went ahead with pgd 1 good, the other two not gen normal. Pgd saved us putting 2 not good ones back, we ended up doing a fresh/Fet trans...one and one

Christy - I'm dreading my 36 Bday in October. Every year it gets worse...I loved LOVED Leora's idea about "Strangers on a train", and I'm a huge Hitchcock fan...can I join? I could easily think of some kind women in my life who meant absolutely no harm over the years! It always annoys me when my SIL is saying terrible things and DH keeps on saying how she's just dumb but doesn't mean harm! Already 2 years ago she said around dinner table with many family members that women of a certain age, "let's say over 32" should just give it up! I'm on for being a stranger on a train :D

Madame x - Wooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats, how wonderful! Enjoy yourself, pamper yourself after all the heartache and hard work, this is you time girl!!!

Kynlee - can't wait to hear about your baby's HB! So strong that will make you relax and enjoy this beautiful time in your life:)

Leora - When is your U/S? I think what I hate most about suppositories, taking estrogen pills and now also blood thinners is again the need to be home on certain hours.

POCOS - My E2 levels before retrieval during the cycle that "worked" for us were over 20000. This time, for 19 eggs E2 was something like 13500. And your Dr. is right, the pain if you do get pregnant is sooooo bad, but so small still when thinking of what you get in return... I trust nutrition because even though I had these E2 levels now, I felt and still feel great. I'm sure it makes a difference.

AFM - 5dp3dt. Not searching the internet, and not completely obsessed. But I would have loved to feel something by now and I don't!
