Cristie - Definitely praying for you. Why are you going to court, if you don't mind my asking? Cordelia is not a family name, I think my parents just liked it!

Hey ladies I just got home from retrieval. He got 9 eggs and picked his 2 favorites now we just wait and cross our fingers. We didn't freeze the others because of money. I'm just hoping we don't regret that decision. Dh has such a hard time seeing me in a hospital bed Dr. J was laughing and asked me what he was going to do in the delivery room I'm a little crampy my lower back on the right side hurts the most. I guess my iv missed or something because my sleepy meds went right into the arm and puffed up they had to do a diff iv so hanging out with a heating pad on it. K ganna go take a nap now. Thanx for all the good luck's!!!!
Btw my real name it Tonya but family calls me tawny so it doesn't matter what you call me.

Hey ladies everyone seems to be moving right along. I am really happy for all of the positive posts this week. Suzy has made me hungry at the thought of fresh bread. I hope everything continues to go well for yo
u guys. Christie im prayin gor you.
Tawny... yeeeeah congrats!! The worst is over. Happy fertlizing.
tawny - awesome result - wish you the best and realx. hope the cramping goes away asap.
Cordelia - awesome sunset - that's just so wonderful - must be a great location.
AFM DH said we should POAS on the weekend - still not sure - I am so excited. My colleague asks me if I feel pregnant - but how cna I know - might be all the meds
Annette - I have been so stressed by POAS this cycle, mostly influenced by hearing other people say they got BFP's on HPT's at crazy early times like 9dpo! I finally hunted through my old posts from my 2009 successful cycle and discovered that I did not POAS until the equivalent of today (13dpo) that time, and all I got was a very, very faint line that disappeared after a few hours. My numbers from that cycle were also about half what the betabase averages are. Supposedly FET's are lower/slower, so... I should probably just avoid and wait for my beta Monday morning, but I know I won't!
Tawny - Whoa, they will only try to fertilize 2 eggs?? Or do you mean that they will fertilize all but only keep the top 2 contenders?

Tonya: oh well done that's great. How are you now? How much does your clinic charge for storage?
Tamika: please dont talk bread - i think im hungry all the time!!
Annette: ooh poas!! How many days will you be on sat?
Christie: that sounds brilliant what you do with the girls. How did court go?
Cordelia: I know what you mean, its really stressful when the hpts are positive so early.dont do it if its going to stress you further - from what you have said your results are probably far more the norm but still that wont stop your head getting g melted if you poas early and dont get a bfp x
Brmommy: how are you doing?
Afm: just wo dering - how much do your meds cost in the US? We only pay €132 in ireland because the government pay the rest but I found the receipt for my meds which were: 3 bottles of down reg nasal spray, 84 units of menopur (75ius each) and 30 cyclogest (400mgs each). The grand total was €3,200!!!!

Patricia - Not sure what the meds would cost. My health insurance covers IVF (something that I generally feel to guilty to mention around here) so I just get co-pays for the meds. I think for this cycle it came out to something like $85? But that is just an FET. If I remember correctly the fresh cycle was more like $250. I can't even imagine having to pay for this out of pocket.

Cordelia: that's really great about your insurance. Ivf is deemed elective in Ireland so nothing covers it. My cycle costs €5,000 each cycle but at least the meds are nearly all covered

We have spent about 3k in meds my insurance covered up to 10k it depends on how long you stim walgreens specialty pharmacy has some really good deals
@
Lucky ladies! My meds alone were US $5200 or so, and the procedure is $10,100. Our insurance covered up to $15K lifetime max, which we pretty much wore out with our IVF #1 (BFN), and FET #1 (BFP). Have a little left, but it's just about out. We also put about $4K in our Health Savings Account so at least it's spread over paychecks.
I just did day 3 of stims. Not really noticing anything different, but go in for bloodwork tomorrow to check E2 levels.
It is me, or does this board have exceptionally high success rates! I think it's because of the support. Hoping to join you in 2 weeks! (By the way, I told my husband that if this works, according to how you measure a pregnancy, I'm already 4 days pregnant, hehe).

