Help!!! FET when did you stop your PIO and Estrace?

I am just trying to get some answers before i go for my u/s tomorrow I will be 61/2wks pregnant and my RE said she will be taking me off all meds when I hit 8weeks... In Reading online most Women are on it til 10-12 weeks... I also read the placenta takes over between 9-12 weeks so I dont know why she would take me off at 8 weeks... I need some reassurance or some info so I can go back to her Weds and tell her I want to stay on it longer if it isnt going to harm me or the baby... What are your thoughts is 8 weeks to early?

My RE wanted me on PIO until 16 weeks, but my OB took me off during a hospitalization for HG at 13 weeks and all was fine. 8 weeks sounds early to me. I would at least let your doc know that you'd like to stay on longer and see what s/he says. My OB thought the PIO was completely unnecessary after confirmed heartbeat, so I guess there are varying opInions on the topic. Good luck at your US and congrats!

I can't remember the estrace but I feel like it was shortly after my bfp??

I appreciate your opinion I will talk to my RE Weds and ask for at least til week 10 or 12... It took me along time ot get her so I want the best odds

Thanks being Pregnant is just as nerve racking as the Journey I thought once I got my BFP I would be past that part but I guess I was wrong

Kynlee - the nerve wracking part doesn't end after delivery either. Some people say it lasts until the kid moves out of the house!

I think with DD I was on progesterone for 10 weeks. This pregnancy my RE wanted me to start tapering at 10 weeks to be completely done at 12, but since I had done 10 previously I started tapering sooner. I know, bad bad patient, but I would have had to order a new box of Endometrin and waste most of it so I just made the call myself.

kerpupples- that is what everyone keeps telling me lol I guess you dont realize the worries till you get here

I am definitely going to talk to my DR cause I think its odd that most women are on it till 10 weeks and then my RE is rushing me off it, 2 more weeks isnt goingt o harm anyone

Ill put pressure on her and see what she says

talked to RE she said if I feel more comfortable to stay on til 10 or 12weeks she is ok with that it wont harm us so she reordered my meds today

Had U/S today heartbeat was 130 so excited that this is becoming so real
