quick post ladies! I'm so excited for all the good things going on and I can't wait to see all the BFP rolling in (BFP= big fat postiive)!! I stalking you daily :)

Sunshine-- I had to say thank-you for your thoughtful post. It gave me tears because you described what I was feeling so exactly. Thank-you, thank-you for your support!! It is always amazing to me that I have so many good friends who are loving and supportive but this board is where I come to hear what I need to hear. hugs! So how is your pregnancy treating you? I always loved being PUPO especially with my first IVF. When they put that little embie inside me I thought, FINALLY!! I got pregnant!!! I sat there for my bedrest and just loved up being PUPO :) of course after a bit the waiting for the beta brings us to crazy town, but at least for a bit please rub your womb and enjoy being PUPO. tell your DH that you need to be waited on hand and foot in your "condition" hee-hee

I am so bummmmed. I posted earlier and it is gone. Yesterday I double posted and today it disappears. LAMOOOOOO!!!

Here goes again.

Sunshine- Enjoy the down time. I took it easy with my first cycle and got DS. Did not with FET and M/S at 8 weeks. So make that man work...... I am sitting on my butt for 2 days this time. My DH is a stock broker/financial adviser. He loves his job. It was tough the first few years till be built up his client list, but great now.If your DH is up for the challenge I hope he goes for it. DD will be attending Brigham Young in Provo. It is a hard school to get into and requires a minimum ACT score of 28.

Horsecrzgirl- Not into acupuncture, but know others who swear by it. I am getting massage this time. Just want to relax and take it easy. Congrats on the ET. Your right many have had BFPs with just one. Eat blueberries, pineapple core, and Brazilian nuts. All are supposed to help with implantation. You can put the first two in a fruit smoothie. Take it easy and enjoy being PUPO. (Pregnant until proven otherwise) Will you be peeing on a stick? I never do and it drives the girls crazy.

AFM- My meds arrived today. 11 Days till shots. Organized my drug stash and enjoyed looking at it. Sounds pretty sick. DH has to go to California for business on the 10th for a week and I am going to go just to get away. Now to make sure our room has a frig for my lupron.

Welcome horsecrzgirl and valeegirl!

I swear by acupuncture at ET. I had a great AP at my ET and got my BFP. I started going twice a week last week and will continue through the first couple of weeks of pregnancy. I really enjoy it though to so that helps.

Leora- thanks for the birthday wish. Its so funny how IVF has changed how I feel about birthdays. I always think about it bringing me one step closer to the next set of statistics and decreasing my odds. LOL.

Christy- How are you holding up with the 2ww??? I read your FB post about bed rest. I am going to go light on activity but no strict bed rest. Last time I laid out in the sun and got a little burned, watched hours of stand up, and just took it easy and I got my BFP.

AFM- Started stimming tonight! Gonal and Menopur. They are thinking that ER might be 3/10 and ET 3/12 which is so quick but I guess that is how I responded last time. Hope you are all doing well and sending you lots of love.

Sunshine~ I feel your bedrest pain! LOL It is so difficult to sit/lay around for me because I am so active. Sounds like you are getting pretty bored as well. I am sending positive thoughts your way!

Suzieq~ I can still see both your threads from yesterday… not sure why they aren’t showing up on your end. Thank you for the nutritional advice! YES I will totally POAS! I know they can be inaccurate, but I won't be able to resist! I already did before the transfer just to see how dark the line would be!!! Is the HCG shot the only one that really affects it?

Suzieq&Sdtryingagain~ I love PUPO… that’s too funny! These acronyms crack me up!

BlissfulCS~ I did end up doing acupuncture right after my ET. I figured it can’t hurt anything. It did help relax me. That coupled with meditation music helped me fall right asleep. Good luck with the stimming! Am I the only one who got horrible cramps from the stim meds?? Like bad PMS cramps for 4 days!!!

Anyone… any success stories on only one average grade embryo are very welcomed!!

Horse-- I think I already mentioned this but from what I remember my second son wasn't much to write home about as an embryo ;) I can't remember if he was "average" or if they considered him "good" I just know they the lab wasn't braggin about him much. I know my first son (first fresh cycle) I had two "good" embies and I just remember we had not nearly as much goodness the second fresh cycle. We still went ahead with a single transfer and had success!! We might do FET at some point with our other not so great embies and am still hoping for another babe someday!!

