suzyq - I'm sure your relationship with your oldest DD will only get better and better. She's at a tough age, and especially where she is already married I'm sure she's thinking that she is already 100% grown up -- like we all thought at that age, fools that we were. Fortunately I am mature enough now to realize that we are NEVER done "growing up"! :) My mother and I are very close now, I am so lucky to have a mother and sister who are also my best friends. Sucks about the bloating, what do you think is causing it, the Lupron?

Ninde - That workshop sounds great! Do you have a powerpoint of it you can send along? If not I might have to join suzyq and fly over there to attend it. DH and I have also been wanting to visit Ireland. He is half Irish descent which everybody assumes anyway because of his red hair -- but that side all had dark hair and blue eyes, he gets the red hair from his German father! Just shows how wrong stereotyping like that can be. Good news on your follies! Are you triggering tonight?

AFM - We did go to the emergency vet clinic last night and ultimately made the decision to euthanize our beloved Audie. His lungs were leaking air to the point his whole little body was filled with air and he will still gasping for oxygen. The vet there agreed with our vet that it was most likely caused by terminal lung cancer. We could not put him through any further suffering. He was a beautiful, loving cat and we will miss him very much. But it was the right thing to do.

Hi ladie
Suzyq: firstly im so sorry I didnt reply about your daughter, it was in my head and didnt reach my fingers!! Is your daughter married? Im sorry you had words, it must be hard being a mother of a " grown up daughter" because im sure at 18 she has strong views?

Wonder: oh im sorry about your cat :( im big into angels but st francis of assisi loved animals so I'll ask him to look after him. He sounds like an adorable and loyal cat and i know you will miss him. And no im literally only starting on stimms injections tonight - i think the nurse just mentioned the follicles that were already there normally ( and nearly gave me a heart attack!!). I'll send you on the slides when its all done - but it would be so much better if you came - then you would get a pretty folder and nice handouts to take away :D

Afm: another moment of "what?!" earlier! Phoned my regular doctor to get my mri results of my hip. It showed early arthritis (primarily in the hip that has no pain!!!) And he went on to mention 2wo ovarian cysts!! I was like " no, I had an u/s this morning, there cant be cysts"!!! He named the type and said they generally dissolve but im sure he thought I was utterly mad!!

Ninde -You have to look out for those ovarian cysts! I have had a couple burst, one gave me some of the most severe pain I have experienced in my life. Between them and IVF I have seen way, way more of my ovaries than I ever thought I would. Or wanted to, honestly. I have to let you know that at first I accidentally read it that you were going to send me slides of your u/s and I was all, "What the heck...?" LOL!!!! Let me know when the workshop will be & I will look into flights. ;)

Thank you for the prayers. I am also into angels. I'm sure the angels are playing with him using laser pointers in a land of catnip trees, where cat pee smells like fabric softener and fur that is shed magically turns into tunafish flavored bubbles. Here's my beautiful boy:

Lining check tomorrow and then if everything looks good... ONLY ONE WEEK UNTIL MY ET!!! (Not that I'm counting.)

Hi,

wondercat/ninde: read the same that you are going to sent your US slided LOL
I also had an ovarian cysts that burst in January and it hurt - It took a couple of weeks until it was gone but the Doctor said it has no impact on getting pregnant - dont know if that is true.

wondercat: sorry for your cat - it is hard to loose such a trusting animal - I guess she was one of your best to talk to :-)
however I feel the same as you and am glad that you did not put her through more tests and stuff.

susyq: like the word puffy fish - I feel like a fat old horse :-) LOL - those meds are just unbelievable - especially that Lupron. I am soooo glad I am off. It makes you feel so bloated and the headaches are a pain.
Dont worry about DD - that just happenes - if you think back the same happened between your mum and you as well - same like everyone. In the end she loves you too.

