What a blast from the past! We're starting up this road again, and I was wondering if any of the same people would be on here, and it's all the people I cycled with back in 2009! Great to see all of you, hope you're doing well! I just started a September board. Wish me luck, no, Pray for me!

BRMommy - Hi! I do remember you! How have you been? I hope that all has been well and that your DD is amazing and that motherhood is everything you'd hoped it would be. I cant believe that the time has passed so quickly either. I wish you tons of good luck for your try at a sibling. Hoping that it happens for you on the first try  If you've read this thread then you already know that it hasnt been as easy for me to give my DS a sibling, but I'm giving it one last try..

Gi - Great that you're moving right along! First it seems like it takes forever to finally get going on your schedule then all of a sudden it starts moving so quickly, doesnt it? Awesome that Kayla is talking so well! I really cant wait for Ryan to get more interested in talking, he understands everything you say, but as far as using words we're still waiting, he's only got maybe 7 or so that he uses often. I took the Ped's advice and got him started with early intervention and we'll be having a speech therapist start seeing him next week. I've heard from many people that boys develop slower, but only 7 words at 21 months scared me, so hopefully the speech therapist can get him talking my ear off, lol.
I finally got AF on Sunday, so I started BCPs today - and here we go.. I should get my schedule sometime this week - eek!
Good Luck to us all - xoxo

Katie - YEY for getting a schedule.. it will be no time and you will be in the 2ww again.

Gi - Glad you are going now.. first u/s on the 27th. How many are you going to transfer?

BRMommy - Welcome back!! i remember you too..

AFM - DH has decided that he does want to donate or remaining embryos.. I have a family member i am going to ask if they want them but have no idea if they are interested.. if they don't then guess i have to figure out what to do with them.. some way i would like to give them to someone that is on one of my IVF boards. Kind of feels weird to give them to total strangers (eventhough I only know IVF gals in internet land). We will see what happens. I won't be donating till next spring.

Franny, congrats on becoming a Godparent! I'm not sure what is involved, but it sounds very special. :)

Katie and Gi - glad you'll be going thru this craziness with me. I always have this nagging feeling like it's not the right time (too much going on, etc), but if not now then when? Fingers and toes crossed that we all have a good embie thaw...

Chris - wow, that is great you'll be donating your embies! Does your clinic handle this?

AFM, just trying to stay unstressed as a I transition to a new project at work. My baseline appointment to start meds is next Wednesday (depending on when AF arrives) and my FET date is Sept 17. Assuming all goes well, my first beta would be on Sept 27th...the day before I travel down to my best friends wedding for the weekend. No pressure, no stress here.

Hi everyone -

Well I guess I'll be the slowpoke of this thread, lol. They gave me my schedule and my FET isnt until Oct 12th. Thanks to AF skipping July, my RE's vacation time, the nurse asked me today if I wanted to starrt right now - as in go for an u/s today, and if my ovaries lokked quiet then start estrace right away - I had a panicky moment and thought that with this being the last chance at a BFP the last thing I want to do is change things that have worked before. Plus they always forget the time difference and she said she needed me to go for an u/s like right now, ummm, first off where they send me is a satellite office for monitoring only and they're only open from 6am - 9am - she called at noon my time and was wanting me to go now??? Even if I had child care ( which I dont) did she forget that to have someone elses clinic see you for monitoring that they have to send the order, then the clinic calls me to set a day/time. I wasnt planning on waiting until Oct, but it didnt feel right to change the schedule thats given me great linings for the last 2 tries, you know?

Libby - I'm right there with you in wondering if theres too much going on right now, but as you said, then when would be a good time? I'll keep my fingers crossed for your baseline next Wed - this is your time mama! Good Luck honey! - xoxo

Chris - Good for you & DH! you should definitely wait until next spring just to not jinx anything, yes I know I'm silly like that - but only on ivf things and I swear I didnt think like this until ivf took over my life, lol. You have to feel comfortable with who you choose and I'm sure that you'll find someone that you feel a connection with. You have plenty of time to make sure that you have chosen the right recipient. Its the gift that will change someone's life. Bravo honey for being so selfless! Its like only once you've gone through ivf turmoil can you actually understand how much bfns tear our hearts out. And you know this is a subject I hold close to my heart, if some other couple hadnt have made the same generous decision I wouldnt have my Ryan, also known as my whole world, lol. - xoxo

Katie - YEY for finally getting a schedule but wow did they have to wait that long.. Ya know you are a special case and if you want to transfer that RE shouldn't take a vacation.. LOL!!! Least you have another month or so to keep your sanity before taking the real drugs. So what's the new plan.. i know you are taking metformin. Are they going to thaw what you have left and transfer the best?

