~Babies due 2013!~

Hi girls, thank you for the warm congratulations we are very happy and in love with our newest addition. Nick is a little sweetheart. What happened was that I am pretty sure my water broke sometime Sunday evening but it was not one giant gush so I couldn't tell. I was having contractions overnight but nothing major but what I was noticing felt like I literally peed myself over and over so by morning I started wondering if maybe I was leaking water. I called the OB and they insisted I come in. The doc did a quick check and a gush of water came out on the table so at that moment I knew it was the water and it def broke but the doc took some and checked under the microscope and confirmed that my water broke...so I was told to go straight to Labor and delivery and that our baby would be delivered shortly. We got to L&D and were scheduled for a c-sec at noon. After a quick prep we were taken to the OR and literally 3-4 minutes into the surgery we got to hear those amazing words "the baby is almost out" my husband jumped to his feet and and watched our little son come into this world and within seconds we heard him cry. I have to say I was in tears and sobbing and so was DH. Our little baby Nick at only 36 weeks along did so well praise God!! He only spent about an hour in NICU for observation to make sure he could breath well and then he rejoined us in the recovery room. He is 6lb and 14oz which is a really good weight for 36 weeks and he is 18 1/2 inches tall. My milk has not come in yet but I am nursing and pumping and giving him what I have plus supplementing with formula until the milk supply is sufficient ( I had to do that with Paul as well since my full milk supply did not come in until day 11, I supplemented with formula but by 1 month old he was completely breast fed so I will try the same this time.

AFM there is a lot more pain after the second c-sect and I was not ready for that so I am in a bit of pain but so happy to have my little guy. I am trying to do a lot of walking to help the healing process but its hard. My iron is pretty low too so I am trying not to get too much more anemic. We should be going home tomorrow so we will all be home for Thanksgiving thank God!!! Happy Thanksgiving girls...you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Anna - Nick is adorable. Glad he is doing well.

Kynlee - I also have some fibroids that my OB is going to monitor. She doesn't sound concerned so far but i will get u/s every 4 weeks. I won't complain about that.. LOL!!

to have fun- Did you have fibroids with your first pregnancy? My Dr doesnt seem concerned either and said u/s every 4 weeks so he can monitored but I have read horror stories... I believe mine are on the outside, I know the biggest one is definitely on the outside but dont know where the knew one came from...

Just wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving, I am truely blessed and Thankful for each of you...

Anna- How precious! I've been enjoying Nick's precious pictures over on facebook. He's now 3 days old and what a blessing to have him home with you forThanksgiving. I hope you recover smoothly, never thought about C sections being more painful the second time around. But I'm glad you and your little guy are home now and I enjoyed reading every single thing in great detail that happened, I could literally see myself there with you.

I wanted to wish everyone else over here a nice Thanksgiving too. Waiting on my neighbors to come over so we can eat and later have a bonfire out in my backyard. But I'm thinking of you ladies and hoping each of you have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Kynlee - That stinks about your fibriods, but as long as everything is going well that is all that matters! It also seems like your little guy is going to be closely montiored so that's great and reassuring! I also got my crib at babies r us and it converts. I also got the Dr. Browns bottles. All my friends reccomended them... low gas to no gas. I registered for the the Graco Trecko, it's a 3- wheel stoller.... I walk alot. Then the Sung Ride fits right in there. I will get an umbrella stroller for the mall and stuff.... Hope it works out well.

Always -I finally ordered my bedding it took me over two weeks of going back and forth. It was shipped and hopefully will be here next week, then we can start picking out paint samples. The bedding was really holding me back. I ordered mine from Land of Nod. Too many decisions!!! Even got the matching curtains ... check out the site if you haven't already. Are you doing a theme?

wow - I can't belive how everyone is moving along!

I'm cycling again - hopefully trigger this weekend with a ER/ET next week. I can't believe it's only been 6.5 weeks since we lost our little boy and we are already doing the craziness again - but we are soooo desperate for a baby to bring home.

I wondered where you had gone, I am an old timer and only now peep in to check on your progress and a few others. I am not on facebook so would welcome a quick update on here every now and again so that I can silently cheer you on. I wish you lots of luck and baby dust with your current cycle. You are one inspirational couple and deserve to have a baby more than anyone I know.

AFM still ticking away...and waiting for my next appt!! I am getting anxious now wondering if all 3 are ok, though i think i am feeling 2 of them a bit, i can feel where the are and if i press in on them they wriggle away and come back a few mins later so i am assuming its them and not an organ!! Think i may pull out my maternity clothes this weekend, my belly is measuring 34.5 inches all way round though i am still fitting into my old jeans its just tops i need and my work uniform is getting very snug!! I put on 3 lbs last wk so now up about 7 lbs as i am naturally small i need to gain the weight to try prevent preterm labour and bulk these babies up!! Kaylas 2nd birthday was last saturday... cant believe she is 2!!! We spent 8 longgggg years trying to get her and now she is here time is flying, she is a great character and fiesty! Mam calls her street angel house devil ha ha

Yay, well done :0) Welcome baby Nicholas. You did very well making it to 37 wks.

I've been absolutely hopeless at posting. I've finished work now so hopefully time for some rest before baby comes along. I've still got borderline placenta previa so a scan next week @ 38 wks will determine whether I have a c-section or to. I'm hoping for a natural birth but at the end of the day I just want to meet our baby girl by going down the least risky path.

Leora – Thanks for stopping in to say hi! I am thrilled you are cycling again! I really hope this cycle is the one you bring home a baby!

Gi – The nursery is coming along. Our furniture was delivered but still in boxes. My DH is painting now. We are doing dolphin gray walls and then an accented violet purple wall that we will put the crib up against. The bedding is a light purple and white and I got the matching curtains. I can’t believe you can feel your beans already and even tell which ones are moving, it is amazing!

Kukina- I am also a carrier of Fragile X, if you need anything let me know. Lauren hasn’t posted on a while on here. I know she is expecting boy/girl twins and pretty soon too if I remember correctly.

Kynlee – Let us know how your doc app goes on Tuesday! How is everything else going? How are you feeling? Did you start your nursery? I have no idea if I am done registering or not…. lol

AFM- I had my monthly check up Monday. On Sunday night I had a lot of clear discharge, it actually went through my pajama pants. So they checked if I was leaking any amniotic fluid… all looked good, they said I might have peed myself a little…. lol. Oh well better than my water leaking! Her heart rate dropped from the 170’s to 152, but they said that is totally normal now, everything like her metabolism is slowing down so she will start to fatten up. My next app is Christmas Eve, which will be a great present to hear her heartbeat I've gained like 20 lbs but I really don’t feel like I have, must be the maternity pants. 24 weeks tomorrow!!!

Madamex- I havent started the nurery yet, we are still cleaning up from all the damage of Hurricane Sandy I still have things to do for registry who knows what I am missing lol Glad it wasnt your water too, peeing yourself is much better lol...Yeah for 24 weeks, so nice to hear the heartbeat, I have a doppler so I listen whenever he is quiet lol Cant wait to meet this little Dude I love him so much already picturing next Christmas with the little baby boy
