Lauren - are you okay? Still checking here sometimes. I'm so sorry for your loss.

AFM - surgical hysteroscopy today went PERFECTLY! There were two small adhesions, the surgeon said that he opened them up and that should be it - we can start the IVF again as soon as AF shows up (in about 2 weeks, but I'll be doing a long Lupron cycle, so it'll be a while until we get to ER/ET).

YAY!

Yes Lauren you're certainly in our thoughts...I hope you know we're always here if or when you need someone to talk to.

Leora- So glad the surgery went over perfectly today! You must be sore, get plenty of rest.

AFM: I'm zapped out completely. One girl called in sick with the flu today, and maybe it was just me and the lupron, but the customers seemed so needy today. My nerves are shot, I've locked myself in the bedroom for the rest of the night.

Morning all!

Leora- I'm so glad the surgery went well, that is awesome news! So at what point will you be able to move to donor eggs/embryos- I know you are going through all of the paperwork now. That is exciting that you can start another round soon.

Sunshine- Lord have mercy on your Lupron heart...hehehehehe, don't people get that we need tender loving care? The flu/strep/sinus infections are going around like crazy here. It seems like everyone is sick. Both my boys are sick and my husband is sick, but no one can figure out with what.....he seems to have symptoms of all of it, but no fever, so they can't figure him out. Oh well, maybe he is just wanting babying right now and not have to do stuff around the house

Still on the BCP..... I have my sono Monday then start the Lupron Tuesday. I'm excited about going gambling tomorrow. It's all crazy because my son is sick, but he doesn't care.....to be 21 again.....well, maybe for 1 night I will pretend I'm 21 again.

You guys have a great day!

BFN today. I'm taking it okay. I knew it would be negative. I kind of just felt it. I go back in next Friday to talk about the next move. DH says he's not giving up. I love that man! I am a little relieved to stop the progesterone shots though.

Melissa,
I'm so sorry to hear this, and it's never easy swallowing BFN even when we already know ahead of time. I still cry my eyes out, it's like I'm in denial even when I POAS but then hearing it from the Dr's office makes it reality but not what I want to hear and that makes it hard to accept. I wish none of us had to go through IVF, we're so deserving and it's heartwretching that sometimes we feel like staying under the covers so we won't have to face anything else. But we know if we don't try again we'll never know what could had been...One thing it has taught me is I can fight for it with everything I have, it's not going to happen when I want it to. This journey will teach us to hold onto patience, endurance but all in all faith and to believe it's going to happen when the timing is right. Sometimes when we are at our weakest, and I've been there so many times myself, just praying can bring us a sense of peace and strength to keep going. I'm not an overly religious person but I do believe in the power of prayer. The support here will help you in so many ways. You have us and your sweet dh who's strong and supportive and not letting you give up. I'll certainly be staying close by cheering you on too.

Hey it's my first time here but I figured I may want someone to sympathize with going though ivf the first time. Not entirely sure what to expect seeing as how I've done iui with what should have been really good results, lots of good size follicles (almost too many) and a good sperm donation from my husband. All negative tests. I've already started the birth control and should get my calendar set up on the 18th.
Good luck to everyone.

Welcome Sarah to the IVF world! I'm glad you are joining us! This is a great forum for asking questions and the support here will get you through so much. I sympathize with the girls some too because we can relate, sometimes I feel my coworkers have no clue what this is all about but they know how much it means to me. But still I feel unless you are going through IVF, you cannot grasp it entirely. Anyway I wanted to send you a warm welcome and tell you I look forward to getting to know you too. Ha I'm not serious half the time, but this journey can do that I will warn you, sometimes the meds can have a toll on the emotions, well what am I saying so did clomid right? Well the best thing we can do is keep our health and sanity or tell our husbands to run and hide! hehe mine often tells me he knows more about this gyno-fertility RE stuff then he ever wanted to know. :D Welcome again!
How is everyone doing, I know we have some stalkers around here too! :D
AFM: Baseline appt was this morning, checkout normal, we decreased lupron to 10units today. FET tentatively scheduled 2/25. It's creeping up on me since work is keeping me busy, D next appt for monitoring will be 2/15.

Nicole! Oh it's so good to hear from you, How have you been? I am excited to hear you are cycling soon too! It's good we can stay connected, I think the last time we were talking was around Halloween something about a costume marathon. Man has the time flown..I cannot wait to cheer you on come March! :D

LauraN- How was the gambling experience and your son's birthday I hope you brought home some money! lol I once went to a business meeting over in Biloxi and played the slot machines the whole time, I know pretty risky, right? Oh Well it was fun getting all dressed up and playing with $10 for nearly 2 minutes. Even though dh and I have two furbabies named Blackjack and Vegas we don't gamble much, but it's fun to go every once in a while. :D

Leora- I'm glad you will be starting again soon. As for AF I wish we had a set date, the worse thing is going for a pap smear, annual checkup and due to the abnormality not knowing when she's coming. Yikes if only we can make it through Monday without having an eventful day. Anyway been thinking of you!

