Things are pretty calm on my front. They've had me on the BC but I've still had a week's worth of breakthrough bleeding. Not fair I have to take the birth control (which often makes me crazy emotional) and still have to have a period at the same time.

Whimsy- I saw that you quilt. So do I. Mainly just baby quilts since I piece and machine quilt them. Occasionally I'll do a bigger quilt and inevitably end up reminding myself why I prefer baby quilts. Actually I need to start one in the next couple days for my cousin who's expecting.

Good luck!

Good evening ladies!!
@Sariah: I actually don't do too many baby quilts, I make diaper bags and burp cloths and other baby items. I am thinking about learning how to do long arm quilting, so it goes easier for quilting the bigger ones. I mainly make lap size quilts and just draw out the quilting pattern and try very hard to follow it! LOL or I just hand quilt it, which isn't too bad, I guess.

@Sunshine: I think we are going to make pizzas together for Valentine's Day. I asked my husband if he would dance with me, so we'll see if we do or not. Otherwise we just buy each other a card and exchange them with one another...that is my only demand!

AFM: I had Day 3 labs this morning, results were good. I spoke to our IVF coordinator this afternoon and got a better idea of what the heck we are doing! I start my BC tonight and will do 2 rounds of that. We are scheduled for my sonohysterogram and physician consent on March 14th. She said that we are scheduled for the April cycle for egg retrieval and transfer. This sh*t is getting real! LOL We have decided not to really discuss anything with our family and friends, we want to be able to at least surprise them a little, so I just couldn't wait to come on here and share with you gals. I was a little disappointed that the lab didn't have fun bandaids, so I am going to buy my own and bring them with! My lab lady did draw a smily face on my band aid though...that was nice of her! Trying to make the little things fun!! LOL

Have a wonderful night!

perfection!

I just ovulated - as shown by this morning's u/s and blood test.

I start my Decapeptyl (down-reg medication, like Lupron) tonight and keep taking it until AF shows up (in about 10 days), then I go for a baseline to start stims.

YEEEHAW! Let's get this party started!

(hard to think that in 5 weeks or so, if I get a BFN, that it'll be a collassal waste of time and energy...starting today...)

Thank you Rypell for checking in tonight, your support truly means so much to us!
Been thinking about Kynlee all evening too, I've posted on the PAT board what's going on but we need to keep her in our prayers. Leora you are moving right along, PERFECT indeed I cannot wait to cheer you and Patricia on! Whimsey- I think your Valentine demand is reasonable, lol I forewarned mine today that he better at least bring me home a valentine card. He's usually creative/romantic but so much is on his plate right now. My gift will be A fabulous trip to the clinic for my transfer instead of his parents taking me. lol Sara sounds like a double wammy what is up with bcp bringing on AF anyway. I thought that's what Provera was for? lol LaureN, you are right around the corner too with meds starting next week and I'm sure those kids AND work TOGETHER will really help time fly by. But I'm like you I'd whether just sit around here in my pjs obsess about IVF. :D But instead I baked red velvet cupcakes tonight and lol I added too much butter to the batter,,,oh well if my labrador retrievers don't find them first I will have cupcakes for work tomorrow. Nothing like hyping the girls up on sugar at work, good times! Might as well make it fun while we're away from IVF, it could be good for the soul?

I wanted to share something wonderful from Ralph Waldo Emerson that sums up a great track to run on.

“It is one of the most beautiful compensations of this life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.”

If you desire peace for others, you’ll receive it. If you want others to feel loved, you’ll be the recipient of love. If you see only beauty and worthiness in others, you’ll have the same returned to you. You’ll only give away what you have in your heart, and attract what you’re giving away. Your impact on others—whether it be strangers, family members, co-workers, or neighbors—is evidence of the strength of your connection to Source. Think of your relationships in terms of holy or unholy.

