BRMommy, I'm so sorry! The bfn's are the absolute worst! Will you try again?

Super genius, good luck tomorrow!

Mommytobemaybe, i know what you mean. The 2ww is killing me!

Caydens mom, holy moly 40 in each?!?! That is truly amazing!

Pauleen, this life of infertility is brutal isn't it? People have no idea how emotional it is to go through this, fork out thousands of dollars on IVF, and hope for the best. Keep you chin up!

AFM: I POAS today with another bfn and I'm 9dp3dt. I'm trying to stay positive but it's getting harder as I see a negative test result. How could it not work this time? Our embryos were all a quality and we put in 6!

Tortillachip - I'm hoping it will change for you!

I assume we will try again. My husband seemed a little surprised I wanted to, which surprised me. What we have decided to do for now, since I have no known issues except for maybe a slightly elevated FSH (around 10), is to see if there is anything we can do to increase his sperm quality/quantity so that we can try naturally. His counts are around 2-3 million, which is very low, and I don't really know if we can do anything, but we're going on a three month all out health kick and we'll see what happens. We'll be all self pay from here on out, so we figure trying for three months to see if changes can make any improvement in sperm count is probably worth it.

I went to GNC yesterday and got Mega Men's Performance and Vitality supplements, which the guy said has been pretty successful with some of his clients. Who knows if he is telling the truth. He loves a good bath, so we're cutting them out completely. Limiting alcohol consumption to 2 beers 2 times a week (this is the one he will have the hardest time with, seeing as how it's football season and all). We're both getting back to the gym 3x per week, and I'm going to try to make organic meals. Does anyone else have any suggestions to increase sperm count and quality? He went to the urologist right when we started all this 3 years ago, and didn't get any real reason for the low numbers, and honestly we felt a little dismissed. I think we'll find another one and go again.

Tortillachip - it's too early. See below - this has been posted in many other threads:

3 Day Transfer:

1dpt... Embryo is growing and developing
2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt... Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt... Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt... Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt... Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt... Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
8dpt... Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt... HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT

5 Day Transfer (if your transfer is done on the 6th day please adjust according to the timeline based upon how the embryo was doing by 1-2 days {e.g. blastocyst was hatching from the shell}):

-1dpt... Embryo is growing and developing
0dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
1dpt... Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day (day 6)
2dpt... Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
3dpt... Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
4dpt... Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
5dpt... Morula is completely implanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
6dpt... Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood (Day 11)
7dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
8dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
9dpt... HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on hpt (Day 14)

BR Mommy, I'm really glad you'll be trying again. Did you guys do ICSI?

Yes, we did.

I think when you can get a positive just depends on each pregnancy. By the blood test, 99.99% of pregnancies will be detected blood test, but some of them that still have a low beta may still not show up on a HPT.

We used FertileMax and my DH morphology improved significantly. The following cycle we got the best quality embryos. I recommend that supplement. It has Coq10 and one other ingredient that is essential for sperm quality. Good luck!

Thanks, Lyd. I'm going to check the ingredients and see if we should stick with that or change to what you're recommending.

AFM, Blood tests this morning were negative, confirming the chemical pregnancy. I have never had such heavy bleeding, and I'm having to run off to the restroom every hour or so to keep from leaking through. The nurse asked what I want to do next, and I'm not ready to decide yet, but I wanted to keep my options open, so I'm starting BCP again today, so that whenever we are ready, we can just slip into the next cycle. The thought of starting over makes me nervous. Just don't want another BFN. Am going to have my WTF meeting next week, but I don't think we'll find out a lot. I kind of feel like it wasn't a complete failure bc it took, but then didn't...I talked to the nurse this morning about options to improve DH's counts, and she said there really isn't much that can be done if he doesn't have a varicocele, which he got checked out for 3 years ago and they didn't find anything.

So over the next week or so, we'll try to figure out if/how we can scrape up the funds to go again. I'm going to ask my clinic if they have a payment plan option. I'd love to go ahead and start paying now, and then by the time we're ready to proceed have it halfway paid down or something. I don't know, we'll see!

Tortillachip - The 2ww for me is the worst part of this process. I seriously feel like once that 2ww start there is no point of return........It's so crazy! I still have baby dust coming your way, it looks like with that chart your still a little early.

Mommytobemaybe - I hope the 2weeks go by quick, keep us up-dated.

Supergenius - How did the FET go today?

BRMommy2b - I am soooo glad that you guys are going to try again. You give me hope just in case this FET dosn't work for me. It is such a strain all around from money to our relationship. Please keep us posted.

AFM: Well 3 estrogine shots down. I should be starting the progesteron next Monday. This Friday I'll be taking another blood test and ultrasound to see how the linings been doing. I'm getting cold feet. I'm crossing my fingers and toes for this to work.

HI girls,

BRMommy so sorry to hear of your chemical that must be harder to deal with than a plain old negative. Its great to hear you are going again though xxx

Tortillachip i really hope you are just testing early, damn dont you just hate those little evil sticks!!!!

So i am 6dp3dt not sure how to feel about it, one minute i am like oh maybe its worked then seconds later i am back in crazytown saying its a no! Not much sypmtoms bar the few AF type pains but i always get those on my negatives and positve cycles .... i couldnt stay away from tests and did one yesterday 5dp3dt i knew it would def. be a negative but i only wanted it so if a faint line does show up i can compare the 2...will test again tomorrow....with kayla i got an extremely faint line at 7dp3dt which is tomorrow and also jasons birthday.....of Please God let me give him an amazing birthday present!!!!

Had a dr appt yesterday and my eggs are still growing. He thinks my retrieval will be this friday or saturday. He said out of all the eggs I have he sees about 14 that can be retrieved. He wants the others to stay small so they dont throw me into hyperstimulation. I go back tomorrow and hopefully will be told the exact date of retrieval!!! Its getting so close.

Supergenius wrote:BRMommy2B - I am so sorry to hear about your beta results. It's good your clinic does it's due diligence, but seems like they have prepared you for reality. Nothing helps, but know you are not alone. (((((((big hugs to you))))))

mommyto(may)be - baby dust to you! hardest part of the 2ww is staying positive - you can do it! :)

caydensmom - holy cow, that's a lot of active follies lady! slow and steady is the way to go - you get better quality eggies. :) how long have you been stimming?

I am having my FET on Monday, Sept 17th. This is my first FET (after three fresh cycles) - it's so weird not to go into the office for all the b/w and ultrasounds. Am still getting used to the IM needles - DH has been doing the injections, but I need to learn to do it myself. Seems kind of awkward to stick my backside - I'm not that flexible! ;)
