So I just found the post from Lauren on the old thread......that is what happened to me with the second IVF, was prego, numbers looked great, saw heartbeat, then a week and 1/2 later, no heartbeat and she had stopped growing. We found out later that it was because there was a chromosomal issue with her, it wasn't genetic, it was a "text book" case of old eggs....I don't remember the term they used but it meant old eggs. We did the D&C so that we could do genetic testing to see what happened. Very, very tough time. I keep everyone in my prayers, but will definitely saw a few extra ones for her right now.

I'm sorry girls really cannot function normally right now. Did sleep until 10:30 today and my injections are giving me heartburn. I'm having a difficult time battling with headaches and hot-flashes but will try to touch base tomorrow. I am reading and staying updated, for now let's try to take it easy on ourselves and get through this week.

Laura!! Glad AF is visiting you! Still waiting for her on my end. She was suppose to come today, instead I got major sharp pains in my lower abdomen. Oh well. We'll see what happens over the next few days.
Sunshine...I hope you start feeling better quick...maybe treat yourself to a hot chocolate, or milk shake or something you usually don't have. May make things a little better, just a tiny bit?!?
Sad to hear about Lauren. :(
AFM..nothing on my end. Just wanted to say that I am glad that I found this thread and you girls. Have a good night...as good as you can and a WHIMSICAL Day tomorrow.

Sunshine- sorry the Lupron is wreaking havoc on you. The things we do to get pregnant! I got my calendar and dang, so the Lupron is twice as much as I took last time, so we will see, I may be all crazy once I start them! So if all the planets align and things look right, here is my schedule:
BCP- Started today- Feb 16th
Sono- Feb 11th
Lupron- 20 starting 2/12-2/25
Sono/E2 levels- Feb 19th
Estrogen patches/Estrogen pill- Feb 19th after visit
Sono/E2 levels- March 5th
Transfer March 11th
So the transfer could be the 11th, 12th or 13th, but as long as my lining looks good on the 5th and my E2 levels are cool, then I can pick, and of course I want to pick the soonest I can do it. My RE prefers to do FET's on Monday, Tuesdays or Wednesdays. I need to make sure that I can schedule my acupuncture the same day, so I'm working closely with them as well. My preference would be to go get poked, go directly to the clinic, get pregnant, then go directly back to the acupuncture clinic, get poked again, then go home and hibernate for a couple of days :D

WhimsyDae- I bet the pains are AF on her way....I will do the dance for you and hopefully she will show up tomorrow. I still think it's funny that for so many years I would pray I wouldn't get my period, now I pray to get it, then start praying again not to get it....ha! I'm sure people on the outside think we are totally nuts and I'm cool with that, it keeps them guessing what we will do next

You ladies have a great evening and week. Laura

Hi everyone!

Im a 26 years old. Had cancer before and dont have uterus, so I cant have a baby at all.. My sister is a wonderful woman (she is in her late 30's mother of 2) and she is giving me her egg and will carry the baby. Whe had her IVF 2 weeks ago. Had cramps the day before and yesterday the test said its negative :(
Im heartbroken and now we are going to the second round. IM really sad because she had 6 eggs taken out, 4 was fertilized and when they did the check up they said only one is healthy... What we couldnt believe...

She is so healthy, still young, no smoking , no drinking, eathing healthy, living healthy... I really hope second time will happen because it is so expensive we already took loan.. and thats our only chance to have atl least gen in the baby from my bf... :(

And sorry for grammar mistakes im from Hungary.. but havent found good forums where i can talk about loss, hope, experience... Only one friend knows what im going through but i wish i could yell to the whole world to hear just because im smiling and joking im going through all these... :(

Hope87- Welcome to the board. I am so sorry to hear about the negative test....those suck so much! Please know that we are all here to support you, you can yell, vent, laugh, cry, whatever you feel like on here. We know that the emotions run like crazy during this time. Will the doctors be doing any testing on her to find out why maybe it didn't stick? or maybe they will change what meds and amounts she is on? What was her protocal? which meds did they have her use and how much?