Sdtrying- You've been on mind here lately, I hope each day brings you closer to a renewed mind and clear thoughts before speaking with the RE. But if not call me up and I'll go with you to give him a piece of my mind too! I always thought these guys should have a reason behind everything but in IVF we learn it's not fair and it's ok to get mad and let it all out, we get that here. Just know we are always here for you. Plus I'm anxious to hear what your next steps might be once you get there and you will. X

LauraN- How are you feeling today? I hate it that your plans for ds's birthday were cancelled, I know he did too, but it's never too late to celebrate. My nieces birthday is tomorrow wow she will be 13, dh and I were just getting engaged when she was born lol 1999 was a big year for my family. Anyway I hope this year will be our bigger year with lots of babies on here!

WhimseyDae- Yes ma'am it's all getting REAL... April will be here before you know it!! How were the pizzas?

AFM: I hope you ladies had a wonderful Valentine's Day! This morning my coworker and I made a trip to Target and we bought a ton of Valentine candy, some sparkling juice and new tablecloth to go with my cupcakes...I was laughing so hard bc she bought like 7 boxes of sweetheart candy and the confection hearts I mean so much candy... but everyone loved it! Dh surprised me with a clean house, peach roses, a card with a subscription to InStyle magazine (lol told me he's tired of me spending $5 for a copy at the grocery store.) We had sphagetti he prepared but it was so funny when I called him on my way home he read my mind that this was what I wanted to have for dinner so everything was all ready when I got home from work. So nice. Tomorrow I go in for my monitoring session and then hopefully catchup on some sleep. Can you believe the weekend is already here?

Hello all! I hope everyone's Valentines Day was great. We don't really do a whole lot for any holiday...not for any reason other than we just don't. I did buy a little pillow/stuffed animal for the 2 yr old staying with us. He liked it a lot. I spent most of my Valentines rocking the baby because she didn't feel well and her mamma didn't feel good either. My DH and I sat in bed watching our shows that we record while I rocked the baby and sometimes he would take her and rock her. It was nice. So my DH, I asked him how he was with the kids in the house, and he said he loved the sounds, even the crying, but that it sometimes made him sad that they weren't from our kids. I am really praying that this cycle works. This journey has been so tough and heart breaking. I know that it has been for all of us, no matter how long or how many cycles we've been through. I am praying that all of our upcoming cycles are successful.

Leora- way to go ovulating! It's exciting that you are starting your cycle, but totally understand how you may not be seeing the silver lining of what if it does work..... It sounds like your body is cooperating more this time so maybe it will work and the baby will stick around for 9 months in there :D

Sunshine- Now I'm hungry for spaghetti! Sounds like you had a great evening. Your DH sounds very sweet. My DH brought home pizza for everyone from a place we hadn't gotten it from before and it was soooo yummy! I didn't feel like cooking and neither did he, so we decided pizza would work. We are going to do a nice dinner sometime over the weekend, it's just a little more difficult to do things during the week, with work and now with the extra company. I can't believe it's getting so close to your transfer date! It seems weird not doing more for a cycle, I guess with me doing acupuncture, at least I'm doing more than my last cycles. I think my Lupron is making me crazy tired! I swear within 30 minutes of the shot, I am so tired like I never slept, and then it sticks around until around 1 PM.

AFM- not much going on. Doing my acupuncture 2 times per week right now, which I look forward to a lot. I go in Tuesday for another sono and then bloodwork. I will start my estrogen patches and pills on Tuesday after the appt too. Hopefully my bloodwork looks good and my lining looks good so that we can keep everything on track. I've already requested the transfer date and the 2 days after it off, so I don't want to have to cancel it and re-ask for a different date :D Sorry if I left anyone out, I think about you guys daily and pray for everyone daily. Baby dust to all of us!