AFM: had to come in for an US/bloodwork today again and everything looks fine 8 on the right and 8 on the left. Probably can do the retrieval a day earlier but we will see. I am getting sooo nervous - especially I am afraid that it doesn't work out this time and then I keep telling myself not to think about it because then it will happen. So I just have to distract myself.

I wish everyone a nice day and night

Good evening ladies,

I wasn't going to post tonight, but you inspired me to take the time with your thoughtful words. Thanks a bunch! :) You all confirmed what I already knew, just did not realize. My DD and I are fine. We had a long talk. Both apologized again. She is 21, married, and does think she is all grown up. She really is a great kid. Hated to put her on the plane to go home, but know that is were she needs to be. She called me later and thanked me for being a great mom. ....................... Sorry tears are gushing.

Ninde/Patricia- Thanks for the email address. I will stay in touch. Not sure what I want to see and when, but would love to go to Europe and visit. Not back to live....love being a spoiled American  Sorry to hear about your hip. Hope it will not hold you back in activities. Exercise is key to keeping it healthy. Watch those cysts. My DH's DD just had one burst last week. She hates needles and docs, but went to ER anyway for pain meds. They have got to be bad for her to go to ER. Your happiness workshop sounds very interesting. Years ago after my divorce I vowed to never let anyone still my JOY again and decided happiness is a choice.

Wondercat- Losing a pet is never easy. You will see your fury family member again. I don't think God would send us these amazing creatures to rob us of their love in the after life. I have lab work tomorrow and scheduled ET next Thursday. Crazy we have exact dates together. Sends chills down my spine. Baby vibes are in the air! :D

Kiwi- First love your sign on name. It was the name of my cat growing up and my girls loved it so much when i told them about it they named the cat they had growing up the same thing. Fat old horse------LOL.......love it. I was raised partly in the country in New Mexico and Texas. Put mental images in my mind of a horse we had named Hersey Bar. She was fat and sassy. Congrats on things looking good. Don't stress. I know it is hard not too.

Tawny- Hopefully no more headache episodes.

Okay, I wrote a book. Opps!! Good night all.

Had my scan this morning. Despite bleeding like crazy until I stopped the aspirin, evidently my lining looks good at 8mm with triple stripe. The doctor let a student do the u/s, and while I don't want a rough hand on the wand she was tentatively poking around in there like I was made out of tissue paper! :) We are a go for transfer next Wednesday on the 15th! I was so excited to have taken my last Lupron shot, until I remembered that means tomorrow I have to give myself the first PIO shot. Less excited about that. Also have to start the 4 days of antibiotics and Medrol, and keep up switching out the Vivelle dots. Things are starting to move along!

LESS THAN A WEEK!!!

Patricia- My DD lives in Provo, UT about a thousand miles from me. My mistake, I will transfer the day after Wondercat on the 16.

AFM- Linning looked good and measured 9. Estrogen is a little low so will start Estrace tonight to boost levels. Last Lupron shot on Friday-10 and start Vaginal Progesterone 3x daily and Doxycycline on Saturday-11th. RE will call on 14th with ET time.

Tmiddle- Welcome to the group. This is a great group of ladies to converse with. Congrats on the ten eggs. It only takes one. :D Sounds like you will be the first to transfer out of the group. When I took progesterone with my last cycle I would put it in my bra for about 10 minutes to warm it up before injecting. I did not bruise near as bad. Especially, after I realized I was supposed to change to a smaller needle for injection....6 weeks into the whole thing. All worked out and my DS arrived May 2011. Now we are trying for a sibling to grow up with him. I wish you lots of luck this week. Keep us posted. :D

Good morning Ladies-
I had my first Bravelle/Menopur shot this morning. Getting close to a busy week of ultrasounds and blood work so I'm getting a little excited/nervis today. I don't have my next ultrasound untill Wed and what it sounds like from Woundercat new meds and crap maybe? I don't have any info on what they are going to be doing with me after Wed so that freaks me out a little. What is the POI shot that you are all talking about?
I'm pretty sure I have been doing my Lupron right but she said I will probably need a second kit and I just need to call it in but it's been almost 2 weeks now and I still have like half the Lurpon left and I'm reducing the dosage today so I'm confused if I'll be stoping on wed I don't see myself running out of that med???!!! Probably over paranorma lol
I'm glad to hear that it seems we are all on track and no major hickups so far. Hopefully this is good news for Aug.

