My update - sigh!

Post by Tracey S »

Thought would set this up to update you as my other thread has grown and some of you are complaining I have you on tenterhooks - sorry!

WEll felt dreadful yesterday - could not walk or sit or do anything and then this awful low back pain and constant af pains etc etc. Eventually rang my midwife after dinner at 6.30pm and she thought I was in early labour so had to ring QMC in Nottingham. Went in and they did the etg's on the twins etc. I was sick when I arrived by the way and then they said they thought my temp was up - it was - therefore I probably had an infection! I was like "no way" it's being sick in the car. Had the most strange midwife ever (another story) To cut a long story short the twins were fine and I had no broken waters etc and only mild contractions or braxton hicks showed up.
They eventually did a membrane sweep - oh deep joy - not. The cervix is def CLOSED for business and still a way back. Teh Post partum if not descended far into the canal so after checking my temp again (which had gone down) and seeing a doc who was very cautious I must say they let me out - yehhhhhhhhhh!

Sorry folks no sign and they said if the cervix is still firmly closed on thursday then probably just leave me - Jules you might be right yet.
They have given me a 50/50 chance of making my meeting with them thursday so watch the space.
That's me folks
Happy weekend
Love
Tracey

Tracey

I am seriously impressed that you are still posting e-mails. I had you in the labour ward for sure by now!! You must have really prepared yourself for things to happen yesterday, then to be sent home again ......

I hope you feel more comfortable today and that the girls do their thing for you soon. 8)

I will continue to watch this space!

Lots of love and luck for the big day, you'll be fine and it'll all be worth it!

Those girls really do want to stay put!! Watching you with interest Tracey. Does the cervix not start to open as the head becomes engaged then?

Good luck, hope all goes well. :D

Hi Tracey,
most amazing - your twins really got the message that they should stay put! :) But I can imagine you are getting so uncomfortale now, I would want it to be over. Hope you can rest a bit! and I will be watching this space!

Hi Tracey,

I'm taking a quick cleaning break to check up on you. Thank you for the update. The twins seem to be nestled in tight. I hope they decide to make a break for it soon!

Thinking of you...

Tracey i find it really weird to read all the posts as you are still pg and i am not as we due not that far apart. I hope it happens soon for you. I was really uncomfortable at 33wks with one so i can sort of imagine what you are going through. I cannot believe that you have the energy to write all the replies and threads that you do.

Take care

Helen

I am seriously impressed Duncan has given you some spare time  Glad you are well

As for me - well just got back from the midwife - blood pressure fine - 120/70 and nad in urine so all good there - one twin head down still and still quite a way down and the other is transverse but high transverse with a head permanently under my ribs - ouch!

She says if the cervix is closed thursday they will not induce - oh deep joy - could do Jules' 40 wks!

Hi Tracey,
You know I grew up under communism and what they would have called you is a hero of socialist labour :) !
hang in there, hope you don't feel too sick, i really sympathise with how uncomfortable you must feel, i already can hardly find my place at 29 + weeks... But I am taking on some more walks following your example.
love,
juliana
