kynlee - glad you're feeling better! My doctor said benedryl at night (helps you fall asleep) and Claritin only when the headache/synptoms are severe in the day.

Tiger04 - hoping Friday's blood work comes back great. I did try the accupuncture once but never followed up to do it again.

AFM: Well, I'm 18 weeks pregnant today! My back has been achy the last few days and sometimes I get headaches (but nothing like I had weeks 11-13). It is wierd not seeing doctors as often. My next appointment is in mid August and that is when we are doing the 20 week screening. Praying everything is going well but I just have no idea. Hope I feel the baby move soon, it would definitely put my mind at rest a little

LauraN: we dont use lupron in ireland so im not sure if its the long cycle. Basically I take a nasal spray 4 times a day from day 21 from my last period right to night before trigger to keep varies quiet up to stimms and then it just prevents me ovulating during stimms. Because my period was a little early im on it 19 days before my baseline which is next wed, 8/8. Sounds like your do or's retrieval will be a couple of days before mine which, all being well is week of 20th. How is the estrogen going?

Patricia - I used Menopur for this pregnancy. The Follistim was easier to administer with the dosage pen instead of having to mix, but it's nice that you don't have to refrigerate the Menopur. I think they all have their ups and downs. I don't recall feeling much different on either.

Ker: mine won't be the dosage pen, I think I have to mix 4 vials with 2 of solution for 2 injections. Is that difficult? But that's great you got pregnant on this protocol

Ninde-thanks. Feeling ok, getting uneasy feeling every 2 hours unless I have a cracker. GLad Af as arrived. I used menapur with the previous clinic over a year ago. I don't remember much, sorry. It's not hard to mix.

Afm- as I mentioned earlier beta was 296 progrstrone was 211! Initially I was told that I could stop all prog due to my high levels but then was told to lower to .5cc. Feeling super bloated and tired.

Always – what an amazing second beta! I can’t remember, did you transfer two? With those numbers, I’m betting twins!

Ninde – I used menupur, and it’s super easy. Just remember that the syringe that comes with the needle isn’t the one you need to use for the injection. I was able to switch to a MUCH smaller syringe for the injection and that was awesome!! I didn’t do shiatsu during stims, I just didn’t know about it yet, so I just started this week, but if I would have known about it, I think I would have started before my cycle.

Madame X – Oh my gosh!! Congrats Mama!!! How many weeks are you now?

Hope this works – so very very exciting! Are you going to find out the gender at your 20 week appt?

AFM: Nothing new. I feel like all of you are having U/S before me! I must admit, I’m a little jealous and not sure why my clinic is waiting so long! Geez! Don’t they know I’m totally crazy!!! Ps. Ordered the cupcakes today for my family reveal on Sunday! Did I tell you I decided to just put the due date on each cupcake? I’m pretty excited about it! So interesting to think about how I think everyone will react!

AFM- 1st follie check went well. We measured 10 on the right and 4 on the left. They are all the same size. Estrogen is 126 which is good so no med changes. I had my appt, worked, the had acupuncture. Tired! Nap time till I have to fix dinner.

I'm gonna need to join the FB group. I'll message about that later.

Ninde- Yep, I was on menopur the last 2 times and it's easy. The first time you do it, it feels like you will get it wrong because it's just too easy. I had to mix 1 liquid with 2 of the powder, so I did a little mad scientist stuff, but really, not hard at all. In my opinion, the menopur stung a little, but if you put a little ice on you before the shot, that should do it. And yes, remember that the needle you mix it with is not the same needle you shoot yourself with

AFM- My wonderful nurse emailed me today. My donor went in today and is starting her stimms on Thursday instead of Saturday. I wanted to throw up reading the email- this is actually happening. I have to admit, I have been feeling quite useless, the lupron shots were nothing, no big deal other than them making my feet look huge! I increase my estrogen patches to 3 tomorrow, so watch out world, here I come! I've already been a little bit cranky, so Lord knows what it will be like tomorrow So, that means that her ER could be around the 15th and my ET might be around the 18th....just depends on how long she goes. My nurse said that she had 20 follies in each ovary, so looks like we have 40 to play with....I wonder how many she will get....... her normal is in the mid to upper 20's.

I've got to do some more work(yes, it's 8:30 pm here and I'm still working), so I have to run. Have a nice evening, or morning, or afternoon, whatever fits

Tiger - We found out at week 14 that it is a boy (or the doctor says he's 80% sure, which the nurse tells us means 99% sure )

We weren't even expecting to find out and he just asked if we wante dto know the sex. Surprise Another one for team blue here
