I am feeling relieved to see there are other people going through the same thing as me. I am going through my first ivf I'm on day 6 and experiencing bleeding. It's not too heavy but has me very worried. I had an ultrasound today and the dr said it's dark blood I shouldn't worry too much he sees the embryo still there and prescribed bed rest for 3 days. Any ideas any one?
Paulholly, Welcome you to the group!
I'm trying to gather a little more information hoping to provide a little insight, but did you have a 3dt or a 5dt (blastocyst) with this being day6?
My doctor told me if I experience some light bleeding the day after transfer not to worry. I'm currently on day9 and didn't experience any of this though, as a matter of fact I have zero symptoms only a bruised bottom from progesterone shots! I can tell you though that dark blood is considered "old blood" so this could be from very early implantation, it's peace of mind that he could find the embryos on the monitor but try not to worry although-- I know in this journey it's impossible not to. I'm here for you girl!

I'm not sure what those terms mean and it seems to me I should be asking! There are quite a few terms un this thread I am not familiar with. I am going to re domed which is a well known and established clinic but this being my first time I don't think I am as familiar with all if this as some if you. It is day 7 and I am still experiencing bleeding I am very worried. It is usually more after the progesterone suppository. The nurses have assured me there is no Devi ate answer until my test on nov 18 I am just crazy with worry until then. (which I know is not helping).
Sunshine 3dt meaning transfer on the third day after the removal...that is what I had. Removal on thurday last week transfer on Sunday they were calling yesterday day six but it is technically day 5 because Sunday will be a week from the transfer date.
PH,
I also had a 3 day transfer last Saturday (11/3) but instead of the messy suppositories I decided to brave myself with progesterone shots. I remember the others being so messy I stocked up with panty liners on my last IVF, but also think hear the suppositories can irriate the lady parts which might cause bleeding but not to worry those embryos are snuggling into mama as we speak. I find the only thing that is keeping me from overanaylzing (which I'm so bad the girls will tell you) is burying myself in work this cycle. The drama there is enough to occupy my mind from the IVF craziness! I will be checking in to refrain anyone from overpanicking. lol we know the emotional rollercoaster IVF entails! The BEST thing right now is to prepare yourself, have a backup plan although we hope and pray THIS cycle works but then again medicine sometimes has to be twicked to bring us all success, I wish someone had told me that on my first try because I really had an emotional meltdown but through it all I learned it's about trial and error sometimes and the more tries the better the outcome since the RE can twick meds and change protocals to bring us our BFP.
Sending you all the best with much success!

Thanks so much sunshine I really appreciate the support I wish you all the best as well. I almost went to the hospital today worried about the bleeding but I got abhold of my dr who says hold off until Monday and come see him. So I'm trying very hard to stay calm and positive. What a roller coaster ride I hope this cycle. Will be all I need but if not I have a better idea of what to expect if I have to try again.
Hello Ladies
I do hope you don't mind me posting to lend some encouragement. My daughter and I used to read this forum nearly 5 years ago when she was going through her first IVF treatment. She has severe endometriosis and was given a 1% chance of conceiving naturally. After several surgeries she started IVF and was lucky enough to become pregnant with twins on her third attempt. Low grade embryos by the way. Sadly she lost one of the twins at 10 weeks but went on to deliver a beautiful girl who is now 4 years old. Against all the odds she became pregnant naturally 5 months later but that also ended in miscarriage. A year later she was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst and had to have that removed along with her left Fallopian tube. Unbelievably she became pregnant naturally again and now has a lovely 2 year old boy as well. There were so many very dark days and huge financial worries about the cost of all these treatments.
I sometimes read the forums still because of course you become interested in how people are doing and only those who have been involved at all with IVF can really understand what a roller coaster it all is. I just want you to remember that miracles CAN and DO happen. My grandchildren are living proof. I live in Britain and the protocols are so different here and the odds of success lower too. I wish you all much joy and success in the future and I hope to be able to read many more happy stories on this board.
God bless.

Hi Ms. Thompson,
Thank you for sharing your grand-daughter's miracles with us! That was so sweet and thoughtful of you to take the time to tell us her personal journey, we need more success stories over here because these stories keep our hope well alive!
Thanks again,

PH- Did the bleeding finally stop? I hope you are okay over there, I know this road is scary enough let alone all the uncertainty but sometimes it's helps knowing your never alone in this journey.
Today is almost gone which means the countdown is 4 days until beta....one of my local friends who is going through the 2ww with me text me tonight that she hates the long wait. She is ttc naturally, but they have been trying for well over 6 months for a sibblng. I responded I hate the wait but it helps me personally not to expect anything. With my second cycle, I know it sounds strange but I'm not as nervous only because I know many are praying this gives me some peace but I know it's far from being over.
Anyway we shall see how this week goes but like I said I don't expect anything to happen. I seriously think the more times we go through this the stronger we become but I don't wish this upon anyone to go through it more then once.
Much Love,
Christy

No 3 days of bleeding not feeling very hopeful seeing the dr on Monday it's almost heavy like a period I'm still using the suppositories as per dr's ordered but I just feel really at a loss.
How are you doing christy? I guess it would get easier with each try. I will be more Cautious next time if I have to go through this again. It will take sometime to save the money to try again if I get bad news tomorrow.
Hello again
For my daughter the first treatment was definitely the hardest because you can't believe it isn't going to work! There is nothing like the Attain programme in the UK and no insurance to cover IVF. My daughter paid for the first two treatments and then the National Health Service actually financed the third because her endo was so severe and her gynaecologist made a recommendation for funding. If he hadn't done that they wouldn't have been able to afford another treatment.
I will be thinking of you on Thursday Christy. I think the way you are dealing with the horrible 2ww is very sensible.
By the way I know the area you live pretty well. My oldest friend and her family lived in Mobile for many years and I have spent many happy holidays with her. Loved the north Florida beaches and a favourite was Santa Rosa Island.
It was so nice of you both to reply to my message. Just wanted to let you know that someone else was thinking about all you ladies. The more good thoughts the better!