Hi ladies:

Suzyq:that's great that all is good. I know they check my estrogen with a blood test but they havnt ever given anything for it.

Middle: welcome :D well done on the 10 eggs :-) how did you have more prior to stimms? I do icsi too but im in ireland and we dont seem to do assisted hatching. We dont do pio either so i cant help on that!!

Tawney: pio shots are progesterone in oil shots (I think).

Wonder cat: how are you?

Afm: im good but tired. I have a day off today and have done very little but last cycle i was crazy busy and this time im trying not to be!!

Ninde - Which shots do you think are making you dizzy? That's not good. I always did mine at night though so it matters less if there are any side-effects. Glad to hear you are taking it easy. So hard to do going through this. Medrol is a steroid that is supposed to theoretically help prevent my body from rejecting the embryo. My RE seems to do a lot of meds compared to some.

suzyq - Same as you, I will learn my exact transfer time on the 14th! They do all their OR procedures during the same time window during the day and won't know until the day before if they are going to also have any retrievals that morning which they do first. I don't know why, but I was so keyed up this morning over starting all the pills & progesterone today. Guess it's kind of like the "beginning of the end" of the cycle. My RE does lots of meds, but doesn't do any blood testing leading up to an FET. I only had to do the two ultrasounds. Hopefully my levels are good anyway! :)

tmiddle - Welcome! Know that the cycles don't really get that much easier, so we are all in the same boat feeling crazy! Ten eggs is a very respectable number to work with. We also had to do ICSI - I presume you are doing a 5 day transfer? With the progesterone, don't put ice on it right away because it thickens the oil so it doesn't disperse as well. Use heat at first, then cold later if it's still sore. I looked pregnant before I even had a transfer for fresh cycles, the swelling and discomfort is totally normal. Your ovaries were working overtime!

Tawny - Wow, that's kind of crazy that you don't know yet what you're doing next? Do you have all your medications yet? For all my cycles I have used a mail-order pharmacy, and they would send me a box o' drugs at the start of my cycle that had EVERYTHING I needed for the entire thing. PIO shots are Progesterone In Oil.

(Aside: To make all you ladies feel good about how tough we and/or our DH's are to give us these shots -- all my cycles I got facial flushing from the progesterone which my RE said was not a normal reaction. Since I have a lot of weird allergies, they had my allergist test to make sure I wasn't allergic to it. One of the nurses told me they were all so relieved when DH gave me the shot because it is so difficult to do that all the nurses were nervous about it!)

AFM - We were supposed to get our security system installed today between 9am and 11am. Company just called to tell me that the technician is running a little late. It's 2:15pm. Talk about getting a newsflash from the land of NO SHIT!

Tawny-It would drive me crazy not to have my whole protocol mapped out for me. I like to know what to expect. I too had all my meds thru mail order. Sure you have been doing the Lupron right. I have had some left over each time. Wondercat is right. No matter if this is your first or who knows what number we all get a little freaked out. It is a huge responsibility we have all taken on on here.

Wondercat- I hear ya about being keyed up. Yesterday when they called with my results and new meds, when to stop Lupron , and start the other stuff I took all the notes down. Then my DS started to cry and i could not rewrite it all into my printed calendar. Luckily DH was home doing yard work and I could pass off the boy. Needed 15 minutes of silence to regroup. If the cable company is late do you get a $ credit? I would ask.

Ninde- Enjoy your day off and take it easy. Find something fun to do to keep your mind busy.

Have a great weekend all.
