Welcome mylove and ironchef! Best of luck to you.

Thanks to all the Cristie/Christie/Kristie's for your support LOL.

Been busy researching clinics and taking care of a toddler all day. Had a minor meltdown when my AP had to cancel my "implantation boost" appointment due to a cold. Better now. Going to disconnect from IF for a few hours and watch a move with my sweetie. More later!

suzyq wrote:MyLove- Welcome to the group. So sorry for your BFN. That is heartbreaking. I do not think you are selfish at all for wanting more. The heart wants what it wants. I too had 2 DD and my DH had 3 DD in another life. We had DS through our first cycle in May of 2011, one m/s last Sept and are currently 8 weeks pregnant with our number 2. I pray you get your little one. When you find the right guy it is so much easier. Many of our friends think we are crazy for starting over again in our 40's, but we are having the time of our lives. I wish you all the best. Do you have a plan for your next cycle? Keep us posted. We are here for you.

Christy- Glad I am giving you something to look forward to. It always fun to see our little ones. I am ready for Friday. Can't wait to see the growth. Hope you guys hear something early in the week. The waiting is so hard.

AFM- Nothing really new. Just tired all the time. No morning sickness which I almost feel guilty about, but I then I remember how sick I was with Ashlyn and feel I paid enough for all my pregnancies with her. 24/7 for 6 months that like to have killed me. One great think about pregnancy is how my sex drive kicks up a few notches. DH loves it too. :D
Thank you very much! This has been hard. I thought for sure the first time would work, but it did not. We haven't made any decisions for a 3rd round of IVF. We've depleted all funds. I hope and pray it works this time. These medications are so hard on you physically and mentally. I can't sleep due to the Medrol. It seems like I'm complaining but I didn't realize what so many women and men were going through. It's putting a strain on our relationship because I'm hormonal as my husband would say. He avoids me except to make sure I take my medications on time and to give me my injections. I wonder if we're the only couple whom has reached this point. The first time, I thought I was very evil, this time I guess I really don't know. I really applaud all of the women whom have been through this time after time and not murdered anyone, hurt their spouse's feelings, not ripped thier own hair from thier head or been down right cranky mean. I've yet to learn all the correct abbrevations, but I hope my procedure information is understandable.
Thanks again SuzyQ,

Dawn: Welcome to the forum. I'm glad you're here with us so we can give you the support you need. You are definitely not the only couple that's going through this. Although I have not started my meds yet I know it will be a roller coaster for me. I'm already VERY hormonal during my cycles. It seems like after I lost my tube last year it got worse. My husband just goes into his man cave and send me texts asking when is it ok to come back into the room. He already knows what awaits him once I start the shots. I will keep you and your hubby in my prayers.

Dawn- we were very much like that in the beginning. Now he has the pattern down and is also going through pain and is much better at expressing it (after 3 months of weekly couples therapy). He is my best cycle bud now, doesn't understand it all, doesn't do research, and they won't But he listens and helps. Like today I was having a VERY rough day so he took our daughter and let me go outside on our deck for a nap. I will swear until my dying day that IF has made us closer. Even before the baby. Hang in there.

Christy- Wednesday is beta (there is a countdown in my siggy). Other than total exhaustion I don't feel the slightest bit pregnant and have also not seen a positive pee stick. Still hopeful but also working on plan b and c. ;-) Both involve switching REs and I think I am going to CCRM. I also completed a request for Attain- you did that right? Not sure of the stips yet but there is a center in Chicago I like that supports it.

Hugs and baby dust to all.

Dawn- Vent any time you need to here. This is the one place you can without judgement. Someone here has been through it and will understand. The hormones can be a killer. I know the last cycle I went through beta hell and m/c and I thought I handled it pretty well. Come to find out later that was not the case. My DD thanked me one day for having her normal mom back. Apparently, I had been cranker than I thought. Then the cost is a heart breaker as well. This group has helped me keep my sanity. DH does not get it. I used to talk to him about a lot of things in IVF, but he did not get it. I think he is relieved he does not have to hear it all now. Hugs to you. This is a tough journey. I think I jumped the gun in my last post. You are still in the midst of your second cycle right? I was just looking back. You just transferred and beta is the 31st?

Brightstar-Kristy and Amanda- How are you doing?

Alisa- If need be just call me Suzyq. I am a Cristie Sue anyways. Good luck this week. Praying you get your BFP.

Cristie: I'm doing fine. This is the week I'm suppose to wait on AF to come and get my ultrasound. However, AF is taking her sweet little time. She is 2days late. I had a feeling It might be because I started taking prenatal vitamins this cycle. Everytime I take prenatals it causes my period to be late. So now I'm just waiting. My invetro orientation is set for this Friday 5/24. They're suppose do a mock transfer on that day too. I may reschedule that to next Thursday because I can't imagine doing that on my period. Even though the nurse said it would be ok. Ugh gross. I would be so uncomfortable. Other than that I'm just excited to start this journey!

