Ninde- I'm glad they have 3 eggs and 2 fertalized thats better than 2 and 1. Good luck tomorrow with your transfer. Again I'm praying and hoping for the best for you and your family. I've been stimming with 2 Bravelle and 1 menopur in the mornings and 10 units of Lupron at night. Except yesturday she had me do no Bravelle and 3 menopur.

Am I the last one on here doing retrieval? Had a great apointment this morning. 14 on rt and 4 on left only 2 that measure 15 the others measure 17-20. She is pretty sure I will be triggering tonight and ER on Turs morning. But she says I do now have the risk of Ovarian Hyperstimulation, she said not to freak out about it though. Probably going to do a 5 day transfer on Tues. She will call me with a confirmation later today when she talkes to Dr. J.

Tawny - Even before I saw this last post I was going to bring up OHSS, because of how they wanted you to come in the next day. That's how they were with me my first cycle when I was close to OHSS. I had to go in every day for a solid week, which if it makes you feel any better was a 2 hour drive to arrive for a 7:15am scan then drive 2 hours back and go to work, plus the expense of a co-pay and parking garage each time. I know how you feel, my veins were trashed too and my hooha felt like Grand Central! LOL Remember it's all worth it in the end!

Ninde - Woohoo on 3 eggs, with 2 fertilized!! I am guessing that 2 is all you would have put in anyway? Praying as hard as I ever can for you, and will be thinking of you tomorrow.

AFM - I think the hormones are really just taking their toll on me this time around. I am (hard to believe!) normally somebody who handles stress with humor and decisive action. 5 years ago DH was recruited for a job that we moved across the state for, and 3 months in they let him go! By the time he got home I had updated his resume and printed out a list of open jobs, he had an interview set up within an hour, and started his new job 3 days later. No sweat. But right now, I am absolutely freaking out because I can't sell our old bedroom furniture. Logically I know this isn't a big deal; I paid $250 for 12 years ago, so even if I just end up donating it we got our money's worth out of it. But clearly logic is not helping me right now!

Woundercat-- I love that Grand Central quote  My DH was just telling my cousin that there has probably been more ppl in my hooha in the past year than men that I have slept with and thats pretty true. There is no way I could do the 2 hr drive I bought fall asleep on my way there now!! I don't get if I was so busy in there yesturday and close to OHSS needing to come intoday why they didn't schedule ER tomorrow. Oh well it's ganna happen Thurs and that makes me happy. She said there are chances of it but hopfully we don't get to that point. Hopefully you sell your furniture soon.

This is unbelievable, but I checked my e-mail right after posting that and there was a message from somebody interested in looking at the furniture -- after nothing for two weeks! Fingers crossed... :)

Wondercat: thank you so much. I think they would have gone for 3 if there had been three because of my age and previous quality issues. Im really hoping they make it overnight and for transfer at 12.30 tomorrow. Loved your hooha comment too!! Having three nurses down there last tue I felt like a bloody voyeur!!! Well done on the furniture. And dear god woman I'll bet last time with your dh you wernt contending with your super-charged hormones?!

Tawny: if your veins are really feeling it, ask the clinic to submerge your arms in a basin of warm water - my sister had chemo some years ago and had absolutely no veins left and that's the only way they could get a vein. On the possible ohs - I hope it doesn't happen but definately drink a lot. Our clinic says water but I know the clinics in the US say gatirade. Also salty foods and protein. What are you triggering with?

Ninde- I was thinking about the whole lots of drinking thing. I hate water seriously I think it's poison to my body and that was part of my lecture last Fri that I really need to be watering my eggs I need more water. The papers that she sent me home with about OHSS says drink lots of water and is helpfull to have 1 or 2 glasses of v8 or Gatorade per day. What confuses me is the whole thing is that your leaking water into your body why would I want to give it more water to leak???
I am triggering with Ovidril. I used the same thing for my IUI's.

Tawny: 1 or two glasses? I was told 3 litres of water!!! Seriously you need to drink - particularly with ohss because you will dehydrate. Apparently fluid leaks into the abdomen and chest and i think that's what causes the dehydration. Drink!!

Just got a call 2 Ovidrils tonight at 7 and ER on Thurs at 8 Indiana time. Getting a little nervous and excited at the same time. :D
Ninde- Oh I'm drinking I really don't want any problems I'm trying to drink as much water as I can. The paper doesn't say how much water just to try to get in a cup or two of V8 or gatorade.
tmiddle- thanks for the advice about lots of water the night before.

May sound funny but I have to ask will they make me take a prego test when I get there for transfer? They made me for my other procedure in Jan they said they wont go in there with out making absolute sure I'm not prego and it's hard to pee in a cup when I havn't had anything to drink for several hours. And is it really uncomfertable? They said I will be partially out of it during the procedure.

TMiddle: I remember the horniness in my first ivf - not fun!! Im better with the uncontrollable rage :D that's fantastic about the bfp :D and i wish you all the luck in the world for fri

Tawny: they havnt ever made me take a test in advance but maybe clinics are different. I havnt ever found the procedure painful because although its not full anaestetia its very very heavy sedation. Let me pass on a tip from my twin sister who had multiple ivfs - tell them you can feel quite sick after procedures so ask for more anti nausea meds and also when you come to and they ask you what your pain level is - exaggerate so they give you more pain meds. My new top two tips :D

Tawny - I don't remember about if I had to do a pregnancy test before the extraction, but definitely not before the transfer. They want a full bladder for that. Mine was so horribly uncomfortably full. I made the mistake of drinking as much as the nurse told me to (32 oz!) and since I am a size 0 with a correspondingly small bladder. I thought I was going to cry. The nurse let me go pee for ONLY the count of 5 then stop. Oh. My. God. Have you ever had to do that?? It is so difficult and uncomfortable! I was totally out for my extraction. Definitely the way to go! :)

Hi Tawny - the transfer is very easy - it usually is uncomfortable but it doesnt hurt. I had to take 2 Aleve and 1 Valium which made me a little light headed but thats it. the cool thing is that you can follow on the US where they let the eggs go - and that's exiting :-)

Tmiddle- YAH!!!!!!!! Congrats on the BFP. Cannot wait to hear the beta results on Friday. Not sure about the warrior, more like chicken...lol.

Ninde-Glad you have the two for transfer. That is great news. Good luck and heartfelt prayers for you. Relaxation tapes sound like a plan.

Kiwi-How are you holding up?

Tawny- Never heard of a PT before. Awaiting your retrieval results on Thursday! The water is a must. I am sure things will go fine and you can join us in the stress of the 2WW.

Wondercat- So have you got that double line yet? As for the crabbiness sounds like you need a nap as my DH says

AFM: I have had many naps. (time out really, way too crabby) Actually, been busy baking bread for an activity tomorrow where I get to teach 14 8-11 year olds to bake bread. Also, will go to a Mariners came at noon and teach the class at 6pm. Thursday-court, Friday-Family coming in for the weekend, and Saturday a BBQ and zoo trip with my IVF clinic. They are having a big celebration for all their patients. Hoping to get BFP call while there. If I keep busy my mind does not have a chance to worry.

Suzyq: naps are good and you deserve them. Your clinic has days for clients?!

AFM: Just back from transfer. Two stellar embryos went back, one grade 1 and one high grade 2!! Thank u for your prayers x I've never had a grade 1 before and to get 2 embryos from 2 fertiled eggs is amazing. Going home to bed now and off for next week but don't think I'll be in bed every day. What did you ladies do?
