Lauren- I knew there was a reason to hang around! You must be nervous but excited all at the same time, this is huge! I'm glad you found a new doctor who will give you the best treatment possible, wow and I read he can even reverse menopause, slow responders with low reserve. I did the long lupron protocal and we had a better turnout with my last cycle, even some that made it the freezer but I'm interested in hearing about the meds he's prescribing for your cycle.

Lauren - Good Luck Gal.. I know there were several times i said i was never going to cycle with my eggs again.. then to go to a different Dr. who had the cure. Of course none of them worked and we eventually went with DE. My story with my eggs is not a great but so many ladies do have success even with low reserves and being a poor responder. Hope that this dr. knows his stuff and can bring you that BFP.

So today is Day 1-Called RE scheduled tomorrow for bw & u/s at 830 am tomorrow. Meds are arriving tomorrow.....OMG

Sunshine-From what I understand I am supposed to sta t with menopur or follistim and then add in centrotide? But the keyy is to wait until you have a natural rise in your own FSH to start inj. I think he said no sooner than day 5? IDK he seemed optimistic and said maybe I will have some frosties!!! That would be the first.

We get eggs, fertilize but never take

So today I went for day 2 bw & u/s...AFC only 10...hope thats good.

However the IVF nurse just called me...so she tells me my bloodwork results and tells me to start stims...I questioned her bc I "thought" the doc said not to start until day 5..but maybe im crazy?? IDK..so she says let me ask the doctor covering hima nd call you back...so then she calls me back and says yes ur right wait till day 5! Now im nervous..........is day 5 too long? Was I right? wrong etc??????????????? Guess I have to just trust its the right way...

Checking on you girl tonight. It sounds aggravating when the nurse doesn't know what's going on. I remember the Attain Program needing a uterine cavity sounding and my IVF coordinator set up the appt for me to come in. When I got to the clinic they thought I was there for a baseline and I had to tell them myself, fortunately the RE was at the satteline clinic that day to perform the test or I would had been screwed. So my thoughts are listen to your doctor in regards to what he tells you. Sometimes honestly I wish they didn't have the nurses calling us, in some way it feels like a "middle-man". To answer your question though for my last IVF I was on bcp for 3 weeks. Once I stopped I got my period within 3 days, but I didn't go into the clinic until day 4 of full flow and I started meds the next day. So that would mean I started Lupron on day 5. I hope this helps some, yes trust your gut, always question them if you think something is off. Yes frosties would be awesome, but I hope more then anything this is your BFP, and we all will be cheering you on!

Hi all. I've done several cycles with some of you that are left. My last cycle kinda kicked my emotional butt and still continues. I have been lurking and stalking all of you and praying for your BFP, I just didn't post.

Lauren- I know it can be so crazy when you are going through your cycle, especially at first. Most of my communication is with my nurse, so I rarely get conflicting information and love it because the nurse is so much easier to get a hold of. I hope your nurse and doctor get on the same page!

Leora- Good luck with this cycle. How are you doing? How was all of that unrest there? I saw a couple of posts from you on
FB about the sirens, and just assumed you guys were good since you continued posting. Was it super scary?

Christy- I am so sorry about this last cycle. Sucks that it was a BFN, awesome that you have frosties!

AFM- The last cycle, which was a donor cycle, I got a BFN. We have 8 frosties, which is awesome, but doing 4 cycles back to back completely tapped us out financially as well as emotionally. I hit a low that was lower than I knew was possible for me. Right now, I am trying acupuncture, which is crazy since I have always been sooooooooo scared of needles, major needle phobia (yes, I am the one that uses the numbing cream for the shots in the stomach). Anyways, I love, love, love the acupuncture. We are waiting to save the money for the FET, which is so much cheaper, but everytime we get close to saving the money, something happens. We've had 3 of the 4 dogs sick over the past couple of months which is not normal, they were never sick before. We will almost for sure be doing an FET by around March we believe. If the money trickles in sooner, then it will be sooner, but we should have the money for sure by March.

Laura-Thanks for your support. This journey is very tough finacially and mostly emotionally. I tried acupuncture before its pretty amazing!! Im nervoud about the IM injections this RE ordered. I am a nurse and I have no problems giving it just afraid of getting it LOL

AFM-So Im waiting to hear from the RE office regarding my lengthy message about my concerns. Waiting to hear from billing about expeses and just getting somethings done around the house. Back to work tomorrow.these 12 hour days are killing me!!

Yay so happy to see some activity over here this week! Lauren so glad you are cycling and we are here for you girl!
I wish I knew what the bloodwork levels meant lol I am always the one who anaylzes two things: the follicle count and the lining lol and all I know about the lining really is anything around 10 right before transfer is considered good. I hope someone can fill us in with the hormone levels, we will have to wait to hear what the other girls say.

AFM: hahahaha I bought my very first power ball lottery ticket yesterday, it reminded me of how my dad would seldomly play just for kicks. I told dh our luck surely has to change in the year 2013, but I don't really think a lottery ticket will make that much of a difference...but it''s still a little exciting kind of like peeing on a stick. Trying to wait until midnight to find out but might as well just go on to bed. G'night ladies!
