Lauren319- Hello! I remember cycling with you! I’m so glad to see that you are preggo and now that we can reconnect!

Kynlee – That’s a great h/b. Do you believe in the boy/girl studies about heart rate? I can tell you what that says you are having!! Only if you want. I completely agree about the progesterone. My RE said I could stop at 7-8 weeks, but I am going to ask to stay on for longer. I know how important it is.

Chris – so glad to see you over here as well! Jacob is adorable and we are so close with our due dates 1 day apart! That’s so great that you were able to get an U/S early…I have to wait forever!

Leora – I just noticed that your due date is my sister’s birthday! How wonderful!

Kala – Hello! So sorry that you are feeling terrible! Hopefully it will stop in a few weeks?

AFM: Okay, I’m officially coming over here, but I hope I’m not jinxing it! I have my first U/S at 7 weeks on 8/14….as you all know because I talk about it every day! Sounds like Leora, Chris, and I have U/S all on the same day! Only 6 more days!

Tiger - welcome to this side I have a scan on Aug 17th, not the 14th. But Chris does - hopefully lots of good news that day!

Kynlee - I wouldn't start buying 'blue' based on that though!

Chris - sooooo excited for you! Hurray!

AFM - forgot how tired being pregnant makes me... I need a nap, but I'm at work for another few hours. I don't have much to do, so maybe I'll leave early to go nap. I need a nap-corner here!

Leora- I wont be buying anything till I get over the hump of 3 mths and then Ill wait for the Dr to reveal what I am having... The HB is all a myth I know people that have had the opposite of what it is so I wouldnt waste money on things that are not for sure And I hear ya i need a nap corner too...

I think i might buy a few things for the baby as soon as i make it out of the first trimester but will keep the receipts. Even though the genetic testing said it was a girl, i don't have 100% confidence that it is correct. not looking forward to buying maternity clothes.. i hated all my maternity pants from my last pregnancy and gave them away.. i knew I was going to try again for a 2nd child but also knew i couldn't bear to wear those pants again.. they drove me nuts were always falling down.. uuggh just my pet peeve. Gonna have to find a new place to shop that has better pants.. I know most gals would love to have this problem so I'll stop bitching.

Tiger - YEY.. we can be u/s buddies.. and Welcome to the sister board. I felt the same way coming over here, like i would jinx it if i posted that i was pregnant.

Lerora -did you get a nap. . I am also tired but don't know if its the pregnancy or being sick or Jake being sick and wearing me out or a combination of all above. I remember last pregnancy i was tired all the time and i would come home ever day after work and take a nap.

Kynlee - for me the myth was correct. Jake's HB was always low, right around 150 but like other said, i wouldn't count on that. Your anatomy scan will be here before you know it and then you can start shopping.

tohavefun- Love the name Kaylee very cute It seems to me its 50/50 on the girl boy hb, so I rather wait then start to get excited over one and then find out IM having the other Ill be happy with either so Im ok to wait plus I am having a revealing part with the family once we find out which is still months away I already cant button my pants so I am starting with the tummy band my friend used them here whole pregnancy and didnt have to buy maternity pants, have you tried those? I got mine at Target.

Kynlee – that’s what I have read too…maybe it’s a BOY! I agree, these things are just for fun  just to speculate 

Leora – Got it! The 17th! How exciting! I agree, I need a nap corner as well. Last night, I left work early because I was so tired, got home and slept from 4:30-7:30 and then up for a few hours and slept through the whole night! Yikes! I had no idea it would be like this!

Chris – that’s a good idea…keep the receipts! Last week, I was on a work trip and went into the little boutique in Boston and they had just the cutest onsies! I was so tempted to buy one and thought I could get a gender neutral one, but it was so early that I thought I better not! I agree, I’m trying to wait through the first trimester and then will buy little things here and there  Haha. I love your story about the pants! Sounds like I could use some advice on that! We are totally U/S buddies!

AFM: this morning I called my regular OB and made about 8 different appointments! My OB is so busy, so I wanted to make sure I had the times I wanted! That was really exciting. I was definitely jumping the gun, but I like to be a planner. Sure hope my U/S goes well next week! Has anyone else scheduled their appointments, or am I totally crazy? I’m sure I am crazy.

