They only found 2!!!!!! She searched everywhere and could only find 2. She thinks maybe it was the poor quality of the machine in the office or maybe the yoke sac was giving off a beat but there were only 2 today. This takes so much off of my mind and relaxes us both. As she was looking around in there all of the sudden you could hear the heartbeat over the speaker that was the kewlest thing ever.
The sucky thing is now I have to be released to an OB and I have no clue who to go to or anything. I guess we are going with my RE's recomindation. But now I have a prenatle apt next Thurs for like an hour of questions about my history an exam and blood work. Why can't they just access my RE's information.
I'm still not sick and I've lost 4 lbs she said I'm looking good though they are just taking everything I put in and then some :D Next U/s will be at 18 weeks unless I choose to do the First Trimester Screen for chromosome abnormalities and down syndrome. I don't think we are going to do that though.

Hey tawny, well I'm so glad you are feeling more relaxed. I'm sure your RE can get you a good recommendation for an OB.

Angel-- how are you?

AFM--- had my u/s today. Things are ok but could have been better. There is a yolk sac and gestational sac but no fetal pole or heartbeat. At both of my other pregnancies by 6 weeks there was a heart beat, so I'm not feeling fantastic. However I know that each little bean grows at its own pace and I'm trying so hard to remind myself that everything could be just fine. I'll be on pins and needles until my scan next week. I'm ok and know that whatever happens I already have much to be thankful for so I'm trying remember that. My mantra this week is stay calm and positive...

SDtrying - fX'd all is good at your next scan.. Remember this was all natural so conception could have been a few days off.. Not like IVF where we know for sure of fertilization date.
Good Luck!!!

Hello ladies! It has been a while since I have posted on this board, but I try to follow along with everyone. I had twins from IVF in February, and they are just amazing! We met with our RE in December to talk about a potential FET next month. Over Christmas, I didn't feel quite right, and I took a pregnancy test... it was positive! I had my first appt with my OB today, and it was very uneventful. He did a Pap and some bloodwork, but I don't see him again until I'm 10 weeks. I don't get an ultrasound until 18 weeks unless I want to do the genetic screen. I think we'll do it just to get the ultrasound. I was so spoiled with the twins, and I feel like I need to make sure it's not ectopic or twins again  I really wanted to tell family and friends at about 10- 12 weeks, but I don't want to say anything until I have an ultrasound. Anyway, if you'll let me, I'd love to join your group! Ryan, I may need your advice about strollers, etc for twin toddlers and a newborn!

Wishingandhoping-- congrats!!! Fantastic we're super close for our EDCs. I totally agree with Ryann I'd be going nuts in fact I am! I called my RE though and asked for some scans because if our history.

Tohavefun- you are totally right and I'm trying to remember that for all I know it took his swimmers days to find my egg (since they never seemed to be able to find it for the previous 6 years!!!) maybe this little bean is a few days slower than my two that had all the pressures of being raised and scrutinized in a lab environment. I do however know the exact day we used the conception kit since we were tracking my ovulation. It was crazy, it was Dec 11th and one of my coworkers randomly said "did you know that I heard on the news that today is the day most babies will be conceived." Everyone laughed and all the women were joking about making sure to use extra protection (of course I was sorta annoyed thinkin-- ya not a problem for me....years sans protection and never once an "accident" but I did sort of think for a second that maybe it was a good omen for me since this was also day 14 for me :)

Hoping meds will keep contractions at bay so this little man can keep cooking! They also did a growth scan and noticed i have high fluid and the babys stomach is small so they need to monitor this as well to make sure he is swallowing. Im 27 w 6 days. Baby is 2.5 lbs

Always- Glad you are home! Rest and relax. Bedrest is not fun, but it is SO worth it. I saw on Facebook that your FFN was negative. That's great! You shouldn't deliver within the next 2 weeks with a negative FFN. Mine was positive starting at 31 weeks, and I delivered at 34w3d. I ended up having my mother come stay with me on bedrest so that my husband wouldn't have to come home at lunch and feed me. It also took my mind off of worrying about the babies. I watched a lot of TV while I was on bedrest. Now I never have time to watch it!

Tawny- Love those U/S pics! Congratulations! Glad your mind is more at ease with twins.

Ryann- We were on the PAT board together, and we're friends on Facebook. I haven't said anything on the Facebook group because I'm petrified that other people can see the posts (I know it's a secret group, I just don't trust Facebook). I am going crazy....trying to think of ways to get an U/S sooner. I don't want to lie and say I'm bleeding, but I really want to see this bean and make sure everything is okay (and that it's just 1 bean!). I may go ahead and order a Doppler so that I can at least try to find a heartbeat in a few weeks. My husband and I are trying to figure out what all we need for the new baby. I know we need a new crib, stroller, booster seat. Not sure what to do about the stroller. I think we may just get a single snap n go. We have a double BOB.