Hope87- First of all I'm very glad you found us here, I can promise you will find a world of tremendous support here. I cannot even begin to imagine what you went through with cancer but it sounds like you like a surviver my nature. It take a very strong person to go through chemotherapy, but your determination will take you so far in life. You must have the best sister in the whole world, I'm glad you have her in your life too. I know she wants this just as much as you do and it's heartbreaking when we have so much expectation. I know you both were disappointed that the first IVF didn't take, but I am glad you aren't giving up. I can tell you this does take time... Sometimes the RE has to change up the protocal to figure out which fertility meds your sister responds best to giving her the best outcome. We went to a long lupron cycle but each patient stims differently so I'm thinking the doctor will change up her protocal for the next cycle. I hope you can go with her on the next consultation and ask some questions too but we are here too. Most of all, stay determined and keep your chin up. We will absolutely help you get through this, it may take some time but you will see in the end this will all be worth it. You may even feel lost at times but our support here and the faith we will help us get through so much. One thing about this journey is there are some heartaches along the way but for the ones who don't give up and keep the faith will find out it was all worth it in the end. Jer 29:11

LaureN- Yelp the things we do to get pregnant... it sounds like you have a lupron increase too but the best advice from Patricia (Ninde) is drink plenty of water...Her advice will help you too. Lol I think I'm finally getting used to the med, maybe it was in my head earlier no definately not the hotflashes though. But I do blame lupron for my crazy emotional moments. So excted to finally get the calender with everything all lined up, I bet FETs are going to be easier! I have noticed less sNs appts which is fine by me. It's going to be so weird going in for baseline next week and on the screen seeing no activity, so used to measuring follicles which we did for fresh cycles. Maybe FETs are going be a walk in the park compared to fresh? All that matters is the outcome we so long desire but one thing I've gained from his journey is patience and nuttiness.

WhimseyDae- Hey girl I'm still over here doing the AF dance for you, it has to be any day now. You sound very good with the sewing machine. What are some of your favorite things to sew? I had a dream 2 nights ago that inspired me to make a dress, I can envision something and trace a pattern and make it lol although sometimes it's not the right size and then I give it to my neighbor's little girl. I can sew a little, I made my neighbors little girl Annabelle a dress last summer. It took me forever and yes I actually used a hancock pattern for the first time, but then I added beading around the neckline...so washing it I knew would be a dilemma. lol she wore it all summer and when I asked her about washing it she said she hasn't washed it yet. lol it was a teal/brown/white floral sundress. I miss Annabelle I haven't seen her since Christmas, I need to call her and see if she wants to come over to help me decorate for Valentine's Day, maybe bake cookies and cupcakes for the girls I work with. That's what I could plan for next week, hopefully if she isn't at her dad's. But I'm glad you volunteer, which organizations do you enjoy volunteering the most with? I did a little volunteer work w/The Rescue Mission "Klothes for Kids," and dh and I also did a food drive with my church/ toy drive with them around the holidays it's rewarding isn't it?

AFM: I celebrated last night for being the last night of bcp...Dh never had seen me so happy no more of that tiny pill for now! Ha I hope I never look at another bcp the rest of our life but we'll see. Feeling much better today but so windy out that I may stay home and just clean on my off day, well see!

Thanks for the support!

Im not sure what was the med she was taking. But it started that she received some pills and then 3 weeks she had to have this shots into her belly every morning and evening.
She said in the beginning she felt her boobs were hurting and she had that before during her pregnancy so it was a good sign. But she never felt it anymore.. so she said probably the embryo was already gone by the time she had the cramps.

We are going on monday to discuss what happened. We also changing the doctor because we were told he is the best.. but he was just going for the money.. Could never reach him.. and when i tried today like 6 times he only said " Yes i saw it was negative..im sorry" but the way he said it made me want him punch in the face.. His colleague was much nicer to my sister so i hope we will receive more information from him.

When i had cancer i was only 2 years old, so i really dont remember... just a big scar reminds me to that.. But my mom said the doctors said they dont see too much chance.. And I grew up my sister always told me she will be there for me if time is right for having a baby. Im glad I have her,, and also my boyfriend who did not turn away from me . We are only together for 3 years but since my sister is getting older we decided lets do this.

So we are going on monday and then I will have more information whats gonna happen.