Next: Work on improving DH and my fertility while saving up for next round. Why does something that we want so badly have to also be so expensive?
Good Evening Ladies,
Tawny- Congrats on the retrieval of 10 eggs. Awaiting the fertilization report and transfer date. Good luck on both.Sorry to hear about your arm. Take it easy the next few days.
Patricia- Is transfer tomorrow? You are in my prayers.
Tamika- Thank you for the prayers.
Annette- I am always afraid all the symptoms are in my head. Hard to tell the difference between that and the meds.
Cordelia- So how many days later should you test when it is a FET?
AFM- Thank you to all for your prayers. I walked into court today over whelmed with peace. My daughter said I was the calmest she has see me in a long time. A year ago this month my youngest DD was in a terrible accident. She lost control of her car on a narrow sharp curve and hit an oncoming car. The victim was air lifted out and almost died. It was a nightmare from hell. When the man was tested at the hospital, he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol. His car was unregistered and had no insurance. The man recovered, but has harassed us ever since. He settled with our insurance finally. Today, we went to the final hearing where the judge could have imposed more restitution on us, this man wanted more money from us. Insurance covered everything. We were only in court minutes today. The judge immediately dismissed all his claims and said my daughter would not be held liable for anything else. What a blessing. It is finally over.
IVF Coast- Fresh cycle was about $11,000. Meds were $500. FET was $3075 and meds $300. Insurance only covered infertility testing and procedures my clinic could pass off as treatment including IUIs. Insurance covered part of meds through Walgreen's specialty pharmacy as well.

Tamika: it really is a very different system in the states, the costs seem to vary hugely. In general icsi in ireland is €5k which is about US Dollars 7,500. There are a couple of higher tech ivf procedures cost more but it is a fairly standard cost. I wonder why its higher in different regions of the US?
Brmommy: lol, did your dh look at you strangely?
Christie: I'll blame it on your drugs - my transfer was wed that's a wonderful result from what must have been a hugely stressful year. Your daughter must be so relieved? Again, I cant get over the difference in cost throughout the States.
Annette: how are you today?
Tonya: did you sleep?

OMG I'm so excited this morning. The lab called the 2 they kept fertalized and will be ready for transfer Sunday!!!! I was so nervous that we didn't play our cards right with just the 2.
Woundercat- They only kept 2 out of the 9 and threw the others way hoping for the best with the 2. Which worked!!!
Ninde- I don't know the exact price but it was ganna be a few hundred dollars so we chose not to freeze and take our chances.
I slept so much yesturday. My arm is alot better kept a heating pad on it for the majority of the day yesturday. I am at work today but probably only half day still a little sore but moving feels better than lying on the couch it hurt more trying to stand up and walk around once I got stiff on the couch. DH is pissed that I can to work today though.
Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers yesturday they really paid off so far. Sorry I havn't quite got real names down yet.

Patricia- Wow! Can't believe I goofed that up. I knew you transferred. Your right a combination of drugs and stress. How are you feeling? As for the cost, I live in an area where everything is more expensive. Plus, a 120 Ireland s could fit into the US which vastly effects our economy from one side of the nation to the other.

Tonya- That is fantastic news about your embryos. I am excited for you. I have never heard of throwing eggs away without even trying to fertilize them. Sounds like your doc has a good eye for choosing. Glad to hear your feeling better. Take it easy at work.
Cordelia- It was great to put a face with your name. You have a beautiful family.
AFM- Went to dinner to celebrate last night. Looking forward to the weekend. DH's Family comes in today that I have never met to stay with us 5 days. They will be staying in our apt so at least I will not be living with them. Excited to get to know them. Blood test tomorrow so 24 hours away! Having lighting like pains in groin, if I remember right this is a good sign.
TGIF to everyone. Enjoy what is left of summer.