HI Ladies,
Heading into work soon...WIsh I had more time to post personals this morning but I have been about thinking you ladies. The 2ww can drive us nuts, Ninde sent me some relaxation tapes that are helping me sleep but I'm still anxious. The clinic called yesterday, left a vm told me my levels for estrogen were not what they expected them to be. Maybe they worded that wrong to me, idk but we played phone tag and then they finally called me back at work I was in the middle of a transaction I could only talk for a few seconds so it was not good timing. So then I called them back got the answering service and impatiently asked the answering service to put me through a nurse, enough already. When I finally got through, they said my levels were at 79 and needed to be between 100-200 at the point. So I asked them about putting me on estradiol bc that might be the problem...Maybe with the patches the estrogen wasn't getting into my bloodstream. The nurse said the estradiol would have to be absorbed in the stomach first and then eventually get into the bloodstream so her argument was the patches were more effective. So they increased the patch from 2 to 3...and told me to come in on March 7th, Thursday for another b/w to check the estrrogen, progesterone and pregnancy test. I was like couldn't they get me in there sooner, Thursday seems so far away. Plus with work that day, most likely take a hpt the morning of so I will know the results post them here and then go to work hoping that will distract me and I won't have to worry about the phone call because we will already know. I wish she had not called me yesterday only bc I was hoping to enjoy being PUPO for at least a week but this news is tough to swallow. Don't mean to look at the in a negative way. I blame my first IVF failure for having low estrogen right before the transfer. This time I have to protect myself from disappointment and it's not easy trying to be strong through it all. All the wait will most likely attempt me to purchase some POAS and then I can put an end to the worrying because I'll know, right? But then again what if it's too early, POAS just make me wonder how accurate they really are, and I cannot take the stress of knowing it's still too early. it takes so much strength to hang on and right now it's so hard. I need much strength to stay calm so please keep praying that I can find some peace and realize it's not the end.
Much Love to All, and I promise to post personals once I can get all my thoughts together...

Sunshine~ Don't lose hope. This whole process is very anxiety provoking!! I know it is very frustrating and it's worse trying to deal with it when you have extra hormonal stress to add to the equation. I don't understand why they can't get you in before Thursday, that does seem pretty far out. I am sorry you are going through this today :( we are here to support you through all this. Sending you lots of T&P!

Sunshine- that estrogen number is not bad at all. For my FET I was on 4 Vivelle patches every other day. They didn't check my levels, but I really don't think you should be too worried. Praying for you!

Horsecrzygirl- 1 embryo is all it takes! Plenty of "average" embryos have made beautiful babies!

I am here cheering you all on!

Lacey801~ Welcome!! You pretty much just jump in, that's what I did. I am pretty new as well. What is going on with you?

Sdtryingagain~ Thank you so much for your success story!! I think you may have mentioned it already, but I am not sure. I still like to hear it as a reminder not to lose hope or worry too much! That's good you were able to freeze some. What is the process with FET? How do they time the ET?

Welcome Lacy! I'm glad you found us over here! You'll find tons of support, encouagement as well as tons of crazy emotional ladies like myself! :D But I hope this journey brings us home our greatest dream!! We look forward to hearing more about what's going on with your cycle, how do you like your clinic?

Horsecrzygirl, Thank you! I know I wish I could go back in Monday to have the levels checked again just for reassurance if anything at all but at this point implantation either happened or it didn't. In preparation I have farewarned my mom, dh's parents and the girls at work so we don't get our hopes up too high. It's good to be cautiously optimistic but I've decided this cycle is now completely out my hands. I think I'm working that day so I'll hear the official news from the store but will be far away from a computer. Wish I could be off that day, but then again it's good not to be home alone when they call with the dreadful news too. I decided not to overanaylze it knowing I have no control at this moment and THE wait is the hardest part.
The FET is easier in that less medication is used bc stimming (growing follicles obviously isn't necessary). I started out with bcp for 3 weeks, then took 10 days worth of lupron shots, started out with 4 patches, the levels were too high so we decreased them to 2 patches and then the levels got too low so we went up to 3 patches last week. Progesterone support is started in the middle of the cycle. We are given a choice of the progesterone suppositories or shots but I found the inserts extremely messy so I changed over to the shots. Yup they are painful with the 22 gauge needle but found a heating pad really helps and this is done only once a day. How do they know you are ready for transfer? Ovuation isn't a factor for FETs but they monitor your bloodwork to make certain P4/E2 levels are where they need to be. All in all for the FET, I had 4 doctor appts this cycle. The best part of my FET was knowing the exact date for the transfer so I was able to tell dh one whole month in advance when to ask off and he was able to come with me on transfer day. Overall it's less stressful for the most part once you get over the shot part.

Wishingandhoping- Hi over there! I appreciate your input on the estrogen support, isn't it's crazy how obsessed we get lol maybe that's our adverse reaction to all the meds. Surely we can blame the hormonal meds for our dyfunctional behavior.

Blissy- How is stimming and all your follibabies? Cannot believe this is almost here, so excited for you!

AFM: My wait is down to 4 days...ugh do I dare test early? I want to but I don't want to if that makes any sense. I'll find out eventually but it's totally out of my control. I'm not ready to let it settle in right yet for sure. Even if it were positive which is highly not likely, I would still be worrying about the heartbeat and the baby growing properly but this comes from past experience. Ok I'm overthinking again, and I must stop doing that. Time will tell and my God has everything in His mighty hands.