Ironchef: How are you?

Brightstar/Kristy- We will all have to do the AF dance for you. You know you need to wear white pant and your cutest undies to get her to come. Will you start on BCP for the cycle? Do you have a calendar yet? Understand about AF and mock, but I really don't think they care. You will have to go in for baseline US with AF when you start your cycle. Might as well get used to it now. Up to you though. My DH went to the orientation and made it a hoot. My RE loved it, but not sure the other couples did. DH asked if we could return them when they become teens for a few years. Re said it was the most fun she ever had at an orientation. If nothing else it really helped us form a great relationship with her and the other staff. Hope you week goes well and really fast. This waiting is the pits.

Sorry this reply has taken so long.. Had no internet for a few days. They gave me the numbers for the progesterone levels. The first was 40 and the second number was 711on the 15th. Is that the same as beta ( I feel stupid that I don't know what beta is) I go in for my first ultra sound on the 28th to hear the heart beat! Hope you all are doing well! Will have to go back and read to catch up on you all! :)

Amanda-Beta is measuring the Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin - hCG, the hormone produced by the body during pregnancy. Progesterone is always present in a woman's cycle, but is higher in pregnancy. Not sure if your doc was comparing hcg or progesterone. Hard to tell. I am sure all is well since you have an u/s date. Congrats on being preggers. :D

AFM-I have been having a horrible time sleeping since I have to pee in the night and then lay awake for hours. Finally last night I got 6 hours uninterrupted sleep and feel a whole lot better. Just hanging out waiting for second u/s this Friday. Thought about canceling it since I see my regular OB next Wednesday. Just found out with our new insurance I have to meet the deductible of $500 before it will kick in and pay the 80%. I guess I will have to pay it sometime so better sooner than later since I am probably high risk.

Hope all is well with everyone. :D

Hi everyone! I'm new to this site, and I just had a 5-day embryo transfer yesterday. They got 13 eggs at my egg retrieval, 10 were mature, and 9 fertilized. I was pretty disappointed when I went in for my transfer, only to find out that none had made it to blastocysts. They transferred 2 early blasts, and I got a called today they were able to freeze 1 that had turned into a blastocyst. As you all know, the wait until the beta is extremely hard, and I was hoping that someone maybe had an experience where a morula or early blast turned into a successful pregnancy? Wishing lots of luck to all of you fellow 2013 IVF Cyclers!

Cristie/SuzyQ: My doc said that she will start me on BCP. I do not have a calendar yet. And guess what...still no AF. I ran home and put on some pretty undies and my all white jammies to sleep in. And nada. It feels like its coming and I have sore boobs and all but nothing. Oh well. I will still keep my orientation/mock transfer appointment on this Friday. I'm gonna have to get over feeling gross. Was the mock transfer uncomfortable at all? By the way congrats on your 6 hours of sleep :D

Amanda: good luck on your ultrasound on the 28th. I'm gonna think about you all day on that day

Bloomi: Welcome to the board. I will say a special prayer for you.

Suzyq- I am very thankful to have other women to talk to. I took a HPT yesterday and this morning, 3dpt and 4dpt. They were neg, so I know now that the HCG trigger is out of my system. I don't really know when to test again to see if I have my own HCG. I read that with 3dt that it may take as long as the 11th dpt to get a BFP. Not really sure. I still have swollen sore Bs, abdominal tightness, cramping, sharp twinges in the wonderland, but I believe that Progesterone causes these symptoms as well, that's if I'm correct. My DH was diagnosed with Essential Tremors 2 weeks ago and yesterday our fam dr said he may have a blood disorder and need to see a hematologist. I woke up at 3ish am with chest soreness and coughing up phlegm. I hope that this will not affect my babies from attaching. I know now that this is our 2nd and last round due to medical conditions with my DH. With my regular pregnancies, those symtoms were BFP, but with IVF, I'm still lost and confused even though this is our 2nd time. However, I didn't experience these symptoms as long as I have this time. It's 50/50 chance and right now, I'm distraught and hoping for BFP. Has anyone else experienced these symptoms for so long? OH and I've had migraines on a daily basis. 2-3 a day.

Kristy,
Thank you! This forum has been so helpful to me and kept my spirits up this time. We are better since yesterday. I apologized for being Queen B and he apologized and now we are back to our normal relationship. Thank God! I think we let all the stress come out at each other instead of working together with it this time. The 1st time he was wonderful. This time he was ill and we had no clue.
