kynlee - I have ALWAYS freaked out about stopping the progesterone, but it's fine

I stopped at 10 weeks this time and everything is fine. I would save my money and not order another vial. Would you feel better about it if you slowly lowered the dose instead of stopped 'cold turkey'?

Leora- I probably would feel better but my DR said not to to just quit cold turkey so I have no clue how to feel about it lol I guess I have to know it will be ok, I read horror stories how people started bleeding days after they quit it so it worries me I think I need to stop googling

AFM- noticing lots of discharge (white milky) today is that normal at 11wks?

Kynlee-my re wanted me to do PIO until 16 weeks with my twins. My OB thought it was silly and wanted me off at 10 weeks. I needed the piece of mind though and continued until 13 weeks.

Leora-when I was 19 I went to a bachelorette party that had a tarot card reader. She told me I would b/g twins and then another girl. Twins dont run in my family and I hadn't been diagnosed yet, so I thought she was crazy. Well when I found out I was having twins I decided she was right and it HAD to be b/g

So she is 2/3 so far!!! Can't wait to hear how your appt goes!

Ryan- Ty I am so nervous about stopping the meds but I know I will have to eventually so I am going to trust my OB... My re said 8 weeks my ob said 12weeks he said the placenta is there by then so I have to just trust in God on this one... When is your next beta?

I had all my BW done today and my Diabetes testing, I thought the drink would have been much worse but it actually tasted like flat sprite, not that I loved it but I got through it lol The worse part was sitting there for a hour to test!!! U/S on Thursday cant wait to see my bean

Nicole - Again, I am so sorry, I also wrote to you on the other board.

Kylee and Leora - You girls have me thinking.... I have never been told anything about this NT scan and I am not going back to the OB until 9/26 which would make me over 14 weeks. I read there is a window for this. I wonder why I guess I am not having this done?

Kynlee- Can you take you progesterone every other day unitl you run out?

madamex- I didnt have the NT scan but I go thursday so I have it on my list to ask about it, I am guessing they will do it Thursday since its 45 min lond U/S... I did have the 1st part of the BW done for the Down Syndrome, have you? I go for part 2 the week of 10/8... Did you do diabetes testing yet?

Hi girls

Kynlee I understand the fear with quitting the progesterone but your re is right the placenta is there to support your pregnancy. With Paul I tried stopping and kept having spotting so I insisted staying on until 16 weeks for my peace of mind but I used suppositories/crinone not PIO. With this pregnancy I stopped by 10 weeks and had no issues. I know you are scared but it will be ok.

Leora the 19th will be here so soon and then you will have a peace of mind. I understand your worry though. Are you getting a TAC? I thought it was a regular cerclage...sorry a bit confused...lol pregnancy brain full on...lol I bet Bethlehem looks magical in Christmas lights

DH and I are always talking about visiting Israel and our church even does tours but with IF we have not been able to. Maybe in a few years

As for gender...this time I was dead wrong...I thought this was a girl and...nope another little guy

AFM I was feeling so great up until this week but all of the sudden my belly is sooooo heavy and I am struggling picking up Paul and all of the sudden I have Brackston Hicks contractions a few times a day and tonight I started having groin pain and all of my bones in that area ache....Ugh I fear bed rest is fast approaching for me and I am honestly freaking out...I don't know what I am gonna do and how I will manage with my little Paul still needing so much attention. I have a calendar in the kitchen that I update every week and I have literally written down 12 weeks to go on it today and pray to God I last that long. For now just taking advantage of the baby sleeping and resting a little myself. This is so stressful...wish I had a normal cervix and this was not so hard every time. Last time I did strict bedrest for 11 weeks...I a dreading that

Annashope- So sorry you arent feeling so great, but 12wks will be here soon and maybe once you are on bedrest you will feel alittle better? Do you still go to the Dr's every few weeks? As for the PIO shots, I read that some women bleed and then they stayed on that is what I am worried about cause I dont have extra after Friday but I do have the suppositories if I had to use them would that be ok you think to switch to those if God forbid I needed progesterone? I am going to go cold turkey Thursday and then hope that I dont bleed but I am going to mention it to the Dr to see what he thinks...

Ok Im nervous about stopping the shots I know most people are but I keep reading how people can bleed when they stop them, so I came to the conclusion maybe I should get one more vial and ween myself off, but unsure how I should do that... ANy suggestions? Was thinking finish full week this week with the normal shot and then doing every other day til I run out? I know I sound like a nut case about this but this is my 1st pregnancy and am so nervous of something going wrong... Hoping you ladies can give me some input

Kymlee- dont worry about stopping you will do just fine. Your body by that time is already producing enough of its own. Your RE is checking the levels and if he would be concerned he would let you know.
Last time I stopped mine early because I just didn't want to do the shots any,ore and it was fine. If you are worried you should ask your nurse or RE to show you your past prog levels so you can see yourself how they are, might give you a better feeling.

Afm - besides the high better we are really happy that the US showed one little one:-)
