Congrats on graduating Cristie!

WARNING- Complaining from a woman who already has a baby. I was telling a friend yesterday about this cycle not going too well and that we were exploring the option of having an only child if it doesn't work out, and also potentially CCRM, or another go with Our current RE. She says "well whatever happens is ok because you already have Evelyn."

Ah! I know people mean well but I promise you this is just as painful as the first time through but I have the added pressure of feeling like its taking joy from the child I do have and that TICKS ME OFF. Now for sure it's easier in the sense that I am no longer crying daily wondering if I will ever have a baby or get to be pregnant. But it's still so hard and I want baby 2 as much as I wanted baby 1 and I also want it for her so she can have the type of relationship I do with my siblings.

I hate infertility.

Thanks for listening. How are all our newbies doing???

Amanda: congrats!!! Such great news! I wish you a happy and healthy 9 months!

Cristie: Congrats on graduating

Blissful: Sometimes people can cut you like a knife with their words. They just don't know what's is like to be in our shoes. It is a blessing to have your first child. But I can understand that strong want and need for the second. You're in my prayers sweetie. I pray your second beautiful baby will be in your arms soon.

AFM: Today DH and I are headed back to the hospital to get his semen analysis. I laughed so hard because when I set up the appointment the nurse reminded me that it is a half an hour appointment. I told DH not to be messing around in there. He's on a time schedule. LOL. He said they can have 28 minutes back because all he needs is 2. Lol...oooook. I'm excited to have my invetro orientation next week. My doctor should set a date for my surgery (tube removal) then. If she still thinks it's needed. I'm praying its not.

Ironchef: Welcome to the forum. I'm a newbie myself. I just joined last week. I had an ectopic pregnancy on last June. They removed one of my tubes. I haven't been able to get pregnant since. I started the invetro process at the beginning of this month. I haven't started my shots yet. I may have to have surgery to remove my remaining tube first. :( But I'm excited to start my road to babytown. I'm glad we will do this together!!!

Omg I feel like I've been gone too long! So much is happening and so much catching up to do here.

Congratualtions Amanda on you BFP, what wonderful news!

Welcome Ironchef!! I have to ask about the background of your pen-name. Are you a major chef that we need to know about so we can share recipes? lol I love to cook too but time is of essense. Hopefully someday I can get into the kitchen and whip up something better then sphagetti. lol Anyway Welcome and way to go on self-administrating the first injection, it takes ALOT of courage to do that. I remember my first time with the HCG trigger and I was scared to death!

Yay Cristie on graduating to the obgyn, it's quite bittersweet isn't it? The hardest adjustment to me with the obgyn right now is the wait between the appointments...At the clinic, we're so used to seeing a doctor regularly sometimes 3x a week but with the OB appts are once a month and it about kills me but I did NOT buy a doppler, I figured it would only drive me bat-shitty so we shall wait and wait some more until the next visit. Thank you Michael did have save travels and the week seemed to fly by. Tomorrow we'll find out if he got the job up in Alabama. I'm torn but I know God has the right plan for us.

Kristy- I hope your not delayed with the surgery but your doctor only knows what's best to give you the greater outcome. Your dh's S/A cracked me up...I remember when we went in for our very first IUI at my obgyn's office a very long time ago...the nurse said to me you can join him if he wants you in there. Michael was like oh I've got this, they have very comfy recliners and magazines in there. LOL!!

Alisa- I also hate IF too, all that uncertainty, no it sure hasn't been a walk in the park for any of us. When's beta? I pray this cycle will bring you a BFP< stay positive! Today is our CMN event at work, after many phone calls I got Red Robin to donate a red velvet cake. I called 4 pages of customer contacts to drive our event and now I'm missing the whole thing...My boss put me in charge of an event and then scheduled me off the day of Children's Miracle Network, go figure but I am proud of the girls for finding creative ways to help raise money for this cause. :D

AFM: Drama in my family but I decided to not let it get the best of me anymore. I'm pretty sensitive right now with all the stuff that is going on. Plus I could very well be packing tomorrow...if it everyting turns out well Michael will have a fulltime job up in Alabama this Fall but my plans would be to get this house sold and work out my maturnity leave so this would mean I would stay down here until at least January, we shall see!

Ironchef- Big welcome to you! We are glad to have you join us. Good luck on this cycle. Shots get easier all the time. After this third cycle I did not even worry about all the bruises. Just ignored them and went on. Small price to pay for a baby.

