Blood has been taken. I should know around lunch time tomorrow, but probably won't be able to post until after work. For anyone who needs a good laugh....I went out and bought MORE per sticks. The FRER tests, the pregnant line shows up as soon as the pee hits it, even before the test line shows up. And it's DARK! I'm trying to breathe!!!

Ryan

your pee sticks look awesome and I think you are gonna get a really good number. When mine came up that quickly the numbers were always close to a thousand if not more so I think this is a keeper :) Also thanks for sharing the stash of pee sticks pic...lol I thought I was the only one that obsessive...it gave me such a good laugh because I can totally relate. Good luck tomorrow

Kynlee- I Had and going to have an US every week and lab until they sent me over to the reg gyn at 12 weeks. So they know my levels every week. Last time I was there in the morning and he nurse said I can stop and that's what I did. No lowering the dose or such for a couple of days

Kiwi - yay for one healthy baby! :D

Ryann ---aaaahhhh... a kindred spirit. I'm not alone  I think you can stop though - that is a pretty awesome pee stick! (I always debate buying mine in packages of 75 or 100... or more!!)

Anna - Do you have plans in place for Paul when/if you do bedrest? You are getting so close! Do you have a date for your C-section yet? We are doing a TVC (a Macdonald stitch). I don't have a real clear case of IC. I was in touch with Dr. Davis for a while, but in the end, David and I decided that we would rather (at this point) go with the cheaper, easier option of the TVC based on my history. Dr. Davis said that he would do a TAC for me, but that it was probably unnecessary (but who needs to lose another baby to find out, right?).

Kynlee - nothing will go wrong :D If you have some spotting or bleeding (which is the only that can sometimes happen when stopping the progesterone), you can always start it again. Maybe have your doctor check your progesterone levels? That might ease your mind. Think positively - no more needles in the butt!

Madame X - doctors here in Israel are REALLY into pre-natal testing (and suggesting termination if there are any problems whatsoever...) - but I take it as another reassurance that baby is fine :D no worries if your doctor doesn't. How old was your donor? Usually with donor eggs, it's not an issue, since the donors have been screened for really low risks.

AFM - chugging along! I can't believe NT is tomorrow and surgery is next week (the 13th of September)! Fingers crossed that the baby shows us some 'goods' so we can get a sex guess!

Kiwi and Leora- Thank you girls for the reassurance sometimes I just need that to get me to the next step :) I did get another vial just in case I do bleed I will ask the Dr if I should restart it...

Ryan- You are too funny, I was never a POAS addict, I just waited for beta, so I only had to hear bad news once if it was negative... But after I got my Positive I did do the stick so I can have that as a Good Memory :)

AFM- do people bleed when stopping the progesterone cause there body is use to it or because the baby still needs it? If you do bleed does it just go away if you dont restart the PIO shots? I am guessing it doesnt mean you will miscarry it means you still need it or your body just is readjusting to not having it?

Thanks ladies :) I'm all done now. Beta was 747 today but progesterone was 4.7. I start Crinone tonight. Not because my OB wants to put me on it, but because I wouldn't accept no for an answer. I'm gonna pick a new OB I think :)

Kynlee-I'm actually not sure how to answer your question. All I know is that your placenta should be doing the job now, so maybe spotting is just cause your body is readjusting??? Good question!

Ryan Great beta :) I am not spotting just heard of women who do after they stop and then there was no more info to say if they miscarried or went on to a normal pregnancy so it scares me.... I talked to DH last night and I have to trust the OB to wuit cold turkey, I go to OB today so I will see when I am stopping meds I think tomorrow but we shall see :)

AFM- 12week U/S today super excited to see my little bean :) I also will get my progesterone level today since i sent for BW yesterday and I have another list of questions for the DR :)

Kynlee
Normal progesterone is anything over 10 for a pregnant woman. 30 and above is IVF numbers. I have lots of friends who had a progesterone of 9-16 all of their pregnancy and never had spotting or any trouble. Our bodies only create what is necessary :) Mine is usually around 11 or 12 and as you can see all is well (praise God) you don't need progesterone that high (30 or above) it only happen in IVF because multiple follies were grown and so between multiple corpus luteum and PIO it gets pretty high. If your progesterone is 30 you have literally NOTHING to worry about :)

Kiwi-I'm not seeing my re because this was natural. I only saw my re until 8 weeks, but I would have loved the extra attention:)

Afm-I called a new OB office and they won't see me until 8-10 weeks so I scheduled an appt for 10/8. I also called my RE and she assured me that because this is a natural pregnancy I should relax and not worry about the progesterone. She said if it makes me feel better to take the crinone then fine, but she wouldn't even prescribe it. So I'm throwing the worries away and going to enjoy every second of being pregnant :) thanks for all the support :)

bad news for me...

NT measurement is low - meaning that the odds of a chromosomal issue (like Downs') would be 1:7000 - so that's good news

But the doctor says he thinks something is wrong with the baby's skull. He's not sure what's wrong, or what it means, but I have to get a detailed follow up. Of course, I had my scan on Thursday evening, so everything is closed for the weekend (Fri & Sat here) and will only open Sunday morning. I hope they can squeeze me in on Sunday or Monday - I want some answers!

I was terrified of miscarrying, or pre-term labor -- I never ever ever ever thought there would be something wrong with the baby. Why does something DIFFERENT have to go wrong every time?

Hopefully this is nothing, but I'm going to be trying not to freak out all weekend. Of course, we have houseguests staying with us. Hopefully that'll be a good distraction, and we'll have answers early next week.