AFM: Nothing exciting to report, started estrogen patches last night, 10 units of lupron...this cycle is really flying by I don't even have time to over-analyze everything like I normally do, but FETs seem less stressful then going through a fresh cycle. My body won't feel tramatized at least...Anyway 2 weeks, 2 days away until showtime!

Christy - yes, FETs are MUCH easier -- just oral tablets for me (not even any Lupron) and soooo much less stress about what's going on (ie, follicle growing). Fingers crossed for you!

AFM - SnS on Thursday -- I hope I ovulated so that I can start down-regging for my fresh cycle!

Hello everyone! I don't want to spam this site, but I just wanted to stop in and wish you the best on your IVF!

I have a lot of experience with IVF myself, and want to actively help people who are going through with process.

I've got a website up that I'm filling up with IVF resources:

Leora- Thank you, I'm really praying this is THE one but IF not we still have 4 more cycles before my 38th birthday with the ATTAIN contract. I saw the previous post from Hawaii_First and I didn't click on it because I'm cautious about viruses on the computer. I hope others read this post and are careful to.

Good evening all!
@Sunshine: Quilting is easy, if you know how to sew at all, you can learn how to quilt. Even if you don't know how to sew, you can easily learn!! I promise. I am glad that you are doing a little better now though!

@Sariah: Welcome! Best wishes and baby dust to you as you start your adventure with us!

@Melissa: So sorry to hear about your negative result. Keep us posted about your appointment on Friday.

AFM: Glory be to Jesus!! AF came in this afternoon right after we got home from our trip through the nice snow storm forecasters have been predicting for the last week! So I will be calling to schedule Day 3 labs in the morning. Other than that, nothing new to report on my end.

I hope all you lovely ladies have a fabulous Monday. Valentine's Day is Thursday...what is everyone doing to celebrate?!?!

WhimseyDae- lol I wouldn't know where to begin on making a quilt. My grandmother hand-stitiched one I can tell every little detail in the Easter quilt she made for dh and me and it's beautiful but I could never do that by hand. I use to cross-stitch when I was in 5th grade but that was soooo long ago. I might could make a handbag and start small lol. I do have a sewing machine and sew some though so yes this could be done manually.
Valentine's Day- hmmm I'm working but planning on making the girls there some red velvet cupcakes and brownies. I wish I could say dh and I had plans...I have bought some sparkling white grape juice and might plan something with dh that night but most likely staying in for the evening, nothing too wild. What are you doing?

AFM: It's going to be another busy week...Tomorrow I have the obgyn annual checkup and working up until Friday. Come Friday I have an appt with the clinic for monitoring...Tonight I was looking through the meds and when my nurse called everything in she said I would just need one more box of vivelle patches. Well it turns out according to my protocal calender I will need 20 more patches. I'll start applying 4 patches every two days come Thursday, meaning right now I have enough to only get me through 2/19. Ugh I guess I need to get back on the phone with MDR tomorrow. Glad I checked on my meds tonight whether then later.

Hi all! Crazy busy weekend and already this week has been super busy. We ended up cancelling our gambling trip because my son was sick and my husband was still sick. Then guess who gets sick Sat? yep- me. Luckily mine didn't last as long as theirs....I'm still not 100% but can function...mostly. I had my baseline sono yesterday, it went well. I started the Lupron this morning. 1 shot down, 13 more to do....at least in the stomach. My next appt is on the 19th where they will suck out all my blood and check my estrogen levels and do a sono to make sure all is well in there. I start the estrogen patches and pills on the 19th.

Sunshine- your FET is coming up really super soon! How exciting. I think your FET day is my last Lupron shot. Can't wait!

Leora- I'm glad things are looking good and you can start your cycle soon.

Sam- Welcome! I hope you can find all the support you want and need with us on here.

Whimsy- yeah on AF!!!!!

Nicole- hey girl! When in March do you think it will be? My FET should be March 11th. I hope all is well with you.

Melissa- sorry about the BFN- those suck! Let us know how your follow up goes.

Well, still crazy busy around here with our company. They will be here until March 1, so I still get a couple of more weeks of playing with the kids. Last night we were drawing on a chalk board that I made, and he would giggle everytime I would draw what he asked me too. I am still not sure if he was laughing because my drawing ability is quite lacking or giggling out of delight. I'm just going to pretend it was out of delight  Well, I have to turn around and work.....although I would prefer to have the next month off so that I could just obsess over this cycle and do nothing......but my boss probably wouldn't appreciate that  Have a great one today!
