MrsTDub ~ Welcome!!! I had switched my RE too. Sometimes it's a nice fresh start and to get a different opinion.

Thanks Suzyq!! My name is Ginger V*e*r*z*w*y*v*e*l*t. Without the stars! Lol! Yep, my hubby should have taken my last name! Would have been easier! Should here how my 2nd and 3rd grade students would pronounce it. :)

I would like to join the FB group also. Name is Allie Witt.

I loved the staff at our first RE's office but we literally never saw the actual doctor. One time for the consultation and then never again! That may not be a big deal to most ppl, but I didn't like it! Made me feel like I was just a number! Did a little research and found this one and he actually turns out to be like number 7 in the US! We see HIM every time, I even have his cell number! The minute we walked out of our consult, we immediately felt like we had made the right decision! We were starting to be very doubtful and he completely renewed our faith that it could happen!
Since then, a few other things have sort of fallen into place and made us feel like it may be really meant to be this time! Of course we are aware that nothing is guaranteed, but we have a really good feeling!!

Hi everyone! Sorry I am between shifts so don't have much time to address everything. Congrats again to SUNSHINE!!! :D :D
Can I join the cool FB crew too???
Soooooo... I think my test may have been a false positive :( I worked last pm and slept today and tested when I woke up. I figured my urine would be most concentrated then. I actually only slept 3 hours, then woke up and tested and the line was lighter. I woke up 2 1/2 hours later and no line :( I guess there is still hope, but it's definitely discouraging. My beta is on Sunday... results on Monday :? Thank you all for your support!
I will write more and respond more personally after Sunday when I am off my stretch of night shifts.

Horsecrazy- I think 2 1/2 hours may not be long enough at this early stage. If you have seen two light lines it is very unlikely that you would have 2 false positives back to back. I think it will come back. Told you to stay away from those sticks!!!

Has anyone heard from sunshine? Last post I saw said she was spotting and now nothing. I am hoping she is going crazy celebrating and just doesn't have time to post!

Welcome MrsTDub! Here's to hoping that your first IVF is a successful one.

Christy - Hurray on your BFP! I saw that your beta was 95 - how many dpER are you? That's great! When is your next beta? Your u/s?

Allie (MrsTdub) - welcome :) I'll add you to the FB group. You said you are on Menopur, but you are probably also on something to stop you from ovulating too soon (Cetrotide/Ganirelix or Lupron/Synase). Don't worry -- early ovulation rarely rarely rarely happens in IVF these days! (When it was new, 30 years ago, ovulation was a big problem, but now there are drugs to make sure you only ovulate when you are supposed to!) I'm surprised your doctor won't do a fresh transfer at all. That seems weird. FETs are fewer drugs, yes, and easier -- but why wait an extra month or two?

Ginger - I tried finding you on FB, but I think you are set too private. You can try to find me! My last name is E**L**M**A**N

Horsecrazy - any news on new HPTs? When is your beta? Sometimes, when you are really early, a BFP can be a BFN because the levels are still so low it's hard to pick up on the test.

AFM - ER tomorrow! I'm so nervous about how many will fertilize, since 3 cycles ago, only 1 egg fertilized and last cycle only 2 did. So... hoping for lots of eggs -- and lots that fertilize!

Leora~ I sent you a FB request! Thanks! Sending positive thoughts and prayers that ER goes just the way it's supposed to so that you bring home a baby in 9 months.

AFM ~ not feeling well today at all so while resting I was looking up what to expect with a FET. Grace will be one in a few weeks so David and I are thinking maybe this summer doing our one and only FET.

Those of you who have already read this novel on Facebook will want to skip it... :D Except Leora and Horsecrazy. I have questions for you at the end.

You ladies are not going to believe this story. Let me start by saying that the weirdest thing about this is that on my way to my scan this morning I listened to a podcast of This American Life that was all about coincidences.

Act 1- I have my scan at a hospital an hour and a half away from my home. Have to leave the house at 6. Check Facebook before leaving briefly and see a close friend has a mom who was rushed to the hospital with a burst appendix. No time to respond or comment and its too early anyway. At scan I have a total of 23 follicles, same as before. 9 are bigger than 15 with the dominant at close to 20. Lining looks good. I think to myself... I bet we trigger tonight! I am relieved because I know that I only have meds to make it to a Sunday trigger and with it being Saturday I have no way of getting more meds if I need them. I am a self pay so its over $1000 for an additional day of meds. The nurse I talked to on Friday thought we would be safe given my last two fresh cycles and the way things were progressing.

Act 2- Driving home the friend who has a Mom in the hospital calls desperately seeking someone to watch her 12 month old son while her hubby works and she goes to the hospital down state to see her overnight. Of course I agree because she needs me and its only for a few hours. We weren't doing anything until tonight anyway. I call my husband and he reminds me he has to work all afternoon and I will be on my own. No big deal, I can handle two toddlers! Good practice, right?

Act 3- Hanging at home with the toddlers when the nurse calls and tells me the RE wants me to stim for at least two more nights and go for a scan on Monday. What?????!!! I need more drugs for tomorrow night!!! The thing is The only pharmacy that carries gonal f, and menopur is OVER THREE HOURS AWAY and closes at 3 PM. Its 11:45 and I can't leave because I have two toddlers and one car seat! What the hell am I going to do?

Act 4- All of a sudden it hits me, the Mother of this child I am watching is heading to a hospital in the same city as my RE... and more importantly the same city as the drugs that I need!!! Of course I am not going to ask her to pick them up with all she has going on but I do call her and confirm that she can bring them back with her tomorrow night in time for my injection if I can get them to her. I call a work colleague who also went through IVF who lives there and he is on his way into town to shop. Oh by the way, he lives in the same suburb outside of Grand Rapids where my friend is staying which is outside of town so the transfer will be a piece of cake.

Act 5- 12:30 I call the pharmacy which closes at 3 and place the order. No sooner do I get off the phone do I realize I need ganirelix too because even though I can order from Freedom for a Monday delivery the ganirelex won't be there until the afternoon and I take it in the morning. By this time everyone has left the RE's office and I have to page a nurse who calls in the order. Meanwhile my friend is pulling into the pharmacy and my daughter is hitting the other kid repeatedly over the head with an empty DVD case. Both kids are screaming.

Act 6- Everything is ordered and all is well. My friend made it to the pharmacy with over an hour to spare and will make the transfer tomorrow. Drugs will be here just in time for my injection!

The moral of this story? Pay the extra $1000 for the "just in case" drugs!!! :-)
What a long strange day it has been.... I need a drink!

Horsecrazy- any new pee sticks to share??? :D Hoping that line makes a comeback soon!!!

Leora- I will be a little farther behind you than we thought but I also may have more eggs. Hey, I just read your post about having 2 eggs fertilize last cycle. How many follicles did you have? You are having an amazing response this time and I was really surprised when I read that.

Leora- I added you, at least I think it's you, only one that popped up! Yes, I have been on lupron also which is supposed to keep me from ovulating. The abundance of ewcm just kind of made me paranoid!! Ya, I'm kind of bummed about waiting so long for a FET, but I figure he knows what he's doing!! We've been waiting 5 years, what's another couple of months, I suppose! (Ask me again in a few weeks!) lol

Bliss- OMG...what a day!! So glad everything worked out for you though!!
