Quick update for me after my 30 week appt. yesterday. My belly is measuring 42 weeks! During the cervix check u/s we were able to see that both babies are now head down, which means that a VBAC is now a decent option. I'll probably try it if they are still that way at delivery time. If one is breech, though, I'm opting for a c-section. The doctor also noticed that I have a mass in my cervix. She said given my history of uterine polyps it's probably a polyp and can be taken care of during delivery if I deliver vaginally. I get to work from home starting on Monday, thank goodness.

AFM confirmed team blue on Thurs so I guess Paul is gonna have a little best bud to grow up with who is only 16 months younger than he is We are working on the names but can't decide between Nicholas or James. My cervix has gone from 3.5 to 3.2 so I fear I will end up on bedrest again in a few weeks just like last pregnancy...I hope there are no more changes to the cervix in 2 more we weeks at the next ultrasound or I will start to worry...lol

Just a few words....

Kbillsy - your babies are just gorgeous. You are very clever producing three lovely healthy babies. Chelsea will be glad to join the party I'm sure. How long will you stay at the hospital do you think? Do you have good multiple birth support where you are?

Anna - barely starting to show. It's winter here so I can get away with lots of warm baggy clothes. Congrats on Team Blue i'm starting to relax and enjoy the pregnancy and have started doing a bit of planning for the baby in my head. Still a bit scared of the 20 week scan in a week or so. I think any scan will scare me shitless now because of my experience with our previous baby when we walked away from the anatomy scan thinking everything was fine and then I got a call later in the day from my obs on the train n on the way home. Horrible memories!

Babies doing lots and lots of wriggling around which is lovely - so reassuring and such a nice reminder that I'm carrying a wee one inside of me.

Hope everyone is doing well. I feel like I'm really nesting at this point. I've been having a lot if contractions lately soy hospital bag is ready to go just in case. DH and the kids painted the babies' room this weekend. They will finish putting everything together next weekend. They still need to build the two cribs, the changing table, and the glider. I'll probably put the small details together since I really can't help in any other way. I think I have finally picked out the take home outfit for the girls. What fo you ladies think?

Jen: So glad to hear that your little man is here. Best wishes for recovering from the baby blues; do talk to your OB about this, there's people that can help.

kbillsy: WHOA! That's a whole lot of baby you were carrying! I bet you feel great having them here. They are darling!

AFM: I delivered Travis at 38 weeks with a scheduled induction. When I arrived for the induction, I was 3.5cm and contracting so it was more of a labor augmentation than it was an induction. I had a super fast labor - went up 6 cm over 2 hours and he was born in 3 contractions of pushing. Travis was 8lb, 9oz, 20.5 inches, 9/10 APGAR, crying right away and nursing right away.

We're doing great. After about 3 days, I put on pre-pregnancy pants and have no physical limitations. I'm really surprised that I bounced back so fast given how huge I felt. Travis has a bit of jaundice that is clearing up on it's own.

I'm a little sad that this is our Caboose Baby... When I was pregnant, I swore that this was it but now that he's here, I almost want another baby.

Barbara - congratulations on the arrival of not-so-little Travis! I am super duper jealous of your birth experience. So many women have easy second labors but I suspect IF I get to go vaginal I won't be that lucky since my first was a c-section. Did you have an epidural? I bet your hormones are making you miss the pregnancy - see how you are feeling in 6 months about wanting another baby. If you do I say go for it! In the meantime enjoy little T - he sounds like he has the potential of being an easy baby. How does Brooke like him?

Maria - those take home outfits are so pretty! Are they preemie or newborn sized? I'm waiting to pick mine out until after the next growth scan since these little buggers seem to be getting rather large. Also, a heads up about gliders. I've been reading a bunch online written by other twin moms and they don't seem big enough for tandem feedings. If you're not planning on that then you have no worries. We actually just bought a power leather reclining loveseat for the babies' room. Leather for easy spitup cleanup, loveseat to have a place to set a baby while i get the other latched, and power reclining for me!

I'm off for my 20 wk scan on Monday. A bit nervous about it but that's cool. Baby's doing lots of moving around today. Was hard to concentrate on my work when a little one was wriggling around inside. Such a lovely feeling though - a funny combination of weird but very cool.