SD- My due date is Sept 4 according to my OB, but I know we didn't conceive until Dec. 15. We have 2 10 month olds, so it's not like there a ton of dates that it would have been possible! How funny that someone at work told you Dec 11 was a big day for conceiving. I guess it worked for you! I agree with everyone else, the swimmers probably just took their own sweet time! :)

Wishing....geez! I suck if I can't put a screen name and name together (sorry!!!) Maybe don't say you're bleeding, but call and explain your anxiety, given you've had to use fertility treatments in the past, and that youd like a dating ultrasound. Insurance should cover it, so I can't see it being a big deal! Also, if it came down to it, you could go to a private place. So far we have decided to get a 3rd crib...the twins just aren't ready, plus we bought them cnvertible cribs. We have the EasyWalker Duo, so the plan in to put Baby Ethan in his carseat in one of the seats, the twins can switch off in the other seat, and we can attach a ride on board. The twins will be almost 2. We may get a single snap-n-go for when I have someone else with me, but that's our current plan for when I venture out alone. We are getting another highchairs because we got the twins ones that convert to booster. I think that's it though. Oh, and a wrap so I can try out baby wearing while chasing the twins around :)

Ryann- I am so impressed that you are talking about venturing out alone! I think I have only ventured out alone with the twins once or twice... I can't imagine venturing out by myself with all 3! I'm going to have to figure it out eventually though! I didn't think about the wrap. That's a great idea. I always wanted to use one, but we ended up buying the Baby Bjorns because my husband did not want to wear a wrap. I'll have to get one for this baby. We also bought the convertible cribs, and I know the twins won't be ready to be in beds, so we'll be buying a new crib.
I thought about going to a private place for an ultrasound, but my husband doesn't like that idea. He doesn't want someone outside of a medical practice performing a medical procedure on me. I was in such shock when the OB told me no U/S until 18 weeks that I didn't think to protest. I don't want to be the obnoxious patient, but I really want to take a look! Oh well, maybe I'll call and explain next week. I do have a history of miscarriage...maybe that will convince them... The info packet that they gave me said that I could pay out of pocket for an ultrasound, maybe I'll just do that. I don't know... Anyway, thanks for the sympathy!

I must have some major ants in my pants because I have been going out along with the twins since they were about 5 weeks old!!!! I simply can't sit still and don't always have someone to go with me :) We currently love target because the twins can sit in that 2 seater cart!!!! Just thought I'd share another piece of info because I've been researching wraps... I decided on the baby k'tan breeze. From what I've read, it's like the Moby, but you don't have to do your own wrapping-it's essentially Pre-wrapped. And the "breeze" part means it has a breathable fabric :)

Ryann and Wishing-- Do either of you have an ergo baby carrying? I swear I could be a spokesperson for them I'm so crazy about those carriers. They aren't as great as a wrap from birth- 3 months but after that I thought the ergo was a lifesaver. My favorite part about the ergo is the ability to put the toddlers in it back-pack style. It might be a good solution for either of you to keep one of your twins in on your back (ie contained!). I often had to take the my two boys to the grocery shopping and my favorite way was to put the baby in the infant carrier on the cart and carry my toddler on my back. It was complete containment which means way better effiency. Now if this little bean grows I figure my 4 year old will walk, my now youngest will go in the backpack and the little bean will go in a snap n' go.

It takes some practice getting a toddler on your back without help but one you get it its easy. I used youtube to figure out how to do it the first time. When they hit about 2 1/2 it is super easy because they help by holding on. just another option....

sdtryingagain- Prayinf your next U/S gives you better news, nut I agree since you concieved natural the timing may be off so that is why they didnt see a heartbeat yet :) Ill find out abou the whooping cough Weds but the FLU is going viral here so that is my worse fear even though I got the flu shot people are saying I can still get it I just want to talk to Dr to get his response.

Tawny- Glad you are feeling more relaxed :)

Kynlee- I went for my checkup today and the nurse did talk to me about the Pertussis vaccination for whooping cough. Did you ever make a decision on what you are going to do about getting it? I was given the option of getting it in the hospital after I deliver. I think I may do that. But I think I am making my DH get it as well. I even told my mom, sister, and dad about getting it. Have a blast at your shower, you must be so excited!! Can't wait to hear about it!

Always - How are you feeling? How are you handling bed rest?

Hope everyone else is doing well!!

AFM - Went for my checkup today. They told me I gained over 10 pounds in the last 3 weeks!!!! I was freaking out. I don't feel it and everyone keeps telling me how small I am for 30 weeks... I think I am retaining water. I can barely get my rings on in the morning and I can't wear high boots anymore b/c I can't zipper them up.... my blood pressure was kinda high too. So then I asked about my glucose testing and they nurse told me they never got the results, I was pissed. Shouldn't they know I went? So they called the lab I went to to have the results faxed over but they weren't there by the time I left.

Ryan-- a close girlfriend of mine loves the k'tan!

Madam x- that is frustrating about your diabetes labs. My first pregnancy the office always had trouble getting me my info so I ended up changing. I hope your blood pressure turns out to be okay and that you don't end up with too much swelling. Keep us posted. We ask all our family to get both pertussis and flu shots too. It's good for the kids and the world at large (at least according to the CDC)

Always- how are ya. Bedrest is so hard especially when you are worried about your babe. We'll be praying that your little one is growing and developing just fine

Kynlee- thanks for keeping me positive:) I would be at such a better place if I could have just seen that little flicker but at least it is so much easier with this being number 3 and natural. I know it shouldn't be any different, a baby is a baby. But it is different to me, the emotional and financial investment with ivf not to mention being jacked up on hormones and desperate for a family just create a perfect storm for insanity for me in the past so this time around it is easier for sure.

Tawny- how are those twins?

To have fun- how are you, dear?

AFM- I need a group opinion. I'm going to my u/s on Thursday. My husband can't come. My MILis going to watch my youngest which puts me going to the scan alone. If there is no heartbeat, it is going to be really hard to hear that news alone. My MIL offered to come in the room holding my 14 mth old. What do you think? Too many people in the room? Weird to have MIL in the room for a vag u/s??? I can't decide. We're really close since I don 't have much of a relationship with my own but still a vag u/s is about as personal as it gets, right? I just don 't want to be alone in that room for bad news.