Tiger - you are not crazy.. if my OB was hard to get into i would do the same thing. At my OB's office they have 2 midwives and 2 OB's and they switch on and off on who you get. I don't think i see my actual OB till after week 12. So it isn't hard to get an appointment. it Kind of feesl like i am at a baby mill when i am there cus they have so many patients. i thought about getting a new OB but I haven't found one that anyone highly recommends. I also want to stay in the same area as the hospital that i delivered Jake in because i thought they were awesome. So i guess ill just have to deal with my OB.

tiger04- I wish I could make all my appts in one shot, THey gave me a problem with trying to see someone since my Dr is away til Sept, I told them I need to see someone and that is the bottom line so they are having me see one of the other Drs till he gets back As for myths it is fun so the HB myth would be bot and the Chinese myth says Girl so Now its a toss up Check if yours differs when you do the chinese myth...


What is everyone eatingwhile pregnant? There is so many things you cant have that I am starting to get bored of the same things... I am trying to eat healthy but boy is it hard I would much rather be eating cheese curls and eating ice cream lol

Is everyone on a pregnancy meal plan? I been trying to look up everything I eat and it seems like there are alot of No's... I had balsamic Vinegar on my salad a couple nights and when I read up on it its says not good for fetus??? I so need to sit with my OB so he can guide me through this!!! I been a emotional rollercoaster so not me must be the hormones LOL

OB appt went well

Because of the holidays here (Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur and Sukkot), things get crazy in Sept/Oct - so I was strongly encouraged to schedule all my OB appts, my NT scan, and both anatomy scans (here they do two - one at 17 weeks and one at 22 weeks). *gulp* So I did. Now I'm a little nervous I'll have to cancel all these appts....

new OB/MFM was great. He is totally on board with a cerclgae, and took the effort to learn my name without referencing the paperwork. Seemed like a nice guy.

He doesn't want to talk 'bed rest' yet, but says it's likely going to happen.

He said sex is fine for now! Whipppeeee!

I asked about VBAC... he said unlikely, but possible - but we'll have to see how things stand at 37 weeks. He says he doubts I'll go to 40 weeks, and my goal should be 38. This will NOT be a March baby - oh well, February is nice too

Next up is an u/s on Friday, then a follow up OB appt in two weeks from today, and NT scan on Sept 6 (12w6d). If all looks good at the NT scan, we schedule the cerclage.

Leora- I am so happy for you.. Glad you liked your new OB, I go to mine next week hoping all goes well...When would they do the cerclage, do they do that early in pregnancy or a few months before? Im still nervous to have sex lol poor DH but he isnt arguing about it yet cause he knows how I am a nervous nelly

Chris – thanks for reassuring my non-craziness! It’s so funny, because we’ve been trying so long to get pregnant that I didn’t really know what to do once we got pregnant! I had researched so much about IVF and everything that now I need to figure out this pregnancy stuff! Oh, I’m sorry you don’t love your OB, that’s tough, but totally makes sense that you want to be in a certain location for delivery! Please keep the advice coming!!!

Kynlee – At least they are letting you see someone! Geez! I will totally do the myths and let you know based on the HB tomorrow!! Well, I’m having a hard time eating anything because of nausea, so I’m just doing the best I can…pizza...hahaha

Leora – If you don’t mind me asking, what’s a cerclage? Yup, here I am, doubt pregnant woman! So much to learn! So glad that everything is going well for you. I think about you every day!!

AFM: Sorry I was MIA this weekend. OH MY GOSH. I am so tired! I was not expecting this. I think I slept the whole weekend away! Between sleeping and vomiting, I had my hands full! The nausea has picked up significantly…trying to figure out how to best manage it. Trying to keep my stomach full and not let it get empty. I’m going to go to the grocery store tonight and get lots of little snacks like grapes and nectarines, nuts, and crackers that I can keep with me to eat all during the day. I think this will help. I also think I need to wake up at 5:00am and eat, because if I wait until 6:30 I’m too hungry and it gets really really bad…trying to drink enough water. But, I’m just so so very excited about tomorrow!!! I can’t wait! I just don’t know if it’s going to be one or two!!! Any guesses???