Hope87- I'll be interested to hear what they have to say on Monday to you guys. I know sometimes the doctors don't have the best bed side manners. We have two doctors in our clinic, one, we love, he's sweet, funny, great bedside manner.....the other one, God bless his soul.....we call him Dr Killjoy. He is an awesome doctor and is sooooo super smart, but geez, his bedside manner...... he is just kinda blunt and to the point and doesn't sugar coat stuff. He also doesn't like it when people cry, which I find very funny in his line of business, we are so full of emotion all of the time. I remember before we even started the first treatment, when they started talking about the shots, I started to cry. He walked in, went "oh", walked out and told the nurse maybe I needed some Xanax if it was going to scare me that bad. But, he is a great doctor and I trust him. I have learned that he eases up some when I bring in his favorite cookies  I know this is a hard time, and just let yourself feel the hurt, the anger, the questioning, everything.

Sunshine- you know, it might be the combo of the lupron with your pill that was making you all crazy....maybe now that you have taken the last pill you will get back to sorta normal. :D

Nothing new for me....... just keep taking the pill.....and by the way, the pill makes me kinda crabby....this should be fun. Ready for the ride!

LaureN- It was the combo, but maybe if we could add a little wine everything would be okay. I didn't like the bcp AT ALL,I think my body completely rejected them anyway, with spotting I went through so many panty liners it was ridiculous. I had the 3 week pack so my body was completely out of wack. Btw I had a Dr. Moneypit when I asked him why my first IVF didn't work, he said life is not 100% guaranteed, I said it should be as much money as we are dishing out. He told me another couple backed out when they heard it was going to cost 15 grand for one cycle, the husband turned to the wife and said honey let's buy a yacht instead so they went out and did. I had one IVF, then tried iui because it was all we could afford. I remember on our last iui while I had my butt in the air with legs all propped up, in walked my nurse and told me I need to be thinking about my next step. All I could think was WOW...so this is why I left the first clinic and moved to one that is 2.5 hours away from my home located in Mobile, AL. Not only that, when I was talking to my obgyn last year about everything that happened he highly recommended a clinic but one that offers the ATTAIN program so it's the best move I've made. So here's how my ET day will be, after signed in, the embryologist comes over to chat with us and gives us a picture of the embi-report. Then I'm wheeled into the operating room and 4 nurses are by my side cheering us on. I told them next time someone must bring popcorn for the show. lol After the procedure they have me rest for 30 minutes and someone comes by to check on me and keeps me company, it's such a warm fuzzy feeling I almost don't want to leave. Where is your clinic based Lauren?

WhimseyDae- I also read you make quilts that would be neat to learn. I went on youtube and learned to crochet last year, made half of a blanket and ran out of yarn. I need some motivation though. The weather was rough today, we had a major thundestorm that riped out the screen I had stapled in my gazebo and knocked over my dad's grill. But that was nothing in comparison to my old hometown back in Adairsville, Ga. A tornado touched down and all day I was on the phone checking in on my friends up there. 100 cars were overturned at I-75, roofs were ripped off peoples houses...several families are seeking shelter tonight. This happened no more then 3 miles from my old house, Adairsville is a complete disaster right now, I'm glad nobody was severely injured, at the same time it's going to take a while to get things back to normal. Tomorrow marks what would had been my dad's birthday, I cannot seem to get that off my mind. I work tomorrow maybe a distraction will be good, I just hope we don't have any more emotional meltdowns, but it's still early, these meds are evil. It's going to take alot of relaxing baths to keep me calm this week.

Hope- Looking forward to hearing what the doctor recommends for your next cycle next week. We're here for you too!

Sunshine: I was studying tourism and hotel management and i had my first internship in Colorado Springs, CO. I fell in love with the states by traveling and having great friends.. so I decided to go back (as intern) again and i got to go to Alabama. I was working at the Grand Hotel in Point Clear as Red Coat concierge and hostess and so on..

My boyfriend's mom was from the US but she passed away. He still has grandma there and cousins and his uncle lives there, since he married with an american woman. So its a big family all around :)

How long do you have to wait usually between the IVF-s? And from where you have to start again? With all the hormon shots? I mean we started the whole thing with the doctor appointments in september.. to get all check ups we were done by november.. and then she started the hormon shots and on 16th of January was the embryio transfer.
