Just got the call I was expecting, that this cycle was a BFN. Good news is that while we planned to take Friday off for our 10 year anniversary, DH couldn't get it off so last minute this morning we both arranged to get Wednesday off -- and my RE has a cancellation for Wednesday afternoon so we can do our follow-up appointment immediately. Otherwise we would have had to wait until November!! We are hoping to do another cycle immediately with our 2 remaining frosties. I am wondering though since it was clear from the start that our "A team" frosties didn't thaw well, what chance will the "B team" have?

Wonder - I'm so sorry about your BFN. I know the feeling all too well unfortunately. Happy 10 years'!!! I think it's best for you to have the follow up, even if on the same day you have off work so you can hear with him about starting with team B! I have seen cases that batches of BFN from fresh and first round FET got a BFP on FET round 2. I know it sounds lame but for us keeping our spirits up made a big difference (which I'm sure you know since you have been successful before!!!)
Hugs and positive vibes to you.

Thank you everybody for the sympathy and well-wishes! Believe me, I know that I am already blessed to have my DS. There is a big difference between this BFN and the 2 I experienced before he was born. My biggest wish is for a BFP for those of you who have not yet had yours.

Ryann - You're pregnant??? Did I miss something? Congrats!

For our anniversary we have decided to make a trip to Ikea and get new furniture for our spare room, which is currently a hot mess of old furniture packed in so densely it's useless. We have an armoire, 2 dressers, 2 night stands, a huge cedar chest, a glider, a crib filled with junk, and a changing table all in a 12x12 room! Yikes!! Going to set it up as a guest bedroom, in the hopes that reverse psychology works on Team B. Four years ago when we moved in I painted the smallest room pink and set it up as a sewing room for myself, all of which work had to be undone 8 months later when we spotted the extra appendage on the u/s! :)

Ryann, whoa! So exciting! Congrats!

Wondercat: That is so how I feel too. I really, really would love another baby, but I also have a peace and acceptance about whatever God gives me, because I know how blessed I am with my DD. This is crazy (and lucky), but these IVF meds are making me really emotional - but in a good way, unexpectedly! I am just mushy-ooey-gooey over my DD. I can't get enough of her. I with these kinds of crazy hormones on everyone!

AFM - Exciting times over here. Just got back from an U/S. We're expecting to be hit by Hurricane Isaac sometime in the middle of the night tonight and all day tomorrow. My RE told me that he has 4 retreivals scheduled for tomorrow, and the bad part is that they've advised our whole city to stay off the roads tomorrow! But he said they have to do what they have to do! The staff at my clinic is SO AMAZING! RE said I look on schedule for a Saturday ER, and that he wants me to come back for one more u/s on Thursday to confirm, then we'll trigger on Thursday night. There is a good chance that we'll be without electricity over the next few days, so my ER recovery will likely be hot and sticky, but I'll survive! Right ovary had a good number of 13-18mm follicles, left ovary a little smaller with fewer and around 8-13mm in size. Last time around, they got 12 eggs, 7 fertilized, 3 made it to blast, we transferred 2, got a BFN, and went straight on to an FET with our lone frostie, where we got our BFP on Christmas Eve. It was all a whirlwind, and how hopefully this next little one will be conceived in a hurricane!

Like I said, exciting times!

BRMommy2B - Very exciting! I hate to admit it, but I love storms. Not ones that are bad enough that people die, etc. But there is something really awesome about seeing the power of nature like that. Puts some perspective on our importance on this planet. :) Question: When you say that you went straight on to an FET, what was the time lapse? Previously we had a pretty long wait between attempts due to various timing issues (not emotionally ready, new job, clinic timing, new house) so this is the first time I am just anxious to get started right away. Kind of wondering what to expect my RE to say tomorrow at our follow-up.

Ladies,
Sorry I have not posted, but have been stalking in the shadows. Here are the results
I started at a 14 on Saturday and today I am at 37. RE says to continue meds and go back Thursday. If I continue to increase she will schedule an U/S to see if it is a viable pregnancy. So I am remaining cautiously optimistic as directed by RE. Another two more days of stress.
