Hi ladies how is everyone

Leora I am following you on facebook and am so glad the baby is doing well and is on lockdown for 23 weeks now. Still do try to take it easy because let me tell you from experience cerclages are not 100% I hope you are enjoying the holidays :)

Kynlee I am so glad everything is so well with you and that you were able to get off the PIO without issue. Now smooth sailing right? Are you showing much? I was showing early even though I was not packing on the weight somehow the belly just popped out...lol

Kala, boy do I understand where you are coming from!!!! I am absolutely exhausted!! My husband works long hours and sometimes he has to bring work home (IT stuff) so my other two boys are entirely on me. Between chasing a now walking 13 month old and driving around my 12 year old who plays football this year for two different teams I am spent. Plus, I am a teacher but DH and I chose for me to stay home for a few years while our youngest kids are so little so I am finishing a program to become a Medical Transcription editor so I could work from home for some extra money (always needed with these little guys) On top on that this pregnancy I have some stupid side-effect of pregnancy where my heart races all the time...I saw a cardiologist and all she said was try to relax and if its not better we can do meds....ugh when to find time to relax right? OK well enough complaining from me I am sure we are both thrilled to be expecting :)

Ryan I am sorry you are having morning sickness. This pregnancy was the worst for me as far as that. I was sick so much I was pretty much constantly on meds until 13 weeks but now its a distant memory so hang in there. I am sure it is even harder when you are having to care for 2 little ones at home. Feeding Paul used to be the hardest....all of his puree foods made me queezy. Good luck on your ultrasound on Thurs

Angel how are you?

AFM 27 weeks today!!! Starting 3rd trimester :) Baby shower BBQ this weekend. We decided that instead of a formal baby shower (since we have so much stuff from Paul) we are having a "baby celebration BBQ" and inviting all of our friends to hang out ( both men and women) I am excited as long as the weather cooperates. Otherwise the cervix check was not quite what I wanted....cervix shortened from 2.5-3 to 2-2.5 so I lost 1/2 a cm in 2 weeks. Doc is saying to start resting more and we will reevaluate in 2 weeks so we shall see. I wish you all a wonderful week and for my Jewish friends enjoy the holidays

Kala0704- Hope you feel better, I dont know to much about hyperthyrodism but It doesst sound fun :(

Annashope- I dont think Ill ever be relaxed lol, I got passed the PIO shots over a week off them and no issues so I think my progesterone must be good my DR wont retest (which ticks me off) but he said that I am fine so I will trust him and keep faith in God :) your BBQ sounds fun :) I do have a belly now, I was tiny before this so my belly popped about 9weeks in lol I am now in maternity pants lol

AFM_ busy week with year end at work :( But it is making my time fly which is good another day closer :) Go next Thursday to hear the HB even though I been using my doppler always feels nice to see the DR so I can ask questions :) I told my work yesterday everyone is so excited for me and DH they new how long we wanted this feels so nice to have everyone know now :)

HOLY CRAP! I can't believe how long it's been.

I'm so sorry I haven't checked in in forever. Life has been absolutely crazy. We were in escrow on a house and then it fell through, so I've been working on getting us into a rental or finding another house to buy and also trying to find a baby nurse or live-in for the twins and dealing with my crazy mother and friends' wedding, etc. I pulled my back out and have been seeing a chiropractor and then taking meds for extreme nausea (STILL). I'm such a stressball. Liv and Levi are doing really well though. Our last ob appt was on Monday and she said everything was good. They've moved around and are now both head up and facing each other, kicking each other. She's a kicker and he's partly blocked by placenta, so he just kicks her. We go to the perinatologist for the super duper ultrasound tomorrow morning. Yay more family pictures!!

It looks like everyone is doing so well on here!

Kynlee - I can't figure out how to use my doppler for the life of me. I'm almost 23 weeks and GINORMOUS, so it shouldn't be a problem, yet I just can't find them. I've got to be doing something wrong...or maybe it's broken? At this point, I should be able to hear them even with a stethoscope.

Anna - Happy Third Trimester! that's awesome!! I think I'm having a coed bbq or something for mine as well. Just seems more appropriate for twins to have a lot of people and a lot pf fun instead of like a tea or something.

