Waiting Kay and Kynlee: It's never too late! I had Savannah one month shy of turning 39 after trying to conceive for 6 years and numerous fertility treatments. Thank God I went to an IVF doc, who ordered a current hysteropinogram of my Fallopian tubes, from another specialist. Well the results concluded (this is what specialist said) that my left tube was blocked but my right was fine. I took the X-ray back to the IVF doc and he disagreed. He said it looked like water in my tubes (hydrosalpinx) so he scheduled surgery to go in and look to see if in fact it was. It turned out it was and he cauterized my tubes. That way IVF would work. I was so angry I'd spent so much money over the years on treatments that had no chance of working. Just thought I'd share my story! I got Savannah on our third time doing IVF! I hope the first time of IVf works this time around. I'm old, lol! I'm 41-gulp! 8)

I'm on FB - but I don't like to post my name here (since I don't want this showing up if people "google" my name). My last name is E then L then M then A then N - (yes yes, every jokes that he's the L-man and I'm the L-woman)

As for the u/s -- gestational sac measuring a perfect 5w5d and a yolk sac! Yahoooo! Follow up next Wednesday to check for a hb!

YAY!

Sorry, I'm so behind on personals but I promise to get caught up later today. I did want to jump in and congratulate all of the ladies with recent BFP's. Miracles do happen everyday. Also, congratulations to all the ladies starting their meds. You are so close and I'll be praying for your BFP's. And for those ladies who are waiting to start, don't loose sight of your goal. Time flies and you'll be starting soon. I also wanted to congratulate Leora, I am so happy for you!!!

AFM-I'm really starting to feel it now. I am exhausted and I'm wobbling now. Sunday night, I had contractions which kept me up all night. In the morning, I contacted my doctor and they sent me to labor and delivery for monitoring. I had two contractions while I was there so concern however the doctor said that I was dehydrated a bit an he thought that was the reason for the contractions. So drinking lots of water now. I have another u/s this afternoon so we will see what the doctor says.

Keeping you all in my prayers. Sending you all xoxo....

Nicole - I'm sorry about your endo. Does it hurt a lot? They don't want to try to remove some before the IVF? (sorry, I'm really ignorant about endo) - we have also long been my ILs only hope for grandkids (although my husband's only brother is "finally" getting married this summer at age 32 - which for religious Jews is like getting married for the first time at 60! :D ) which has put a lot of pressure on us. It sucks. Especially when it's not our fault.

Tia - my doctors said light working out is fine - just nothing that could risk 'ovarian torsion' (ie, no trampoline, or whatever) and if something felt "not right' to stop and see a doctor. I worked out (30 min intense walking on treadmill) until my ET. I should be working out again now, but I'm a little too worried! How many dpt are you? Tempted to POAS yet?

Lori - I hope you have lots of embryos growing and get to do day 5 PGD! Let us know!

Pocos - Lueveris is LH, which is included in the Menopur you used last time but not in the Gonal F. That's why the RE is adding it. -- there is a lot of bias against IVF - as if it's our fault that we need it. I hate the "just adopt" and the "well, maybe you weren't meant to be a mom" comments. So awful and unthoughtful. I"m sorry your family isn't supportive, that's so hard...

Kay - 36 isn't old! :D And I can give you plenty of names for the 'Strangers on a Train' idea. I have a "friend" who I often babysit for - she told me I'm the best babysitter because I'm so great with kids, but not busy with my own. What an ass... As for the meds, I carry them around with me and take them when it's time to. I don't *need* to be home at any certain time. Just be careful that the suppositories don't melt in the heat! :D

Kynlee - It's not just age that people make stupid comments about. We were told that 'anything more than 3 IVFs is just crazy'... um... yeah. As long as the doctors say there is still hope (and they do!), we are going to keep trying!

Antonia - That would be great if you learned Hebrew! Although, honestly, it's not the most useful language :D Not so many people in the world speak Hebrew. I hope you get the job. B'Hatzlacha! (which means "good luck!") Maybe you could make a business trip here to visit me!

MadameX - new beta today? Just repeat "today I am pregnant and for that, I'm thankful"

Wondercat - I'm so thankful that my OB-GYN at the time (who wasn't even a RE, just a regular GYN) decided to run a semen analysis when I started Clomid "just to see". The fact that I was anovulatory would have meant that most doctors assumed that was our issue and we would have spent a long time with Clomid and timed intercourse before we discovered our BIG problem (DH has unepxlained near azoospermia). Even so, from our IVF diagnosis to our first cycle was a longgggg annoying time of lots and lots and lots of testing.

Cyn - aaaah. Hawaii sounds AMAZING! So glad you had fun!

LauraN - weird that you can't get to the site anymore. Sometimes this site is wonky. Enjoy shooting up the crazy juice!

Christy - Any news on the DH job front? Do people usually start looking so early for something next year? I know that you want this finished with and a new job lined up - but is it possible that people aren't even looking to hire for the 2013-2014 academic year?