I went in for bloodwork today she said my E2 levels are at 295... I asked the nurse she said anwhere between 200-300 so she said stay on the vivelle patches change them out again tomorrow with 4 of them...I feel like I'm going through these so fast. Anyway nurse also said to hold off on the progesterone shots until I here back from her on 2/21 which is when I go back for my bw. Today after my appt I went to Destin and spent the day there it was so gorgeous out on Harbour Walk, had lunch at an italian restaurant, did a little shopping but wished dh could had joined me. So many girls are cycling this month at my clinic the waiting room was full even some guys were there. I had so much water this morning in hope my bloodwork would go smoother. So I really had to pee but knew the restroom was back behind the hallway door where patients are called back to empty their bladder first. One patient with her husband brought in their 3 yr old daughter. I didn't at first mind but then she started crying pretty loudly and it made me uncomfortable so I got up and left the room went down the elevator to the restroom downstairs...I guess that made a scene bc when I got back upstairs the husband had his little girl out in the hallway and he nodded at me as I walked by. I found a Lucky magazine to calm my nerves and moments later then the nurse called me back as Angela and today was the first time in 36 yrs I have ever corrected anyone for calling me the wrong name. My nickname is on the chart in parathesis...but anyway I blame my moodiness on this estrogen for sure. I also made a scene today while at a sister store with the company I'm employed with bc nobody greeted me when I walked in. These things are something I normally wouldn't do, but it bothered me so I really let them know.l ok that was my day in a nutshell, I
I promise to post more this weekend when my mind isn't shot from all the meds.

So I've done 4 Decapeptyl shots now - and I'm thinking something is wrong because I usually get huge bruises where I inject, and I have NO bruises from this. I'm trying to decide if this is a good enough reason to call my doctor, or I'm just being crazy. They are kinda idiot-proof injections (pre-filled syringe with the needle already in place) and I just pop off the lid and stick it in. I'm sticking the needle all the way in, but no bruise. Weird.

In any case -- waiting for AF, but it should be a long wait. Hopefully by next weekend!

Hello Ladies,

I have been stalking you all to see what is going on and at the same time humming and haaing about starting to post with others about my up coming cycle.

Some of you may remember me from last year or know me from the IVF Gals on facebook. I cycled with Tonya her first cycle. I am 44 with 2 daughters naturally from my 20's. Remarried 6 years ago. Had DS with IVF #1 in May 2011(age 42). FET ended in M/S this past Sept. Now we are moving on to DE from a Frozen egg bank.

I started BCP last week and am on the count down of 22 days till Lupron shots. ET is estimated for April 11 or 13. We will be using frozen donor eggs this round. Meds were ordered Friday and will be here in two weeks. We will receive 6 eggs with a guarantee of 2 grade A embryos on day 3 or we get a free cycle. My RE says this is the wave of the future with DE.

I am excited to get started. Praying this works for DS to have a sibling. Love the support I got last year and hope I can return the same to you ladies.

Welcome Back Suzyq! I hope this upcoming cycle brings ds a sibling, I think it's great that we have options out there and can make this dream possible. I never would had thought 10 yrs ago that I would be sitting here going through IVF, but it's amazing with the resources around us how far we've come. Anyway I am anxious for 2013 to be our year and will be around to cheer you on....April will be here before we know it! :D

Leora- How was the shot this morning? It took me 3 jabs before I found a comfortable spot, it seems like my belly has tightened and the needle doesn't want to go in. Today was my last belly shot, now I'll start the pain in the butt shots this weekend...Just counting the days down!

LauraN- I'm really praying this is your time too! I know what you mean about hearing baby crying and it's bittersweet coming from your own house. Someday, it's going to seem so surreal that you just want believe it's real...I'm looking forward to that moment too and it's going to come one way or another! We will keep looking forward and find the perfect resource to make THIS dream possible. Keep us posted on how everything goes at the doctor appt Tuesday, will be thinking of you!

AFM: I spoke to Kynlee this afternoon, she's still in the ICU but they are monitoring her blood pressure and taking such good care of her. They take her by wheelchair up to see her new son AND she gets to hold him. Said Keegan is doing just fine. She hopes to be able to come home on Tuesday, I told her I would call then and check up on her. God is so good. I knew there was a reason He brought us all together right here, our paths together have made us stronger.

Sending much love to this support group!

Suzyq- we look forward to chatting with you! :D

Julia73- I do remember cycling with you...WOW he's already 12 weeks old, time sure gets away from us! Thank you for bringing us so much encouragement over here, it means so much! :D

AFM: Those estrogen patches I cannot stop scratching tonight. Can only change them out every other day so that will have to wait until tomorrow morning. Did I mention I'm done with lupron shots? Next appt is Thursday, estimated ET on Monday. It's almost here but I'm being cautiously optimistic. I hope everybody else is doing well tonight. :D