Ryann - UGH. Vomiting is the WORST. Zegerid and Zofran have saved me. I seriously thought I'd be done with this by now and I'm still holding it back constantly. It should be so much easier with one baby this time though... you'll let me know :) I still can't believe it. I'm way too happy for you.

Kala - I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. I think it should be an easy fix though. They can put you on Levothyroxine or something and you'll feel so much better....fingers crossed.

Leora - So glad the procedure went well. Looks like things are finally going smoothly for you :)

Lauren- Are you using the lotion for the doppler? When I first did it I didnt use the cream and couldnt find it, You have to go very slow around the whole belly then you will hear it :) My bean goes under my belly button in the morning and then to my right side by dinner time so I find it all the time :) Love the sound and it makes me sleep better knowing I can at least hear that since I dont get a U/S til 19 weeks :( But I will be going to another place for a U/S so I can see my Baby next sat :) You are moving right along you are half way there :)

well, I survived the two day long holiday at my ILs. Phew! Happy New Year!

Christy - <whisper> you use your doppler... ahem... up there? Is that allowed? <normal voice> I can't do that even if I wanted to -- mine is a 'all in one' device -- no seperate transducer and I ain't shoving that whole thing in there!

Kynlee - most people have very few ultrasounds. People tell me all the time that they are jealous of how often I get scans, but I keep trying to explain that it's not a good thing! Yes, I get to see my baby all the time, but I also have to live with the anxiety and had to go through losing my babies (more than once...). Whenever I hear women saying they are hoping to get a 'single' room in the maternity ward in the hospital, I always have to stop myself from screaming at them that I've had the "private" room twice, and I promise you NEVER want to be the woman that has to be kept away from the other women having healthy babies.... (okay - vent over). It's hard between scans, but I'm sure baby is fine. Remember that after 12 weeks or so, the odds of losing this baby go down to less than 1%! That's more than 99% chance you'll bring him or her home!

Lori - yes - Zofran causes MAJOR constipation. Your doctor should suggest something to take with it (like a laxative, or stool softener, or fiber supplements). TAKE THEM! I was scared to - but not pooping is the most uncomfortable thing ever! :D

Sarah (Kala) - yay! So happy to hear that everything is okay on your end. The PAT boards tend to be a bit quieter than the IVF boards -- pregnancy is (or at least, should be!) pretty boring! Any guesses on whether you are having another girl or a boy this time?

Ryann- I also spoke too soon! I didn't throw up at all from Friday to Tuesday and thought my morning sickness was gone. But it's back today - and worse than ever! Ugh! I'm glad you are feeling sick :D Good luck on the scan tomorrow!

Anna - My doctor keeps saying that with the cerclage, I won't need bed rest (unless things start to change), but I kinda want to stop working (or at least cut back to part time) just to have more relaxing time. I just need to feel like I'm doing everything possible. Hurray for third trimester for you! Are they really worried about 1/2 cm? I've heard that kind of variation can just be different doctors measuring different ways.

Lauren - welcome back  Where are you hanging out these days? (Are we FB friends? I don't think so....) I'm so sorry the house thing fell through. We live in a rental and keep talking about buying - but it's so scary! I hate to tell you, but I was sick until the day I delivered everytime (but hopefully not this time!) Is the Zofran helping at least? Let's see some giant twin belly!

AFM - I went for a light shopping trip and lunch with a friend. I'm feeling fine, and didn't get any cramping. (Of course, I felt guilty when my boss called, just to see how I was feeling.... but I'm taking my whole week vacation for this! Besides, 3 of the days I would be missing work were a holiday, so I'm only missing 2 work days anyway.)

But now it's 11pm and I'm awake. Ugh. The nausea kicked up again today and I feel awful. I also have horrific cramps in my lower legs, not sure if that's because I walked around after being in bed for almost a week, or just pregnancy muscle cramps (I got those really bad in previous pregnancies).

OB appt on Monday!

