Ladies - thank you all for the kind words and encouragement. Yesterday we met with the RE and he has a plan for the next cycle (ICSI all the eggs), since we had no fertilization with regular IVF (they did a split cycle IVF/ICSI). The eggs only fertilize with ICSI.

He also asked for more tests (karyotype and a saliva test https://www.counsyl.com/learn/universal-genetic-test/)

Have you guys ever heard about this tests? Are they good? My husband did a DNA fragmentation test and it came back "fair fertilization"... I wonder if there is something wrong with my eggs... but I am only 30... so confused!!

Dys24- spotting is ok it most likely is implantation spotting,... Sunday is almsot here :)

Pocos- I had so many test that I wouldnt know if that was any of them, I got lost at the beginning and now that I have been trying so long I started to understand it all... I believe they can check your eggs to make sure your egg quality is good, maybe you should ask them how that works and if they can do that before you retry... THe more info you no now the better so that all issues are cleared up. Glad you got to sit with RE and look forward to a new cycle :)

Hi ladies

Kynlee:I didnt realize the sizes in the us were different to uk and irish ones!! So a size 8 us is a 12 uk/irish. So i would be a size 12 american which is a 16 british/irish - i mile your sizes better!!

Christy: yes there is a fair amount of time to be put into the adoption process. So far we did the adoption course which was six five hour sessions. Now we are at the stage of meeting the social worker. We have had two two hour meetings and I had a two hour mtg. Ken has his individual mtg next week and then we will have 4 or 5 more two hour meetings, then the social worker will write the report and it goes to the committee. If we are accepted then its about waiting and lots of paperwork. Have you tried using any abundance prayers?

Always: im not sure why you think I. Might have ohs?

Ker: how are you?!

Maria: thanks so much for last night. I hope you got my last skype telling you how kind you are x How are you?

Nicole: supertramp could be the charm :D How are you feeling after retrieval?

Dys: how are you doing now?

Tiger: oh I'll be thinking of you on tue :D

Pocos: I do t know of those tests. Have you had an egg reserve test?

Leora: how are you?

Afm: doing a lot better today. Downloaded the new kenny chesney cd which was good :D

Kynlee - no symptoms are my symptoms too. While it def freaked me out during the first pregnancy, now I just know pregnant me feel much better than me during an IVF cycle. Enjoy this time because it's gorgeous and so well deserved!

Always - we are 6 days apart because I also had a 3dt and it was on July 12th. I magically stopped being bloated a day or 2 before 6 weeks. When's your U/S?

POCOS - I haven't had the saliva test but both DH and I had the karyotype test. It's DNA the lab takes either with a simple BW or a tissue sample from your gums for instance. In the lab the story is a bit more complicated as they match the chromosome pairs to look for abnormalities such as tanslocation. Normally these abnormalities can explain repeated chemical pregnancies because an embryo that has these chromosomal issues normally vanishes quite quickly unlike the more serious issues such as trisomy (18 or 21 for instance) which is when like the name suggests instead of 2 chromosomes, one of the pairs has a third chromosome normally smaller (when it's 3 times # 21 chromosome it accounts for Down Syndrome). I asked myself the question about my eggs but normally the labs tell you pretty fast if they suspect something like that .It doesn't seem probable because of the good fert rate you guys had when using ICSI. Our first batch - fresh and FET was whatever was left what fertilized with ICSI and therefore out of 23 eggs we ended up with pretty few embryos. The next fresh cycle I got pregnant because they knew better what to look for and weren't so "forgiving" about the sperm. Most likely if your FSH is fairly okay the problem isn't your eggs. If there's anything in either yours or DH's karyotype they may suggest you test your next embies with PGD. PGD for no other reason is both expensive and may even reduce the chances because they remove 1 of the embie's cells to check and see how normal it is. They can also make mistakes with only 1 cell sampled. Most chances you'll be fine and all you need is a good embryology with very good ICSI.

Ninde - sorry about your fight with your BFF. I hope you can find a way to laugh about it. Sometimes just having a friend you can fight with is great because it takes a real friendship to be able to fight then get back to normal. I'm lucky I still have a husband after some of the things I found myself saying "under the influence" :D

Dys - both times I got pregnant it was with a 3dt. It has its benefits really, like you depend less on lab conditions - remember no environment is better suited for your embies than you.

AFM - Next U/S is on the 22nd. We still feel like we're living a dream.

hi ladies

Bit of advice? I was injecting earlier and because im on 450ius of menopur I have to make up two objections. Anyway I depressed the syringe by mistake and lost some of the fluid in the first injection. Instead of getting 450ius I think I got about 340ius instead. Its only day 3 of stimms - could it be a real problem do you think?

Ninde - I absolutely recall RE telling us when we started stims for the first time that if we inject too little or too much we must tell him and leave it up to him to make it right with the amount. Is there any place you can call now even though it's night time in Ireland? Menopour is a pain. The pen is easier but many ppl claim Menopour gives better quality eggs. hope I don't stress you, just think it's the best with this things.

Patricia, definitely tell the dr. Hopefully it won't end up being a big deal.

Transfer is in the morning. I'm nervous and excited. I got my hair done today so that I won't have to worry about my color for a long time. Dh threw a fit about it. I'm not pg yet! Ugh. I'm still pretty crampy from retrieval. It was harsh this time. I think the bleeding finally stopped this afternoon.

Dys: im probably useless to you because i only poas'd after I got my bfp. I do remembers other ladies having the same thing as you though and still getting a bfp. I think the hpts can all be different?

Nicole: thanks. And the best of luck tomorrow :D

Afm: clinic called. Said not to worry over the course of 14 or so nights it should be fine but on no account was I to make up an injection of what i thought I had lost.

Good to know, Patricia.

Dys, don't fret. I'm sure your beta will be positive!

We transferred two eight cell embies today. I'll try to post the pic.

Nicole- Smart idea to do your hair day before ET I wish I did... Congrats PUPO :)

Ninde- glad your Re got back to you, its always safer to call them on those kind of things cause every RE is different :) But you have plenty more days to stim so they will just up you if they feel you need more ;)

Alwaysangel- Great beta, my place only does 3 you are so lucky!!! As for symptoms I have none and I am 8w1d I guess I should just enjoy that I am not throwing up...

Here they are. The embryologist said they were good quality 8 cell. The other 4 are not as good. She said we will just have to wait and see if we have any left to freeze. Total bummer if not! I'm going to stay positive and say they will continue to grow.

Always- Great beta. I'm sure the nausea is getting intense now that your beta has risen so much!

Kynlee- Yeah, I definitely wanted to get it done before transfer. Too bad my dh has been such an ass about it. He didn't think I should do it at all. Totally unreasonable. He is finally deciding to be a bit more normal.

My beta will be August 23.
