Taressa- This just plain sucks. I am still hoping it is just too early. Maybe with some time DH will soften. My DH did not want anymore and I prayed for a year he would change his mind. One day he came to me and said we should try. I was shocked and now 3 years later here we are.

Tonya- I hope your doing well. Your in my thoughts and prayers.

Patricia- Are you on the IVF FB page? Wow! You and your sister have been through a lot. So sorry.

AFM-Up at 4 a.m. with indigestion again. need to stop being so stubborn and call RE today.

Suzyq I was thinking the samething to Tamika. If I had BFP I was going to ask for the poi shot. I'm tired of the mess the linners then I get raw I bate it such a pain and so gross.

Sorcet. I'm so sorry that your not so sure about this cycle. But it may be too early id still go to the beta just to see.

Afm- I'm doing ok DH not so sure. Went to dinner with my mom last night and the BFN was all she wanted to talk about I got so irritated I snapped alittle I just don't want to talk about it. Then we went out with the cousins had some beers poor DH got so drunk. He usually shuts out his emotions so much that I feel like I'm doing all this ivf stuff alone a lot of the times but last night he was a big sappy drunk crying about how much hes sorry I had to go though all this for a no. It was so sad it took a lot for me to hold myself together hes never talked like this about it before. I didn't really even think it did anything emotionally to him.

tmiddle~ good luck tomorrow. Hoping for a good ultrasound.

LYD~ I'm anxious to find out how many are in there too. I'm really hoping for 1 or 2 heartbeats. I don't want to see 0 or 3. I think they would recommend selective abortion with 3 and I really don't know if I could do that.

Ninde~ I like seeing you over here too!

Tawny~ I am so very sorry. Do you know how many more cycles or how long your insurance will pay for it? Will it change under obamacare? I was so sad to read your post about your DH. This IVF world is so emotionally draining.

Suzq~ I am doing shots this cycle (I did suppository/oral with my previous two cycles) and I like the shots so much better. My butt is sore but the mess with the suppositories was awful. I take prevacid for my heartburn. I have been taking it for years. It is a category B for pregnancy. I think pepcid may even be safer. If your doctor OKs it for you, it takes 3-4 days for it to start working but you will notice a hugh difference. I tried to stop taking it for a few days just to be safer and I literally had acid in my mouth when I was sleeping. Gross. Looking forward to your ultrasound results on Friday. What were your betas? I'm just curious.

Sorcet~ I am so sorry that you have not had a positive yet. Would your clinic let you come in earlier so you don't have to wait until Thursday? I did that on my second cycle because I knew it was a negative and I didn't want to take the meds if I didn't have to. I'm still hoping you get a surprise positive but I completely understand your feelings.

AFM~ Thinking I may go crazy waiting for my ultrasound. I'm only working about 10-15 hours a week right now so that is good and bad thing. I'm trying to plan lots of stuff to get my mind off of every second. Dinner w friends tonight, Padres Tuesday, Disneyland Wed, Charger's game Sunday. I'll have to start filling my following week. Glad my OHSS is finally reversing a little. I still look 5 months pregnant but my measurement on my waist had decreased from 39 in to 36 in.

Jayne- My betas were low so we are still praying for a positive outcome. Just trying to enjoy the BFP as much as possible and all the symptoms I have. 14,37,67,186 With the last jump I was told things are better and scheduled the U/S. I worry daily, but it is out of my hands. I feel things will go well on Friday, but made my DH take off to come with me just in case which he would have anyway.

Tonya-Men have a funny way of holding things in and when to flood gates open it is hard to know what to expect.

Tamika- Looking forward to hearing the good news tomorrow.

Jayne- This may sound stupid but I really don't know what my insurance is doing :? I know that I was allowed unlimited IUI's but I had to have atleast 3 before they would cover IVF. When we started this whole thing last Nov IVF's were all covered and I wasn't told a limit. We havn't even recieved all the bills for this IVF round yet so I don't know what this one really costed me grand total. The state of Illinois has a ready jack ass of a govenor and is really jacking around the state employees and DH is one of them. We have the catolac of insurance and was told everything is 100% covered except for co pays. On July 1st our med copays changed so I do know my injectables have gone up to $48 a box. Our contract with the insurance was suppose to be up on July 1st but they did a 90 extention at this point we don't know whats next. When we see the doc on the 19th we will also be seeing the finance dept to see if she knows of any changes. This is why I was really hoping for a BFP so I didn't have to deal with these unfilled blanks.
I don't know what effect obama care will have on any of this. I'm not much of a political person and really actually have no clue what is all in detail with that obama care just what our state is doing with their employees.

Tawny - Sorry about your BFN.. do you have an HMO for insurance.. If you do then you will be covered under the state mandate. which is 4 IVF's for the first child.. If you have a PPO its considered a self pay insurance and they don't have to go by the mandate so you might have a max amount of $$ that you can use for IVF.. Call your insurance company and they should be able to tell you. I also live in IL and played around with moving from PPO's to HMO's to get the most I could from insurance to pay for my 6 IVF cycles.

Good Luck!!

to have fun- Wow thanks for the information. We do have HMO through Health Alliance. I can't even think about having to do this more than 4 times I will probably die inside and give up by then.

Tawny - Glad i could help. Seriously i think IVF gets addicting..for me, it was something i wanted so much and was so pissed i had no control over it. so i kept on going as long as i had insurance. The donor egg cycle was our last straw because we were then paying fully out of pocket and mentally i couldn't take anymore. Thankfully it worked and from that cycle i got my Jake and then a baby on the way with a frostie. Don't lose hope, most have success by cycle 2 to 3. I am just not a normal person.

Tohavefun08: im curious about what you said to tawny about most people having success after 2-3 cycles? Is that really the case? And what about not having success in three cycles (well I did but i miscarried) - do the odds of success go down even lower then?

Sorry Patricia.. i don't know the odds.. Wish we all got preggo in 1 to 3 cycles. a lot depends on the age and diagnosis. Most have one golden egg left.. it just how long does it take to find that egg.

Tonya-Insurance worries are going to get bigger and bigger. We were just notified my DH company may offer no insurance at all next year and take a $1000 fine per employee from the Fed Gov. instead. They say Obama Care is killing them. Now I have to find coverage on my own and who knows what that will cost.

Cristie- Yuck about the insurance. I have cheep premium insurance through work but it's a ppo and $5000 ded and covers absolutly nothing for infertility so my CEO droped me from that and we are on my DH insurance we pay an arm and a leg monthly for it but I prefer HMO and something that pays 100% for infertiltity it seems worth it in the long run.
I really hope this Obomacare crap really doesn't mess all of us up. I'm having enough trouble with the state letalone the whole government. I couldn't even emagine the cost of your own insurance that will cover IVF. This is so hard anyway with out having to stress over all this.

tawny- sorry to hear about the negative. I was told that on average (at my age) it takes 2.2 times to get a BFP but as averages are, there are some that get it faster and others longer.
We have no IFV coverage with our insurance - only some labs and US are covered - the rest is self-pay and you have to pay the cycle upfront.
I think every company should make a decent effort to insure their employee's and should not get away with $1,000. The premium for the plan my company has is already $400 a month for the youngest/single employee if you take a family it is $800-1000 a month.
