Hi I'm new to this forum. My Doctor in San Antiono says everything is perfect but I'm not getting pregnant.. I don't know what to do or do I start looking for new Ivf doctors.. I had a fresh cycle with two embryos and became pregnant but had miscarriage at 10 weeks then a fet with two grade A 's and none hit.. I just did my last grade A fet Yestarday.I only had one embryo left. I'm scared again that it might not work.. This is so hard.. Please help
Sorry Tinker.. i know its hard. That embryo you put back yesterday could be your baby. Even the best looking embryos are sometimes not genetically normal. If this one doesn't work, you might seek a second opinion. maybe look into immune issues. I don't know your background.. age/diagnosis.. etc. so can't help too much more. Don't give up, IVF can be stressful but when it works it is very rewarding. keep us posted.

Tinker: hi, that's really rough and im sorry for your loss. Have you had any tests around your womb environment, etc? Its very hard but sometimes even with top quality embryos we dont get pregnant and its awful.

Tinker,
I'm sorry to hear about everything you've been through. I had a similar experience. I have moderate endometriosis, but they didn't really know if that's why I couldn't get pregnant. My first IVF nothing took (perfect blasts), then I had an FET that ended in miscarriage. They checked a recurrent pregnancy loss panel which was all fine. My second FET did the trick! My twins are 5 months old! Don't lose hope!

Hi, I was asked if I have kids from a previous marriage and yes I have. I'm 34 and the doctors says he doesn't know why Im not getting pregnant. That I'm fine and nothings wrong with me or him!!'The hard part is my husband doesn't want to try anymore, says it to much for me to go threw I'm
Seeing Dr Neal. I like him and the staff is great. Dr Neal was sure I'd get pregnant on the fresh cycle and wanted just to put one embryo I asked him if next time we do something different,he said probably not. My husband said laughing just R bank accts dropping would be different
Sorry Tinker.. and i had to laugh at your husbands joke.. it does seem like that often the Dr.s don't think about the money we are paying out.. Can you get a 2nd opinion if this one doesn't work? FX'd that this little embie sticks and you don't have to worry about it.

Hi. Thanks for replying. Are you pregnant right now and how many times have you gone threw this..I just wished we knew why it hasn't worked. Im trying to have faith but then again it might not be R time
Hi Tinker - Sorry IVF hasn't worked for you so far. I got much the same answer after my first 2 cycles that ended in BFN: We don't know, everything seemed perfect. Unfortunately it's a 50/50 chance at best, and the odds for each cycle succeeding don't improve the more times you try. You should really take hope from your initial BFP, even though I know it ended in miscarriage. At least it shows that you are able to get pregnant with your current protocol. After all, many natural pregnancies also end in miscarriage that early and women don't even know about it since they aren't testing that early. My RE did change our protocol for our third try, which was the one that worked. I agree that if this cycle doesn't work and your RE is unwilling to change anything it may be time to get another opinion.

tinker - Yes i am currently pregnant but cautiously optimistic.. haven't seen the heartbeat yet. I did 6 cycles of IVF with my eggs, then turned to donor eggs which brought me my little boy last year and this pregnancy is from frozen embryo's from the DE cycle. Most people eventually have success.. it just takes time and unfortunately money. Can also be mentally taxing.

Yes I really hope that my little embryo sticks and works this time. I'm starting to cramp and my back hurts but I'm thinking it's do to me lying down for 48 hrs.. Ivf is a hard thing for anyone to go threw so heart breaking. I pray that anyone going threw this keep the faith.. It's hard but thats all we have somethimes. The clinic I go too is always so busy, that must be a good thing right? It must be working for some. I just ask for prayer for me and my embryo.i see so many women so strong and they just don't give up,that's great. I was talking to my husband about trying again and he thinks that we at least gave it a shot Im thinking the same thing now.I barley made it for this tranfer financially. Prayer please
Tinker, sending good thoughts your way!
I have known several people who have gone through a few cycles in order to get a successful one. Hopefully this will be it for you!
Tinker- I sent you a PM, but think you answered a lot of my questions already. I'm in San Antonio too and I'm at the same clinic. I absolutely love them. As you can see from my signature, I have 2 children from a previous marriage and we are doing IVF for a couple of different reasons now. I'm a bit older than you, but we did genetic testing on the one that I miscarried at 9 weeks and it was honestly a text book case of egg quality issues. We did a total of 3 cycles and now we are on our 4th and final, but we are using donor eggs this time. I wish you luck and if you want to talk, we can always talk through the PM(private messages).

Hi I did try sending a PM but couldn't..I'm sorry to hear its your last.I Really hope that it happens for you.. Is genetic the issue for you?Mine is I cut my tubes and even had them reversed.but who knows what's going on. God has the last word. I'll try sending a PM again.
Well, it's not a genetic issue that we are passing on or anything. It's just that my eggs are no longer a good quality. Actually, if we tried for a long, long time, we would probably be able to get a few good ones, but it would take too many rounds with genetic testing and we just can't afford that. I had my tubes tied when I delivered my now 18 year old and my husband has a low sperm count so they wouldn't untie my tubes. There was no reason I shouldn't be able to get pregnant and carry to term, it's just that my egg quality diminished. Sometimes the quality goes does sooner than we think it should. This is our last "fresh" cycle. If there are ones that freeze from this cycle, we will use them all. Good luck on everything, I know this can be a roller coaster, especially if you, like my husband and I, thought 1 round and BAM, we would be done. We were shocked each and everytime, until this last time, that it didn't work the way we thought it would. God does have the last word and so we can just do what we can do. Again, good luck and keep us posted. When do you go in for your Beta? I'm assuming you go in 1 week to have your estrogen and progesterone levels checked and then in another week for your Beta?