Christy- Glad to hear you are letting it go. Enjoy this baby. Fingers crossed for Micheal.

Alisa- I know this cycle has been far from ideal, but it is all out of your hands now. Just enjoy being PUPO and go with it. Not really any other choice right now. Positive vibes are better for that little one than anything else.

Kristy- My DH always feels so guilty that afterwards he practically drags me to the bedroom. I tease him he cheated on me with a magazine. LOL He says he is in and out as fast as possible. It is always fun to tease him that day.

Amanda- Did I miss your second beta?

AFM- Just hanging out and staying busy. Looking forward to u/s on 24 and OB on 29th. It will be interesting to see what ob says and thinks of me this time.

Cristie- I'm excited for your appt next week, it will give me something to look forward to while I play the waiting game over here. lol Michael still hasn't heard back from the job up in Alabama but I told him maybe they are still checking references. Next week hopefully we'll know more, at least call us one way or another so he can move on.

Ironchef- Wish I had more time to cook at home, but it's more about prioritizing time and making that trip to the grocery store. Often I'm texting dh to pick up our groceries and it's always the vey basic stuff. Although I won't let him throw out my spice rack. lol

AFM: Roughly two more weeks until our next doppler appt. -scheduled June 3rd. The big day will be June 21st to find out what we are having. 33 days and counting down! The garage is halfway full of my nephew's baby things my brother and SIL passed down to me. Dh is setting up a saving acct to hopefully help us pay off the IVF loan faster, the loan is financed through a bank up in New York and we cannot set up an account to make online payments since you have to do everything in person (not over the phone for security resaons) so we are trying to find other ways. haha although I wouldn't mind a trip up to New York! I'm hoping once we get it paid down enough we can switch it to a local bank and find a lower interest rate, but most local banks only let the customer borrow up to $10,000 per personal loan. Refinancing the house is out since we may be trying to move next year. Right now waiting to see if the colleges call dh back for a job offer, hopefully we'll find out something soon. Although last night I had a DREAM that dh found something right here in Florida. Guess I'm trying to find stability. Weirdly I had another dream that we didn't believe we were pregnant and went through another IVF and my doctor fixed me a steak dinner lol. My doctors are very cute and apparently I was having dinner with one of them ok lol.. Away he took me back to the operating room and checked first said you know you are still pregnant? I was in denial about the whole thing and thought no we thought we had lost the baby, so paranoid. This is my second dream I think it's a sign I need to move my appt up for peace of mind.

Failed 1st marriage, 4 wonderful children, 4 pregnancies successful. Wonderful new husband and father to stepchildren, adopting 15 and 8 yr olds. Tubaligation by cauterization, tubes too damaged. Wanted more children and now that I have a wonderful man to have more with, we have had one failed IVF attempt. Really anxious and nervous concerning 2nd round of IVF. No reasons as to why 1st attempt failed. AMH 1.72, egg quality of 25 yr old. I believe my age has something to do with it. Even though I have four children and feel blessed, my husband and I want more, even if it's just one. I hope this doesn't sound selfish. The 1st failed attempt kept me at an all time low. I'm trying to remain positive, but it is still difficult. I'm luckier than most, because I have a sister that has no children and I know a lot of women on here have no children either and my heart aches for them all. However, IVF to me is an emotional roller coaster and nerve racking. I wish everyone the best of luck. :D

MyLove- Welcome to the group. So sorry for your BFN. That is heartbreaking. I do not think you are selfish at all for wanting more. The heart wants what it wants. I too had 2 DD and my DH had 3 DD in another life. We had DS through our first cycle in May of 2011, one m/s last Sept and are currently 8 weeks pregnant with our number 2. I pray you get your little one. When you find the right guy it is so much easier. Many of our friends think we are crazy for starting over again in our 40's, but we are having the time of our lives. I wish you all the best. Do you have a plan for your next cycle? Keep us posted. We are here for you.

Christy- Glad I am giving you something to look forward to. It always fun to see our little ones. I am ready for Friday. Can't wait to see the growth. Hope you guys hear something early in the week. The waiting is so hard.

AFM- Nothing really new. Just tired all the time. No morning sickness which I almost feel guilty about, but I then I remember how sick I was with Ashlyn and feel I paid enough for all my pregnancies with her. 24/7 for 6 months that like to have killed me. One great think about pregnancy is how my sex drive kicks up a few notches. DH loves it too. :D
