madamex- Great beta, I cant wait to get mine on Monday

Do I figure how many weeks I am by my last period? I am guessing that is how it goes but just wasnt sure... I had A/F on June 15th and the Transfer on the 4th. Any help I am guessing I am 5 weeks today since my 1st beta was on the 13th

and just an FYI, when you go to your OB and they ask when your last period was, go by 2 weeks from your trigger date. Since the iVF drugs take over out system, can't go by actual AF dates. Some OBs dont understand. My ob wasn't convinced of my due date till we had an U/s.

I had the worst time convincing my OB that the date of my last period didn't matter because it was IVF. It was also a pain at the independent u/s clinic I went to for a couple of additional scans. Every time I would patiently explain that the date of my last AF did not matter because it was an IVF pregnancy and I could tell them the exact date of conception practically to the minute. And every time I would get this blank look like "ERROR - DOES NOT COMPUTE - SYSTEM REQUIRES AF DATE!" and they would just mentally reboot ask for the AF date again like if they kept repeating the question I would have not had IVF. I finally had to figure out what date would yield the same due date that my RE gave me so that they would just shut up already about the d*mn AF date.

Wondercat - that is funny. You would think by now they could figure these things out. I am sure you weren't the first IVF patient that they had. It makes me wonder how much my OB really knows about IVF and what it entails.

Thanks Girls checked them both out both say 5 weeks 0 days I am so nervous for Monday, I guess since I really aint feeling pregnant this week wait for a beta is driving me more nuts then the 2ww...

kynlee - Yes, OB would think 2 1/2 weeks, and possibly be very smug about the fact that you are wrong and they are right because they are professionals.

to have fun - I now give all other health care professionals zero credit for knowing even the first thing about IVF. Another funny story, I did my second beta at a local lab since it didn't make much sense for me to drive 1.5 hours just to have blood drawn. I told the girl that I was having a pregnancy test done as part of my IVF cycle. Less than two minutes later she asked me, "Is it a planned pregnancy?" No, honey, all those needles all just slipped in my ass by accident. Woopsie!

wondercat- That is so odd, if Mine even says something Ill hand him my IVF Dr's card SOmetimes these Dr's think they know more then you and half the time they dont have a clue As for that Girl Whoa she must of been having a day "Was this a planned Pregnancy" lol

I never wanted to be sick more then now and I never wanted to see my Weekend fly by lol But Boy I cant wait for Monday

Wondercat - LOL! So true about doctors not knowing the the first thing about IVF. This was a funny story, I should recall some of my own and post them.

Kynlee - Me too, I wish I felt something...but you'll be fine girl! You'll relax so much more after the first U/S. Your beta will be great on Monday!

AFM - very busy days, so at least no time searching the internet for no symptoms lol. I never had them, not even when I was pregnant! But I don't even feel my nipples this time so getting a little nervous. Okay, more than just a little. We so need this to work!

kynlee - At least the weather is supposed to be nice around here, might take your mind off of things more than sitting around in the cold & rain! I'm going to get in as much beach time as I can this weekend before I have to start plastering myself with estrogen patches on Monday!

Ninde I am from Ireland too! Which clinic are you attending???? I did 6 attempts at Hari in Rotunda then changed to Sims and finally got my little miracle Kayla on attempt 7. We are going again for last and final attempt in Sept just waiting to start bcps when AF shows up.

Best of luck to everyone here and so sorry for those with losses or bfns - keep faith i was told to give up after 4th failed attempt they said i would never get pregnant then i got pregnant 3 times in a row..........now praying for the 4th!!

Gi: yay, another irish person!! Im with the merrion. I got pregnant first time but lost ata little under 9 weeks. Second cycle was same drugs but higher - purogon but was a disaster and I bled 7 days after et. Now we are trying menopur and i start nasal spray for down reg tomorrow. I'll be 41 in oct and im sure after our last mtg with clinic that they wont want to do another one if this one fails. Hari were so rude to me - dr mocano told me I could either grow 2 feet in height or lose 2 stones so for fear I would kill him we didnt go with them I thought about simms but to be honest they were kind of irresponsible (in my eyes) with my sister and she ended up losing an ovary. But i cant help thinking they are more progressive with drug treatment? I know you had a successful cycle with the, which is marvelous and other than that how did you find them?

Afm: went to doc to get referral for mri for my hip. I had a construction in my throat or at least felt like that so i asked him to take a look. I've got a the beginnings of a bloody strep throat - seriously!!! I have no idea why I keep picking things up. I start down regulating tomorrow and im now on 10 days of pencillen-based augmentin:( Clinic says antibiotics are fine but has anyone been on them before stimms?

So I'm 10dp3dt and hpt's are coming up negative. I'm so disappointed!!! Beta tomorrow. It I know it's going to be negative unless it's really low, which most likely result in a chemical pregnancy. I was so sure this time would work, ****! Thanks for listening to me vent!