Annashope- overall im doing well thanks for asking. Ur getting close

kynlee- i have been on lovenox since transfer since they were trying everything and were questioning if i had a blood clotting disorder that they did not test for causeing my previous losses. So appt tomorrow is to see what to do with it...continue or stop. these shots hurt like a mother #$%&@*!!!! But the question is mthfr results since i never knew that this was an area of concern until sent to OB!!! Im still confused about my results of the test and what it means. RE put me on an additional 1mg of folic acid for a total of 2. But since we are unsure what made this round sucesssfull stopping lovenox will freak me out but no pain will be great also!!!

Leorna- Glad you survived the last couple of days, lol! Sorry your starting not to feel well. I think my water intake was also lower than normal so when i increased that helped too :D

lauren-glad ur doing well

rypell-zofran is a godsend!! feeling any better? Its a good sign but it still sucks

Kala-how r u feeling?

AFM-consult tomorrow to discuss lovenox and MTHFR results to see what the plan of action is then BW in prep for NT scan next week!!! Zofran is my BFF!!! overall ok, very tired all of the time!! when did u ladies share ur good news with family. I think we will start to announce after NT scan on wed of next week. People seem to vary 12w-14w??

Lori - I was tested for MTHFR but don't have it - from what I understand, it inhibits your body's ability to absorb folic acid (which is necessary for the developing baby). The 'treatment' is to take extra folic acid. My husband had an aunt (his mother's sister) who died at birth in the 1950s from spina bifida (no ultrasounds back then, so no one knew before birth), so I'm considered slightly higher risk for a neural tube defect - so I take 5mg of folic acid daily. No big deal.

Also - as for waiting to tell - I hate waiting to tell. Being pregnant is such a huge part of my life, especially in the first trimester when I'm especially nervous and super sick. I tell people in person really early (usually after seeing the heartbeat). I've found that when I miscary, I tell everyone about that too - so why not share good news when I have it?

With this pregnancy, I made a facebook announcement really early. I was told I was miscarrying in week 6 - which coincided with the year anniversary of my boys' NICU stays and deaths. I posted on FB about how awful that was (and hoped people would be especially sensitive and nice). The next week, when we found out I WASN'T miscarrying - I couldn't leave people thinking we had lost the baby -so I posted that my miscarriage was midiagnosed and the baby was fine. So 'everyone' has known since week 7! I don't mind though.

Thanks Leorira! Specialist wants one more blood test to get the level ( they believe will be normal) if not i need a total of 4mg of folic acid. they dont feel im at the level of needing asprin or lovenox. So i stoped lovenox but waiting to stop asprin until bw is done just to make sure...stopping lovenox last night freaked me out a little bit. BW is tomorrow morning but i have to fast so that will be interesting! they dont open til 8am, i usually need to eat by 7am...ugh!

Always- I learn so much from here, never heard of MTHFR. Hope your levels look good so you can stop the meds.. Maybe if you just take the extra folic acid you can stop the shots... Good luck with your test today... :) I told my close family between 9-12 weeks now everyone knows including my Job couldnt hide it anymore I am getting big quick. People said they noticed my belly but didnt want to ask just in case they were wrong... lol

Leora- I agree about the U/S but since i have a place that I can go to for extra ones I am taking advantage of it to get some better pictures 3D andD :) Sorry you are still feeling sick :( It should pass soon...

AFM- Getting alot of gas pains today UGH, they tend to hurt and since I am not home I cant just lay down which usually helps

Kynlee- It was so nice talking with you today! Glad you got the storage fee all figured out, nice that the clinic gives you a full year before charging a fee. I got my protocol in the mail for October but will let you all know once everything goes through with IVF Attain, there are so many variables to get approved but it's far from being over. :)

Must catch up with how everyone else is doing over here hopefully sooner then later. In the meantime you all enjoy the pregnancy, seriously so much time goes into constant worry and then the baby is here. You all deserve to enjoy this moment.

OB appt. A quickie u/s to check the baby - who is doing fine. I still can't believe it!

I was killing time waiting for DH this evening - and there is a baby store right near his office. I stopped in and saw this -

Image - so I bought it!

We don't know if we are having a boy or a girl - but if we have a girl, this is perfect for my "rainbow baby" (if this is a boy, well... I have a gift for the next friend who has a rainbow baby girl.... or my son will wear pink! :D )