Chris - Argh! my FET just got pushed back 1 week - now its on Oct 19th.. boy that does seem really far away. Since the RE's plan to try this Neupogen infusion it has to be done 5 or 6 days before the FET, so that means I have to be in Nev. for a whole week this time. My DH's schedule has a big week of double overtime in early Oct, so to not miss that we had to push it back one week. Which means that my poor hubby is going to have crazy overtime hours then have Ryan all by himself for a whole week while I get to sit in a hotel room on the other side of the country, fun, yes? Pretty much I'll need to leave on a Sat, go get this Neupogen infusion early Sun - and then sit and wait until Fri to get the transfer done and come back the next day. Hmm, no wonder I'm not really looking forward to this, huh? I keep looking for info on this Neupogen infusion, and cant find anything, I find some info on an HCG infusion, but nothing on this. The RE said that its considered experimental, but has tried it on 7 women with unexplained implantation failure and 6 were successful. Oh, I sure love that lab rat feeling. And yes the plan is to thaw all 5 and hopefully by day 5 there are 2 good blasts to transfer. You know IVF has done damage to you when you get a stomachache and the mere mention of schedule, appts, or transfer. Of course I want it to work, but the only thing I feel peaceful about it knowing this will be the end of ivf for us.

Katie,

Glad you got a schedule, but I understand it seems really far away right now. I am sure your dh will do fine with Ryan while you are lounging in the hotel. Make sure you get a hotel with a pool or something to do, otherwise a week will seem like eternity. Will continue to stalk you honey, want to see you get to get a sib for your precious Ryan! :P

Chris,

The decision to donate your embies is AWESOME. You will give another couple hope and a chance to be parents. That is about the most selfless, wonderful decision. Bless you girl!

gi,

Your cycle will be here before you know it. Good luck and will stalk you too!

Franny,

Hope you are doing ok. I think of you often. (((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))

afm, WOW its weird logging back into this world that is consumed by Ultrasounds, follie checks, bloodwork etc etc etc. I am so far removed from it now, its hard to really remember all the time, tears and effort that went into getting pg. I have all my fingers and toes crossed for my IVF sisters to have their dreams come true.

Disney trip in 1 week, really excited about it. Off to see my trainer, who has said he is gonna kick my butt :D Really excited about that too (wierd I know).

Rhonda - Yey for Disney, sounds like fun. I would think it is weird coming back to the boards. Heck it is a little weird for me when people are talking about follistim and menopure and follicle counts. I haven't done an IVF cycle with my eggs in over 2 years. i can't believe it has been that long.

Katie - Breath in.. breath out.. LOL!! I was the same way with the schedule and appointments, i put everything off till the last minutes cus i didn't even want to think about all of it. Doing a cycle can be consuming mentally and physically. Is there anyway you could take Ryan with you? I know for your appointments it would be a pain but the nurses could help out. This way you wouldn't feel guilty for your hubby and you wouldn't miss your little boy either. Plus he would give you something to do in the time you wait. Just and idea. He is under 2 so most airlines would let him fly for free. (I think) I know it would be a lot of work. Sorry you got pushed off another week but heck what's a week.

Wow, this thread was so far down the page I had a hard time finding it, lol. I guess we are all too busy to write lately.
I hope that you are all doing well and that we can post when we get the chance, I do love having you all to talk to, as usual only you all understand all the complex emotions that go with cycling. As much as I'd like to I think bringing Ryan would be really stressful. I'm not joking when I say he is a handful! He just never stops moving - ever! The idea of a 10 hr travel day including a small layover feels like it would mean toddler meltdown city! Speaking of, has anyone moved them into a toddler bed yet? I caught him in time yesterday as he was leaning so far over the crib rail another minute and he would have hit the floor head first - eek, I'm not ready for him to be loose all night yet, whew, the idea of that sounds like me never sleeping again, lol. Ahhh, I've got to go since you know who is trashing the house right now - and who doesnt love the terrible twos? Much love and luck to us all - xoxo

Katie, my toddler is a climber too. I had my husband add a board to increase the height of the crib side, to buy us more Time in the crib. Alternatively, if you have one of those cribs where the back side is higher than the front side, just turn it around and have the higher side facing out rather than against the wall.

Just checking, how is everyone doing?

Rhonda - How was Disney?

Franny - I know your not checking in much but always thinking about you.

Katie - Do you have all your travel plans set for your fet?

libby - What's new with you?

AFM, nothing exciting. went for my first OB appointment and of course they have my dates all screwed up. I have an u/s on the 24th, can't wait to see my bean again. Still wearing regular clothes, not looking forward to switching to maternity crap but i guess if that is the worst of things, i can take it. Jake is getting huge, and is all over the place. i love that boy. LOL!!

Seems like forever since I last posted - life just took over!

Chris - glad to hear your little bean is doing well - the 24th isn't *that* far away! How big is Jake now?

Katie - sorry to hear they moved your date again - hopefully this is the last time. And no, we haven't moved to the toddler bed yet. James isn't nearly as interested in climbing out as Ryan seems to be. He has taken naps on the big boy bed. I will probably either close his bedroom door or put a gate on the door so he's confined to his room once we do make the switch.

Ronda - hope your fab Disney vacation is going well! Seems like a bunch of people I know are going to Disney right about now.

gi - how is everything going? are you PUPO yet?

franny - thinking of you.

AFM, I had my baseline appt and everything went well. I started my PIO a few days ago and my FET is scheduled for the 17th (this Monday - eek!). So weird to think I will be PUPO in a couple days. Life has been otherwise very busy, so I haven't had time to dwell on it all. Maybe for the best... These IM shots are going to get old real quick - not looking forward to doing this for a couple months if the embies stick...I guess like anything I'll get used to it. I haven't done any IM myself - DH does them. Do you ladies have any tricks or tips for doing the IM yourself? I am a little nervous to stick that needle in my backside.
