Kynlee - my last clinic didn't do u/s prior to 6w3d because that's when most heartbeats can be seen. So don't be too upset if you don't see it yet. I've never heard of the theory of early u/s causing miscarriage. What's the thought behind that? If its the probe, take comfort in the fact that non IVFers have sex during this period and have no issues. Also, I have a friend who is on her 2nd pregnancy after a devastating loss at 27 weeks. This pregnancy (not IVF) her doc wanted to see her early and often so she had her first u/s at 6 weeks. I doubt the doc would have wanted that if there was a risk of m/c involved. I'm sure your u/s will go great!

Kay – Happy Beta Day! I’m going to be refreshing my screen to know the results today! What time is your appt? I’m glad you made it through the weekend! I’m glad the bloating has gone down for you!

Ninde –

Wehavehope – wishing a few more weeks for you! I have a dear friend that is about 33 weeks with Twin Girls right now and she feels the same!

Kynlee – that’s a good idea about calling the nurses. I saw the one I see the most when I was leaving yesterday, and I was going to grab her, but then she went into a room, so I didn’t get to speak with her! Congrats on the awesome beta! Please tell me it gets better over time. Are you less nervous now? That is so awesome about your mom. She was there, watching over you.

Hopethisworks – congrations!! Time goes by so quickly! How are you feeling?

Sunshine – Now that DH has to wait a year, are you thinking about waiting until next year?

Pocos- awesome egg retrieval!! Can’t wait to hear about the fert report!

Alwaysangel - you are so lucky! My clinic doesn’t do Betas on Sunday, so I had to wait an extra day! Are you keeping yourself busy this week?

Madame X – how are you doing?

Cyn – that’s great that you have some time to dedicate to your next cycle. It’s always so stressful to try and fit it in when you have so much travel, so sounds like an awesome plan!

AFM: I’m going crazy! I am so nervous now about having another miscarriage. My last IVF cycle, I had a miscarriage during the first week after 2ww, so that would be tomorrow for this cycle. Mentality, I think I just need to get past this week because of the last cycle. I’m just so upset, because I’ve been so calm and relaxed this whole cycle, which I really think lead me to the BFP, and now I’m all in knots! I thought it would get better after a BFP. Please tell me it gets better! As you can tell, I can’t sleep and my stomach is in knots, which is clearly not good for the pregnancy. Ugh, I am really struggling! I have my 2nd beta tomorrow, which seems like an eternity away and they better call me ASAP tomorrow or I might have a heart attack!

Hi ladies - will post more personals later but I just wanted to reply to Tiger

Tiger: Wow, you really do sound like you have got yourself really in a knot. Thats a really horrible place to be. I don't want in any way to be patronising and I hope I don't come across that way. You had an awful experience with the miscarriage and its really rough. But that was a different pregnancy and it doesn't mean this one will end in the same way. Try and do what you have done so well earlier in your cycle around trying to stay calm. Even when those horribly anxious thoughts come, let them come - and let them go - try not to get hooked into them. I find one of the kind of mantras that helps me is "all is well, all will be well". I'm not sure why but it seems to calm me. You have a beautiful little baby in there and try and tap in to his/her calmness because I can assure you he/she is so happy to be where he/she is. I know its easier said than done but breathe, really breathe in calmness and out worry.

I hope the day isn't too rough on you. Try and go gently

Fertilization report: out of the 19 eggs, 17 were mature but only 6 fertilized :-(

I am sooo sad. All the ones that fertilized were ICSIed. The ones that just had regular IVF didnt fertilize at all.

ITs still double the amount of embryos we had last time...

Hopefully they will continue to grow because I was hoping for a 5 day transfer, but now, I think we'll probably have a 3 day transfer.

Pocos-I know your disappointed, but try to remain positive. I can tell you that in the dnd all the statistics don't really matter. I was looking at the embryo grades, which we all get caught up with when doing our ET, and realized that this pregnancy actualy resulted from the two rmbtyos with the lowest grade or quality. All the embryos with excellent quality ended up with BFN or MC. So you just never know. Just have a little faith. I will be praying for you and that your six embies continue to grow nice and strong.

Pocos- I know your thinking 6 isnt a big number but it only takes one :) Question though, why didnt they icsi them all? DId they just choose certain ones to do that too? I will be praying that all 6 make it and you have a great transfer :)

Wehavehope- You are so right we do have so much to be thankful for, and I thank God everyday for what he has given me, I stayed strong in this Journey knowing I had God to lean on through this rollercoaster I think without him I probably wouldnt have made it as far as I have.. I knew it was in his timing and here I am today so I am truely more blessed. :) I feel so bad for your friends family, life isnt always easier and I think we do take things for Granted and then reading your friends story it wakes you up... I will hold them in my daily prayers, I couldnt imagine what she must be feeling...

kerpupples- Thank you for making me feel 100 times better over the U/S I only read post I never posted on why they thought they miscarried over the U/S but am guessing the probe, my Nurse said it has nothing to do with it for me to not read up on these kind of things to try and relax... So I am going to do just that.. :) After yesterdays beta I feel much better and feel more excited I was very leery the first and second beta cause i never made it this far but little by little Ill let go of the fear... :)

Kay- Good Luck with your beta today :)

Tiger04- I am only at 6 weeks this week, and honestly I am still on pins and needles but after the 3rd beta I am feeling alittle less tense, stay strong girl this is it for us :) I think once I have U/S I will then feel more relaxed and once i hit 12 weeks I will try to just enjoy each moment of this :)

Ninde- You are so sweet always cheering us girls up... Cant wait to cheer you on in your upcoming cycle... :) How is your throat today?

AFM- Woke up today feeling more relaxed Thank you all for being such great friends through this Journey :) I am sure I wont feel safe till I have my little bean in my arms but I am going to try and enjoy each day :)

We have hope & kynlee - Thanks ladies. They ICSIed 10 of my eggs, and 7 used regular IVF. My husband has only 4% of normal sperm, so they had so they used ICSI in some of the eggs. I also have mild Policistic Ovarian Syndrom.

I am happy that we had better results this time, less medication, I am feeling ok (so far no OHSS) but I was hoping for more embryos (at least 10) to have a better chance of a 5 day transfer. But it's all in God's hand now, I am praying that these 6 embryos continue to grow normally.

I nearly lost it waiting for the results. I'm just shocked to say that our 7th attempt worked so far:

Beta 267!

I'm 12 days post ER/ovulation.

We haven't been happy in more than a year now, and even being happy together over the phone (since DH is abroad) is fabulous. We are happy and shocked.

POCOS - this was and is a 3 day transfer.
Kynlee - We are in this together!!!
Tiger - can't wait for your results tomorrow!

I'm just so shocked.

Kay- CONGRATS!!! What awesome news!!! And that is a great number :D

Pocos – I know it is hard but try to stay positive six is still a good number to work with. I just don’t understand why they wouldn’t do ICSI on all of your eggs. Will you get another report tomorrow?

Kynlee- so how far along will you be exactly when you have your u/s?

Tiger – Can’t wait to see some great numbers tomorrow! Good luck :D

Tohavefun – I am really hoping your beta rises and it was just a late implanter.
